"it is great to quarter cities that it has brought the brilliant cathedralen district to belfast. It is bad that they tend to forget the amazing place already before their doorstep, which are not in such quarters. so it is with thai village restaurant on the dublin road I just forget. I've been here for six years! I loved it then and I don't know why it took me so long to return, I guess belfast has so many new restaurants today that I have forgotten some of the older ones already in life. the menu is extensive with a whole vegetarian section. we ordered appetizers of deep fried bean curd and herbal tempura with sweet chili and peanut dimmer sauce. main thing were vegetable green thai curry, jungle curry, mushroom salad and steamed rice. eating and the wine (pinot grigio) was fabulous as the service of the beautiful Thai waiting staff. Although we were full, we had to try a dessert and decide for Thai pancakes. we cleaned our tellers! I will return soon and I picked up the Takeaway menu that this restaurant is fantastic. updated by previous review on Saturday, 15th august 2015"

I had a vegetable fried rice that was very far away from a thai fried rice. Mushrooms soup was good.

Very good Thai restaurant, not too expensive. On the other hand, rather far from the center, go by bus or Uber. The service was perfect, the staff very kind. View menu

Delicious food. Extremely reasonably priced: 40.5 for 1 starter 2 mains and 2 drinks. Staff are extremely pleasant and efficient. Atmosphere is fantastic, music is pleasant and at a reasonable volume. Very peaceful environment for a lovely meal. Overall it was wonderful, would recommend.

I visited Thai village with a colleague. we had eaten Indian four nights and he wanted a change. eating and the restaurant atmosphere was absolutely spot-on. eating is really beautifully aromatized and presented. the personal was really friendly and attentive, without being overlaid. I will come back on my next belfast journey.

i was at the door before it was opened i was so hungry. within ten minutes i was seated, watered and tucking into my starter of thai coconut, red curry mushroom soup..delicious. closely followed by the vegetable fried rice, again, lovely. the staff are very attentive and they have a dedicated vegetarian section to the menu which is quite extensive. overall, very good and recommended. £13 for two courses and a drink. I love this place the tofu green curry (a kaeng kheaw wan tao hoo) and the vegetarian phad thai are delicious. they serve a beautiful tom phak gra tri starter, sweet in cocos milk and peanut sauce. a great advantage of this restaurant is not only how delicious it is, but the fact that half of the menu is vegetarian. when ordering the pads thai, the waitress was nice enough to ask if I was vegan and if I were to be ordered with a platte in the plate. I thought it was a nice touch. I'm back several times and I'll be back a few more. I want to give the restaurant 5 but I can't.

we have made a few visits to Thai village, but were never so impressed by their vegetarian options, appetizers like fried tofu and early roll are standard tariff, while some of the escapes listed under the vegetarian section actually contain fish sauce that we have learned after the request. service was pleasant, and they were able to leave the fish sauce when we demanded it, but we did not find the resulting dishes especially remarkable noodles were oily and sweet and acidic sweet came with a soaked, the smeared business bought. overall the meal was acceptable, but not among our belfast favorites.
