"I visited this bar for drinks and a light snack on two consecutive nights. On the first night, we tried an IPA that we didn't really enjoy, but we made a better choice on the second night and had the most amazing cider! Both evenings, we ordered the Thai fries, and let me tell you—they are little bites of heaven! They remind me of the log-cut fries I used to have as a kid, but in mini form! Each fry is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, seasoned just right, and the sweet chili sauce is the perfect dip. In addition to their impressive drink selection and tasty snacks, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!"

"first I will say that we have been awarded in mantra several times and good/service. we usually come here for occasions and that was one, my kumpels this time we cost the meal, I had tarmarind that was very nice. then I ate. what must have been a hot chili that was in the plate. my mouth was in fire and I cried! we called the waitress who said between giggling that it might have been accidentally, got me more water as I asked for some and a menu for me to confirm it, said mildly I had chilis before, never this hot and it ruined the meal and also they had a chance to try and make it better what they did not take and giggled. I'm sorry youngs they have lost a few groups or quite regular customers"

"The food at this restaurant is delightful with plenty of options to choose from. The service is top-notch, making it a great spot for a lunch outing. The price per person ranges from £80 to £90, but it is well worth it for the quality of food and service. I highly recommend trying the Pad Thai, Belly Pork Prawn Stir Fry, and Tom Yum for a delicious meal. The atmosphere is also lovely, earning a 5-star rating in my book."

"I absolutely adore this restaurant. The tofu green curry (A Kaeng Kheaw Wan Tao Hoo) and the vegetarian phad Thai are absolutely delicious. They also offer a delightful starter of Tom Phak Gra Tri, vegetables in coconut milk and peanut sauce. One of the greatest things about this place is that half of their menu is vegetarian. When I ordered the pad Thai, the waitress kindly checked if I was Vegan and if I was okay with egg in the dish, which I found to be a thoughtful gesture. I have visited this restaurant multiple times and will definitely be returning. I would love to give it a perfect 5-star rating, but unfortunately, I cannot."

"I had a nice lunch here. my friends living in the opposite, recommended me to try. 3 of us, when and it was not disappointed. we had the express lunch deal. 2 courses for £10.95 but for seafood is £2 extra. starter we have chosen chickensatay, dim sums maiskuchen. the starter comes as 2 pieces for each product. I had seafood rad na nudel. my friends had huh wheel na that is a thick noodle with gravy vegs. my other friends had pad thai. my friends also had dinner here often, they said that they always enjoy it and his best Thai food in epsom. I agree that thai is often disappointed if it is not authentic enough. large clean place with friendly staff. the icy with cream was also beautiful. I'll go back when I'm back in the opposite."

"Situated right in the heart of Portobello Market, this cozy restaurant transports you to Thailand with its authentic flavors. Our party of 8 was accommodated without a reservation, and we were all impressed with the delicious dishes we ordered. The standout dish was the Mango Sticky Rice - a must-try! We will definitely be returning for more."

