"Service and ambiance was excellent, and the view was gorgeous even in cooler, drizzly weather. I arrived earlier than my reservation and was the first diner for afternoon tea service, so was given my pick of seating. As a traveler who depends heavily on a smartphone to get around, I appreciated that there were convenient wall outlets adjacent to many tables so I could charge my phone while I ate. And as a solo traveler, I appreciated my server offering to take several photos for me and checking on me throughout the meal in a friendly but unobtrusive way. All of the finger sandwiches, bite-size desserts, and scones (superb with their clotted cream and 2 jams) were well-presented, delicious, and surprisingly filling. Earl grey tea was of excellent flavor and perfect temperature. Between the fantastic customer service, lovely table settings, absolutely beautiful garden views from the Orangery, and all of the delectable food and drink, it 's truly too hard to pick just one 'best feature ' at Number Sixteen."
