"We had an absolutely magical evening. It was my friend's birthday and Veronica and Rhiannon took care of us so well! Veronica was excellent with her suggestions and recommendations, not to mention her humor and hospitality as a whole! We smiled and laughed all the time. Rhiannon was so beautiful and friendly to us, so patient with all the small inquiries and made the night so smooth for us. She even helped us make some amazing pictures to perpetuate the experience. The food was brilliant; absolutely delicious, came in good time, and very well prepared. Compliments to the bosses! Special word for the Lychee Sorbet and Yuzu ice, for dying. Also the beautiful birthday desert they gave us was fantastic! Overall a brilliant experience 20/10"

"Okay people, they have upped the game for vegan Sunday roasts! The vegan Wellington seemed to me like a beyond meat/beetroot/veg combination that was hearty, juicy, and full of flavor. Huge portion sizes. Veg cooked to perfection. Extra savory gravy. I am completely impressed! It’s so nice to have an actual Sunday roast and not just veggies as the afterthought “vegan option”. The staff is super friendly and made every effort to accommodate us even when we didn’t have a booking during an extremely busy Sunday lunch. Adding to that, service was speedy and our food arrived perfectly hot. Full honesty on dessert, the vegan chocolate mousse could use some tweaking. The texture was a bit too thick and would be great served with vegan cream or caramel. Again, I really appreciate the Red Lion making a noticeable effort on the plant based options. They’re nailing it and I can’t wait to come back to try their other vegan dishes! "I’ve never been so incensed. I reserved a table for six people for today at six. I received a confirmation from the WestRoom with a booking reference last year. We arrived and were met with an unapologetic and frankly rude “we don’t have that booking in our system and we have no space”. No effort was made to see what could be done. “Computer says no”. To be fair the serving staff were sorry, but the manager was awful. Her best attempt was to say “yes I can see your confirmation email, I can see your booking reference but we have no record of it so….” Shrugs shoulders. I planned this trip five months ago. I highly recommend that the owners look at their front of house training."

"The food is incredible! I had been to Turkey before, and I can confidently say that this is the best I’ve ever had! The meat is well-marinated, incredibly tender, and juicy. "I ordered takeaway here for the 1st time was “stupidly” unaware of what the various sauces were called. The man serving was not helpful arrogantly questioned what language I was speaking as I didn’t know the correct sauce names (I am English btw! . I said my partner was French but I was clearly English and speaking it so didn’t understand why he asked that! As we waited for the food outside, he thought I was out of earshot and shouted “learn to speak English”. I went back to challenge him on this disgusting comment and he seemed surprised I had heard and then tried to blag he was making a joke! He was NOT! Just because I’m not upto speed on the official names of his precious sauces, it does not make it acceptable to be so rudely insulted or at least make sure they definitely can’t hear you! Safe to say we won’t be going back. Oh and the food was ****!"

"The bartender was rude and disrespectful, making unprofessional faces and complicating a simple request. Her behavior was intentionally discourteous and unpleasant. This is the first time I’ve felt compelled to write a negative review, and I have the support of two teachers and a former police officer. The pub itself is lovely with a great atmosphere, thanks to its small size, wonderful music, and friendly customers. However, my experience, along with similar feedback from others, suggests that this bartender should consider a different career, as she clearly lacks an understanding of customer service and poses a risk to the establishment's success."

"Overall was fantastic , although we had amended seating options in advance we were given a table for instead of so had to all squeeze on and the outside were booked from but nothing was available for another mins so we had to wait about bored and table service was slow. "Please can someone tell me how this pub can justify charging me 72 pounds for 2 bottles of House Prosecco? I bought a round of drinks for my friends and the bottles arrived already opened when i was told the amount at the bar when i came to pay. I was stunned. My wife told me to pay to avoid a scene and embarrassment with our party and i decided to complain later. I phoned the pub the following day and gave my email with phone number and was told that a member of Fuller,Smith and Turner Customer Services would get in touch. They never did. Disgraceful way to treat a customer and i feel thoroughly ripped off. On the Saturday i decided to ' 'average down my buy price ' ' and bought 2 similar quality bottles from Lidl for just £5.49 each!!!"

"Walking past the other morning and saw a que of people out the door and decided to see what the fuss was about so joined the que which staff moved along quickly along with clearing the tables and bring food from the kitchen. Seems to have alot of regular customers as staff knew alot of the orders before they spoke. Staff even managed a quick chat with some of the customers along the way. I had the house granola which had won a couple of awards and I can seen why when tasting it. My flat white was made by a young black haired man who defo worked out and as busy as it was had a design on the top of the coffee. Place was clean and vibrant and will I visit again when next in belfast."

"We had the set menu (but not the wine pairing and it was all excellent. Particularly liked the salmon with chorizo and beans. Wine list was pretty good too and we had a very nice Primitivo at a reasonable price (for London in a good restaurant! . You dine next to the bar which looks great and was fairly lively. Some live music was a nice background as we weren't too close to it. A particular thanks to all the serving staff who were friendly, attentive and very efficient."
