"there was brunch, tried the lotus shake and it was sooo good. "Bluewater was very busy in general and the restaurant did not like the fact we had booked via open table. Although our table for was accepted we did not get seated until The starter was quick but we did not get out mains until No free bread or olives were offered despite us continually asking how much longer they were going to be. The price was the very expensive for a few lamb kofte burgers although we did have to keep ordering drinks to get us through until our food finally came out. Food was good although some of our groups food was cold but we daren't send it back as everyone was famished."

"Very poor service, lack of cleanliness of the place, our table was really dirty and there was not intention to keep it clean for customers. I was disappointed this time. We wanted to celebrate with my family an special occasion, sadly either the staff was tired or they didn’t make an effort to even take an order from my teenager nephew and he was ignored. It’s not difficult to make people feel welcome to a place where we come often, at least before this experience. What a pity to have a good product but to loose customers because of staff attitude and lack of cleanliness."

"When we walked in we thought it looked rather nice, but then we were shown to a very grubby room at the back. My husband was seated on a tatty banquette; 2 feet from him there was a huge rip in it with a cushion placed to conceal this but it had been moved. The banquette had a dip in it so he was too low to eat comfortably from the table. When mentioned to the waiter he promptly redirected us to another table, sadly, the top on this table was very loose moved at least an inch up down, probably not a good idea as I was eating soup. We then moved to an adjoining table on our own volition. The room itself felt dark, dingy unappealing. Probably because of all this, we didn't enjoy the food as ambience goes a long way towards this, so we couldn't wait to leave."

"The food was alright. Expensive for what it is really small portions of meat, over generous with rice. Small starters and desserts. It was a bit bland and boring. The food came quickly enough but the table service was slow, we were there 2.5 hours! I had to get up and chase the waitress across the restaurant to ask for the bill. They add the service charge on, so you would have to request it’s removed if you don’t agree with it. The restaurant is decorated nicely though, has a nice atmosphere."

"I have been here once for their afternoon tea as recommended by friends. The environment was great the food however was not on par. Since it was not too busy we were led outside into the garden and seated in a private glass room shaped like a bird-cage. The surroundings was absolutely beautiful and serene, a great setting for a meal anytime of the day. When the afternoon tea set arrived through it was not the standard I was expecting, the sandwiches were dry and the desserts like their chocolate cakes were sickly sweet. "Went for the Sunday Jazz Feast bottomless brunch. We don’t drink so we enquired about non alcoholic options. Was pleasantly surprised that they offered a just bottomless food option where we could order drinks separately. Felt like this was a good start, but that was probably the only good surprise we experienced. We were quite disappointed that there were no oysters despite all the PR and reviews saying unlimited oysters. All over IG and Tik Tok it’s reviews about oysters, so that was disappointing. Felt that there were not a huge amount of options for seafood and starters/salads. The roasts looked good but found the meat was seasoned very heavily with salt. The gravy/jus was very watery. Must say the carver was very friendly though! Most of the other hot food (sausages with mash, chicken, risotto) were cold and looked unappetising due to looking dry and congealed. I understand it’s difficult on a buffet to keep things looking fresh but the temperature of the hot food was just too cold. Also not sure why they felt the need to slice the sausages in half? Dessert selection was also very limited and the cheese selection placed on the same table which had a very overwhelming smell. Definitely put me off, I didn’t eat any desserts. Service wise I noticed the tables around us were getting a good level of service, having their bottomless drinks topped up regularly. Maybe it was because we were just ordering our drinks separately and were not consuming alcohol I felt like we didn’t get the same attentive service. Waiters were having conversations with other guests and tables and we barely got a sideways glance. Took ages for us to get someone’s attention to order more drinks, get a top up of water etc. I was tempted to try to ask if I could order oysters but couldn’t get the attention of a waiter so just gave up. Even asking for the bill took longer than needed. Being busy we wanted to free up our table promptly for them. On our departure we barely got a thank you for paying nor a goodbye. Overall feel a bit underwhelmed and slightly cheated that one of the star attractions of this brunch buffet was oysters that weren’t even there. But the contrast in service to other tables and us was what really made this a sour experience. Although vastly more expensive, will probably stick to The Ned or even something like Nobu Shoreditch bottomless brunch."

"I booked this place for my Mum's birthday lunch, 12 of us in total. It had been recommended highly by a friend and it didn't disappoint. Our waiter was very attentive and always made sure we had enough drinks. He was able to cater for my Gluten Free dietary requirements with ease and everyone enjoyed their meal. They also kept my Mum's cake in their fridge for us and brought it out at the end with a song and lots on enthusiasm. We al enjoyed our time here and I would definitely go again."

"After dining at this restaurant multiple times, I made a reservation for dinner with three friends and was extremely let down by the decline in quality. The cocktails lacked flavor, the wine was tasteless, and all the food was overly salty. The lemon sole was overcooked, the butter sauce tasted burnt instead of nutty. The aubergine main dish was small and lacked flavor, more suitable as a starter. The halloumi main was bland and the sole goujons were lukewarm at best. The dessert, rhubarb frangipane, tasted like a subpar Bakewell tart with minimal rhubarb, and the Balthazar coupe was overly sweet. At a price of £270, this meal was far too expensive for the subpar quality. I am unsure if there has been a change in management at this restaurant, but I was truly disappointed and embarrassed to have recommended it to my friends. I will not be returning or suggesting this restaurant to others in the future."

"Food was tasty even though menu was confusing. We were handed a Sunday lunch menu (set menu of up to 3 courses) and a separate lunch menu. We asked and were told that we could not 'mix and match ' between them.... but the table behind us were allowed to. We were also asked to order all 3 courses at the start of the meal... again, other tables were not forced to do this. The service was lacking both in substance and hospitality staff need to learn to smile! I had soup not overly hot and no bread to accompany, followed by turkey roast had to ask for cranberry sauce (which looked exactly the same as the 'jam ' used on my sisters starter and dessert). We were very underwhelmed as expected so much more from the beautiful surroundings and majestic building"