"I would love for this review to be a 5 but unfortunately, I am unable to do that. Upon booking the table over a week before our visit I was told that the table would be ours for the evening because we were a large group. We were asked to pay a £10 deposit per person this was absolutely fine and we all paid well in advance. The table was booked for a hen/birthday party so we were all looking forward to a nice meal before heading out for the rest of the night. Unfortunately though, this didn’t happen. I had originally booked the table for 7:30pm, however on the day of the booking it was obvious to us that getting there for that time was going to be a struggle so I rang the restaurant and ask if it was okay for us to arrive for 8pm instead. The woman on the phone said this was absolutely fine and actually thanked me for letting them know well in advance. We all arrived just after 8pm (11 of us in total and were seated quickly. This is where everything began to go downhill… it was at least 10 20 minutes before our drinks order was taken and then a further 20 minutes before the waitress took our food order. A couple of people in our party ordered 2 4 1 cocktails and after waiting a further 20 minutes after everyone else’s drinks arrived the waitress came to tell us that they were waiting for the ingredients as the cocktails were coming from the bar next door. So by this time it’s about 9pm and the cocktails still haven’t arrived. So we asked the waitress where the drinks were and shortly after the cocktails arrived We did complain about this and was told that because of the long wait, the price of the cocktails would be taken off of the bill. I don’t think this would’ve happened though if we hadn’t made a fuss about how long it took. That was just the start… Finally after around 75 minutes of waiting, our starters finally arrive which tasted lovely. We then waited a further 30 minutes before we had to ask where our mains were and the waitress went to check. It’s now 10pm and we’ve been in the restaurant 2 hours! The waitress comes back and says it’ll be another 10 minutes. We all then collectively decided that we were going to leave it as we’d already missed another reservation we had and we were on a Hen Do! We were meant to be having dinner and going on a night out we’d had enough! A few minutes later, the waitress comes out and tells us (conveniently our food was ready; But by this time we were fed up and had decided to leave. Shortly after we told the waitress, “sorry, no thank you, we’re fed up” the owner(? comes out from the kitchen and demands we stay to eat the food. We apologise and explain that we’ve been waiting over two hours and we have decided we want to leave and as we had previously explained to the waitress that we had other plans for the evening. The woman then starts shouting at us and accusing us of being over an hour late to our reservation and demands the waitress gets the order receipt to prove herself right! When we said that this doesn’t prove anything because the waitress took ages to even take our order and that I had called to tell them we wanted to move our reservation to 8pm, she then says that we hadn’t paid our deposit and we couldn’t leave! She then was just arguing with different members of our party until we all just got up and left. We wasn’t rude to anyone and we just wanted a nice meal that wasn’t going to take an entire evening to arrive. They knew it was a hen party and that we were planning to be out afterwards and they just took the mick. Throughout the two hours there, we were polite and respectful the restaurant was so deadly quiet I don’t think anyone wanted to disturb anyone. The atmosphere was completely dead and felt awkward. So we all left the restaurant, hungry, disappointed and annoyed at the treatment we had received. It ruined the beginning of a night we had planned for 9 months and it’s just not okay. To be honest, if they had apologised and treated us differently, we probably would’ve stayed and enjoyed the food. If the restaurant cannot handle large bookings, they shouldn’t accept them. The Lek Thai lost a lot of money that night."

"Thai pot at Covent Garden London serves delicious, tasty Thai food. Thai green curry is fresh with vegetables and you have options to take prawns or chicken. The chicken wings was crispy and tasty too. The papaya salad was the best dish and a perfect salad to start your meal with. It had the perfect balance of spice and sweetness and really done well. It’s worth the visit and you have to try the papaya salad for sure. The service was super quick, good ambience and very convenient access from the Covent Garden station. Highly recommend this place"

"We have been frequenting this restaurant for fish and chips for many years. Unfortunately, our recent experiences have left us rather disappointed and we will not be returning. While the chips and batter are still delicious, the main focus of the meal - the fish - has not met our expectations. The fish has not seemed very fresh on multiple occasions, a problem we never encountered before. Additionally, we have received questionable portion sizes when we ordered the "large" fish portions. The Chinese cuisine remains excellent as noted in my previous review, but the fish and chips have been a disappointment. It's a shame."

"Ordered a watermelon juice which tasted really old, considering it was the hottest day of the year we can give them some space. Waiter JJ who was excellent, immediately changed it for some Orange juice which tasted nice, normal orange juice nothing wow or different. Went straight for main course Ordered Prawn red curry, fried red snapper fish in a chilli sauce, coconut sticky rice Fried red snapper was not impressive at all. A rating, not impressed. The prawn red curry was great, a Flavour was awesome, thick gravy and delicious prawns. Could have had some vegetables in the dish though and perhaps more gravy Coconut rice was nice, average...nothing wow. Gave us...read more"

"Went for lunch and were the first to be seated. Around 10 minutes later other diners came, communicating in their first language with staff. We were sat waiting to order, no one came back. A young man came to ask if we wanted drinks, we said no and wanted to order food. He just left and didn't take our order as it wasn't his job. Sat there watching staff standing at the juice bar. Then the two diners who arrived after 10 minutes after is were served their food. All still while our order wasn't taken. We were contemplating leaving. A lady sent food back and new food was prepared before our order was even taken. The second time I've been to paste and I felt discriminated against on this occasion. People of the same nationality were served first. One diner finished their meal and we hadn't even had our order. I won't be going back. Shame the foods nice. Cheeky they included a tip on the bill, when we had extremely poor and bad service."

