"This has always been my preferred pub when in the area. In all the years I have been coming here I had never had a bad pint .... until now. Upon arrival, the usual array of Fullers ales (and a guest) were available. The music was quiter than usual, but that is no bad thing on a week-day afternoon. The London Pride, however, was (too warm and) of very poor quality (one of my friends even suggested that it might be a different ale). I did try to discuss the matter with a member of staff but to no avail. I looked round and was concerned to see that no one else appeared to be drinking real ale (lagers and guiness appeared to dominate). We did try to persist (with the Pride and an alternative ale) but were forced to try an alternative venue (where, fortunately, the London Pride was fine). I hope this is a one-off aberration and that normal service resumes as soon as possible."

We had a lovely time for drinks here. The staff are friendly and the drinks are well priced. Definitely recommend.

This restaurant is a great spot to enjoy some beers! I will definitely come back when I return to London. The music is really good, especially if you're a fan of rock music.

As a 71 year old I found the music (which sounded punk to me) was rather loud. However I did like the fact that the decor was entirely unspoilt and the beer was well kept. My pint was excellent.

A very lively pub with an interior proper decked out for the pirate theme. It’s a friendly crowd and the bar staff were good and very efficient even when it’s busy. For some late evening drinks in a group I highly recommend. View menu

Really poor experience. Bar staff didn’t know what tonics they had They offered us ginger beer instead Then only diet tonic available. Then they played the most excruciating heavy metal music. Need to understand the locality. Appalling

Called in at The Ship as was going for Dinner nearby. Great selection of drinks including well kept ale. We were going to move on but stayed until dinner. We didn't eat here but could see they sold pies. The staff were very welcoming. Prices for drinks reasonable.

I have been visiting the Ship since the late 1980 's and one of the key elements was the absence of the conversation killer 'a television '. Why are Fuller 's destroying the integrity of this Soho institution. I have given a three rating for the service, otherwise it would have been a one. View menu

I happened upon The Ship on a late Monday night, hoping for a post-show beer to unwind. We were greeted by Chris and given the opportunity to win a free beer. Fortunately, I won, though my wife did not. It was a pleasant and interactive introduction. The bar was not too crowded, allowing us to chat with the staff and other patrons. If you want to feel like a local in a London pub, this is the place to be. Great bar!

The staff at this restaurant showed exceptional integrity and were a joy to be around. We realized that we had left behind a credit card and ID four days after dining there. A quick call on the night we left confirmed that they had been holding onto them the entire time, and they were promptly returned to us with a smile. Some may say we were lucky, but it was truly thanks to the honesty of the staff that we were able to recover our belongings. We highly recommend this establishment and suggest leaving a generous tip. This restaurant is perfect for hosting business meetings and is run by good, trustworthy people. Thank you!
