"Today a few colleagues and I attended Stanmer for the second time on a complimentary lunch as our work Christmas party was so awful. I wish we hadn’t. Christmas party (main points or we will be here all day... shocking service no waiting staff long wait for pre ordered food from set menu, between starter and dinner 1.5 hours and dinner and dessert another 1.5. drinks order never arrived bar had to bring it missing veg from mains including potatoes awful desserts some big some small some over cooked some not cooked at all. drinks bill given when not even finished awful DJ rude bar staff This resulted in us not paying on the night and Stanmer giving us a complimentary lunch. Today’s lunch (only 4 staff came the others didn’t want to waste their time very poor service, was not asked if food was ok, not asked if we wanted more drinks, things being dropped and spilt all over the place. cold food blue beef when told would be medium rare table next to us complained also. staff running round like headless chickens much like the Xmas party. In the end we were sick of waiting for our drinks bill, walked out and paid at the bar. I can safely say I shall not be returning, I shall not be having my wedding reception here and I will never ever recommend this place. What a waste of money doing it up, to have a poor reputation. As a local person and business owner I am thoroughly disappointed and can recommend much better places for you to spend your hard earnt cash. I feel sorry for the woman getting married here next week, good luck to her and I hope we gave her enough warning to make sure the team have correct staffing levels and skills before the big day... they can’t even cope with a Sunday roast."

Me and my boyfriend came for a late summer play. Wonderful location, stunning house in itself, lovely garden and the view is breathtaking. We will definitely come back again.

When I went here for my birthday I had a wonderful experience, the food was amazing, especially the white chocolate cheesecake! The waitress who served us Morgan was very attentive, and was even able to speak to my husband in private to arrange a surprise birthday cake and shout out in the show for me. And of course, the show was outstanding, stunning performers, great show.

Attended a Halloween event over the weekend! For a bar that charges a ludicrous amount for their beverages. We were served the wrong drink twice, with rude service. Ordered a Malibu and got some other concoction. Queued forever to get it changed. On the second order thought a double vodka lemonade and lime was more manageable but received soda water. Queued forever again to be greeted with a 'syrup ' problem and to go back to the the main bar and queue again .After the barstaff failed to believe us and tried the beverage they finally agreed to remake the drinks while quoting I don 't even care anymore .
