"Visited City Social for a Saturday night dinner and was very impressed by the food, service and location. We went for the shared cote de boeuf for our main and it was fantastic beautifully charred outside and a tender, pink interior. Our crab starter was also great and the tonka bean souffle for dessert was tremendous. The venue itself is great, particularly sitting by the windows in the cocktail bar area and admiring the fantastic views. Would love to come here again and try some of the other menu items and hopefully will get the chance to do so."

"The pre-theater set menu at this restaurant was very good, but unfortunately, our friend arrived at 6:32 and was told it was no longer available. Instead, he had to order a la carte, which resulted in him only getting a soup before going elsewhere for a sandwich. It would have been more profitable for the restaurant to offer the set menu. This was not a good customer experience and hopefully they will improve in the future."

"We had dinner at Pont De La Tour recently. It is our favorite upscale restaurant in London. If we visit London and can fit in only one restaurant, this is the one. This is an elegant restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking Tower Bridge....They usually have two,and three course set menus with a glass of wine at a reasonable price. This is a linen tablecloth restaurant with excellent service. The food is incredibly artistic and elegant. They have an extensive wine list, yet they have an excellent house wine, not on the list that is reasonably priced. It’s what we always order, especially if we are with another couple and multiple bottles will be consumed. There is a negative. The location is great, when you consider the view. The location is difficult if you need to get a taxi back on a busy evening. We asked the restaurant to call us one. The wait would have been about 45 minutes. Getting back to central ,London was a real challenge."

"Entree beef tar was very garlic forward so that meat quality could not be tasted well; Side broth discs were not warm or roasted, but cold, which did not add texture contrast. The steak was excessively smoky until it had a burned BBQ feeling. Dessert was somewhat depressing cold and didn't stand up completely. Cocktails were decent. Table service and view were however absolutely excellent! Thank you. Khaleed to serve us. I hope your throat is better now."

"yesterday after a visit to avoncroft with the family. had no idea what was like, but so glad we landed at ewe and lamb. friendly, polite and friendly staff. it wasn't so busy that it was good! really clean. there were five of us. we ordered to eat that lasted about half an hour (what is what we expected for what we had). many choices on the menu and everyone enjoyed what we had. we were only on the way after a day, but even though it is an hour away by car, we are happy to make the trip again. "Took going to the front desk twice to get the tv fixed in the room. Initially they sent in housekeeping to try to fix it, then a gentleman around the front desk came in and reset the channels. Waited roughly 4-5 hours. Beds are a little hard, but I am used to memory foam, so may be good for people used to a conventional mattress. Shower is amazingly hot and perfect with a shower head that actually has pressure. Breakfast is great, lots of choices, and very good orange juice. Overall, perfect location for us and easy to get to from London via coach. Rooms: Little small, but efficient for needs. Walkability: Easy to get to from coach, restaurant/pub nearby, and convenient mart in walking distance. Food drinks: Room service available, breakfast with juices and coffee."

"The Brasserie is a lovely decorated restaurant that played smooth jazz throughout our visit. As a birthday meal out, we were excited to try somewhere new in town. The first waiter was prompt at taking our drinks order, but barely apologised at the lack of gas (so no draught ales) and didn 't know too much about the bottled beers. Two couples order the charcuterie boards. The ciabatta bread was toasted and sharp, so it didn 't make for a pleasant bite. It snapped rather than crunched... And the rocket wasn 't dressed, so we were eating dry leaves. After this, the second waiter came to apologise that there wasn 't any creamy polenta to accompany the main, wild mushroom ragu, so he offered mashed potato or rice. When this meal turned up, there wasn 't any of the vegan cheese or rocket, which was also supposed to accompany the meal. What a waste of money, knowing that vegan cheese can be fairly costly. Nobody came to ask the party if the food was alright. We weren 't seen to for a good 30 minutes, despite being the only people in the restaurant. As well as the ragu, the steak dishes were underwhelming as well, even these salads weren 't dressed. Dry leaves make for a sad meal. We are sorely disappointed as we were really looking forward to the food here. The waiting staff were pleasant but didn 't have the experience or training that they really needed. A memorable moment: What 's the cheesecake of the day? Oh, it 's JUST the new york cheesecake. Just vanilla. Don 't undersell your food! Just vanilla is still great!"