"Private party in from but not told of this when booking, we were rushed out of the restaurant at There was no fish and chips on the menu, one starter had to be returned as it was cold our main meal was rushed and we didn’t have any time to order a dessert. The food was very bland. After we paid the bill reluctantly in cash, we Were then accused of underpaying. The waitress was asked to recount the cash found it to be correct and did apologise. This was our third visit to this restaurant and I am afraid our last."

"my first experience of thai food. our friends went to chaophraya in edinburgh and loved it. Although chaophraya is a chain, it seems that everyone is something different. this special place had a beautiful ambiente and decor to put a chilled mood. we were received to sit up. a beautiful spacious opposite. a very wide menu, very well organized, but so hard to know what to choose with the many options. the only place where I have ever frangelico on the drink card! a definitive winner! a “must taste” drink! my eating option was very good and the additional egg frying was also not disappointed. Unfortunately my wife wasn't too sharp. the service is also friendly. they are observing and thoughtful support, where possible, very good. Although it seems to be a lot of waiters/waxes standing around you and eating you, which makes it easy to unpleasant. the toilet areas are clean and regularly controlled, keeping a clean standard. parking is also plentiful. there are many places to park, to walk from the restaurant. Thai food would not be my personal first option, but if they are in Thai food, then this might be the place for them. as a Google reviewer in the top 10% of the reviewers for the restaurants we were also granted a 15% discount, which was very friendly. many thanks to all employees in chaophraya."

"Finally found a baguette worth talking about at Polo Pasta, Birmingham. Tried the tuna, fresh, flavourful, and genuinely satisfying. The bread was spot on: crusty outside, soft inside. No gimmicks, just great taste. It’s rare to find something this simple done so well. No match and no comparison. Just a must-try. Highly recommend. "Tried this place on the way back from the gym tonight as it's always jam packed when I pass it, seems to be a good sign even though it's quite small. It's very authentic, you can hear the kitchen sizzling in the background and there's a lovely positive and friendly vibe, almost as if you were temporarily transported to Thailand ! I only had a main course and decided to deviate from my usual thai red chicken curry. It's a really extensive menu for a small place and I went for hoh mok Kai, which is steamed chicken in red curry paste and coconut milk with egg and thai herbs according to the menu. A bit dry for my liking but I'm glad I tried something new. The quantity was enough for two very hungry people, maybe I look like I need beefing up !! Anyway defo worth a trip for some very real Thai with great service."

"Must Try: All Bar One NachosWe visited this restaurant on a Monday night hence it was relatively quiet. All Bar One has a lovely and cosy dining area.We were famished hence we decided to go with two starters and try the classic All Bar One Nachos and the Garlic Flat Bread with Cheese. By far one of the best nachos I have tried. The nachos was not too crispy and had a thin layer of cheese already on it making it perfectly soft. The sour cream, salsa, guacamole and cheese individually and combined was delicious. For the main course we tried the BBQ Pulled Pork and the Chicken Breast served with Gravy and Rice. Both dishes were absolutely divine. The pork was well cooked and melted in the mouth with the BBQ sauce. The gravy had the right amount of flavor and went well with the fried chicken and rice. For drinks we decided to try the mango and peach bellini which was nice however their mango daiquiri was too strong which overpowered the flavour of the drink. The service was fair and the prices are good. they have various offers for meals for two which makes it apt for date nights or just dining for two. Overall a nice restaurant to visit."

"Stopped here last Friday on our way to Oxford at the height of storm Eunice. What a fabulous pub/eatery. Received a very warm welcome from the landlady which was much appreciated given the hazardous conditions we were travelling in. The few locals at the bar also extended a friendly welcome. Our Thai lunch was delicious and freshly cooked. Just wish we lived locally to enjoy this establishment again and again. Old style restrooms and spotlessly clean! If you’re travelling up/down the M40 and fancy a great place for lunch, just hop off at Junction 6 and you are less than 5 minutes from this lovely pub."
