"Been here for breakfast many times but never for dinner before. Atmosphere was as expected, the place has a shabby elegance of bygone days. We were very lucky and sat on a table in the window with wonderful views of the lead and the sea. There were a number of vegetarian choices that weren’t the usual pasta or risotto. Some thought had been put in to them. I would say that a few “tweaks” were needed with my choice of halloumi/chips/onion rings, mainly being a longer cooking time for the chips and halloumi. Partners steak was good evidently. Service was very good. Overall a pleasant evening that is good value. We would return!"

We had a wonderful Christmas lunch at this restaurant with great service and a pianist playing festive music that really enhanced the experience. I highly recommend it.

we love the quirky, faded elegance of the grand and find it a reliable sanctuary for afternoon and light meals. the living pianist in the palm court is particularly pleasant. it can go on long! View menu

Old school charm in a perfect setting overlooking the English Channel. An interesting menu to suit all tastes and the food served piping hot to the table. Well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.

We are fond of the quirky, faded elegance of the Grand and find it a reliable sanctuary for afternoon tea and light meals. The live pianist in the Palm Court is particularly pleasant. Long may it continue

The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the live pianist was fantastic. However, the restaurant was too quiet. They may need to consider a better marketing strategy to attract more customers and create a livelier atmosphere. View menu

The restaurant has a beautiful location with a breathtaking view of the sea. The menu is varied and exquisite, with high-quality dishes offered at a very reasonable price. The service is friendly and the gentle piano music adds to the elegant atmosphere. Highly recommended for a lovely ambiance and delicious food.

I booked for 1 hour for Sunday dinner and asked for a window table. When we arrived, we were told that there was no booking for us. when I protested, they found my booking under afternoon tee . that was not a good start, but it was better. the personal put a table on the window and looked at us well. the carvery was good hard meat, but good choice of sweet. drinks were very reasonable and the overall bill was less than expected. the hotel has a beautiful old world charm and in a perfect location for a walk after lunch. we enjoyed our day very much.

"When we talk to people about where we live and places to eat, we are proud to always mention Sotirios as one of Folkestone’s treasures. Sotirios thoroughly deserves its reputation as one of the highest rated places to eat in Kent. We have loved going to Sotirios for several years now and will continue to do so for years to come. We tend to go for special occasions such as birthdays, valentines, and romantic date nights. If you mention when booking what the occasion is, they always do something to make your visit extra special. The food is delicious especially the main courses such as the Lamb Shank, the Vegetable Moussaka, and the Halibut. We always recommend Sotirios to people who are looking for fantastic food of a Greek, Mediterranean and British fusion cuisine. The setting itself is a perfect ambience for what we look for in a nice restaurant. It’s well lit but still dim enough to be a relaxing and warm space. Very nicely decorated and laid out, and always very clean. On top, for us, is the service. Sotirios is a family run restaurant and you absolutely get that vibe in the best of ways from the moment you walk in. It’s co owned by a father and two of his sons, who all work there and play various roles in combination with the rest of the team. You’re usually greeted by Lucas or Alex sons of the founder, Costas. If you’re not, you will definitely meet them during your visit as they clearly make a point to greet and check in on everybody. Costas also joins the front of house team and waits tables which, for me, completes the family run vibe. I am sure Costas is very proud of his team and what they have accomplished, and they fully deserve all of the praise and recognition they get. Parking: Facing the restaurant, to the right hand side is a small car park with a handful of spaces. Note that you should not park there before 6pm as I think it is shared with local residents. If you are not lucky enough to get a spot, try Manor Road we’ve never failed to find parking there."