"Great food but let down by atrocious service! Visited last night with friends, had been looking forward to this as the menu looked great and the venue looks interesting. On arrival the bar was not busy by any standard and we were met by a sole member of staff who showed us to a table. It immediately became clear that this gentleman was out of his depth both as a bartender and as a server. It took 10 minutes to take a drinks order and even longer to for the 3 drinks to arrive (Guinness, water and a coke). When taking the food order it was clear he was not familiar with the menu, it’s items or the specials. The “beer and burger” deal cards were not out and were not mentioned at all during the service. The food was eventually ordered but the open plan of the of the restaurant meant that we could see the order being prepared and then placed on the hot plate only to sit there for another 10 minutes while he struggled with another tables service. Once the food arrived though it was worth the wait. The burgers were large, juicy and full of toppings, fries were generous in portion size and crispy. I ordered a side of hot wings which were served in a wetter style but still very tasty. Overall we would go back for the food but management really needs to sort out the bar and table service! If the place were any busier it would have been a nightmare."

"In conclusion, the food was enjoyable, but not quite what we expected from a gastropub. The dishes were made with high-quality, hearty ingredients that were well-prepared. The focus seemed to be more on presentation and unique ingredient combinations rather than traditional gastropub fare. The decor left something to be desired, although I did see photos of the second stage which had a more innovative design. The service was good, but could have benefitted from more knowledge and genuine care. Overall, I would give Sex Drug and Bacon Rolls a decent score."

"came here for my sister's 40th birthday parties to taste the intless brunch! beautiful restaurant, loved the hauch that the pianist play as they eat. the set menu was simple, but with some excellent choices. I had to start the smoked laughs and burger for the most general portions for both! the burger was cooked to perfection. the drinks were really groundless! we had a lot of prosecco. I also had a fab **** mary, and the heavenly bells were beautiful. the personal was fantastic! our waiter was attentive and certain that all 13 of us were well looked after. "While the food was good the service was a mess. I felt so sorry for the poor girl serving us who was alone handling all the restaurant patrons. From my table I stared straight at piled up dirty plates. All wines requested from the Wine List were not available. None of the Stickies on the Menu were available. I had really wanted to love this Pub but it was so disappointing. A lady at the next table had her chair collapse under her and she fell to the floor. The service team did nothing until I suggested they give the lady a new chair. The girls serving were so poorly dressed and frazzled it made me feel like they needed real support and training, I have never written a bad review before but tonight was so disappointing."

"It’s so nice here. Second floor of the Design Museum. Light and airy feel with lovely views of Holland Park. Charming welcome. Very friendly and chatty maître d’hôtel who clearly has it all under control. We felt very well taken care of. The menu is reasonably priced. If you are a member then there’s 20% off which makes it even better value. We were going to the Stanley Kubrick exhibition and decided to have lunch. I’d been before and knew the sharing mezze plater cooked meats was great so shared it with my son. We loved it. It’s very generous and delicious with hummus, baba ganoush, avocado, falafel, halloumi, olives etc etc The chicken escalope was pronounced excellent too. Treacle tart with almond cream delicious and coffee very good too. Can’t fault it. We’ll be back."

"Really not happy with false advertising. Sample menu states meat veg pots, however once ordered on the Thursday night offer. Only bottomless drinks whilst eating once you finished you main course it finishes or you must buy pudding. First place I've been to that the main meal is only steak at an extra £3 which was not advertised in advance) and then pay £4 for small bowl of veg and £3 for chips. So the £22 two course meal is only ok if you do not want anything else with your meat. A meal for a £22 offer with 2 people having a pudding came to £114.40 Staff not helpful about the extra costs and trading standards have been informed. Service was slow two starters came out and not the their then when it did the main meals arrived so the third person left half their soup or their main meal would be cold. Sadly the food was very nice. Too many people cramped into a small room and too noisy to talk over the other groups of people I would NOT RETURN"
