"This Indian restaurant is fantastic, with delicious food at reasonable prices. It's my go-to spot and is often not too crowded, as they mainly make their money on."

"wow, what a great Indian restaurant. after house darlington is en route so called to come in the city for a curry, this place had appeared on google maps. from the moment we arrived, we were treated with ease and respect. the lady who served us was so friendly and polite. our eating was amazing, I even had a curry that had been taken from the menu, they were happy to make it for me. service second to none. very favorable too. we would literally come from lincoln to come here. recommend to the bottom."

"I have been coming to Shahins Indian Cuisine for the past 3 years and come annually and sometimes within the year. We make the effort to come even living 25 miles from the restaurant. They'e all welcoming, friendly and go above and beyond at serving you and making sure you have everything you need. The environment is calm and not rushed to get you out. The food comes quickly after ordering and to perfection."

"Looked online at the menu and this place seemed like a jack of all trades. Doner kebabs to korma 's, pizzas to Peshawar naan........I ordered from there as its a stones throw away from my mums. Thought what the hell and ordered. Phoned them and asked how long it would be, told 20 mins. Went to collect food and guy couldn 't see order. Spoke to his pal and then found a note pad with my order. 7 minutes later the food arrives for me. My naan bread was more like a garlic pizza bread which was crispier than a deep fried won ton. My mum said her chips were hard, more hard than a slab of concrete. Overall, very disappointed in the quality."

"we were there to help us before our silvester. we were people and it has worked out from the service and the reservation overall well the service was very nice, but also a little bit stressed, which is certainly normal at an almost booked restaurant around silvester. it was occasionally forgotten a drink, but it came very fast when you said something it wasn't bad any more. the food was really good then, I was totally excited. I have said that it should not be sharp, and that it was also so nevertheless not faded, but really excellently marked. I liked it very well, my friends too. the price/performance ratio is great, it was really cheap. will definitely go back"

"Ashoka South Side was a disappointment. I booked a table for Christmas Day with the promise of a glass of fizz on arrival, only to be offered a mocktail instead. It wasn't until I questioned this and showed my own copy of the menu that the promised fizz was granted. Two weeks before Christmas, we were asked to pay in full for our meal, but I was asked to pay in cash even though I preferred to use my card. On Christmas Day, despite enjoying the food, the restaurant had overbooked and took my dad's seat away, leaving us cramped on a couch against the wall. The food at Ashoka is nice, but usually lukewarm. I had to ask for my chicken to be reheated on Christmas Day. We received a voucher for £10 off our next meal, but when we tried to use it in January, the staff member was confused about the terms and conditions. The voucher stated a minimum of 2 people, but the staff member insisted it was for a maximum of 2 people. The staff member also failed to mention that the voucher couldn't be used with the pre-theatre menu until we tried to pay. When I asked to see the terms and conditions on the voucher, none were provided. Our bill came to £87, so with the voucher it would have been £77, but the staff member refused to honor it. As someone with a background in International Business Law, I know that failing to clearly state the terms and conditions of a voucher is breaking the law. The staff member's insistence on not providing the discount has led me to decide not to return to Ashoka. The food is good, but not exceptional, and I would rather dine at a place that values customer loyalty. It's a shame, as Ashoka is a local restaurant with potential, but the lack of transparency and customer care has left a sour taste in my mouth."

"The restaurant is simple in decor, but the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. I enjoyed the samosas and vegetable bhaji as my favorite appetizers, along with plain naan and chicken curry. The highlight was the affordable prices and the option to pay with a card, giving us great value for our money."

"Recently visited with a couple of colleagues whilst in Birmingham for work. We just walked by, went in and were seated quickly. Service and food were excellent and very reasonably priced. All 3 of us picked the Thawa Chicken Tikka with various side dishes, dessert and drinks, all of which were lovely we will definitely be back nest time we are in town."

"the service became somewhat slow as soon as the space is filled. the noise was acceptable, but not ideal. the restaurant is clean, but there is not much ambiente or space. I didn't try her very spicy curries for which they are famous. their idea of mild is still quite sharp for the European taste if they are not used to it, and they had no letise to wash it by pretending that they went out, although we came to dinner too early. but the rita, the lemon rice, the brote were excellent."

"My wife and I visited this restaurant on Monday AFTERNOON 11th April 2022. Note the word in capitals…AFTERNOON. There is a lunchtime deal on from 12:30 until 2:30pm. We had it and it was seriously good value. 2 people, 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 Large beers all for less than €45. Bargain! The food was piping hot, tasty and appeared to be authentic. We are not big eaters so the small mains didn’t bother us at all. Given that this place is slap bang in the Centre (30 seconds from Temple Bar) this price is stunning. Would be visit again? 100% yes at lunchtime. I note though that outside of the lunchtime deal prices are similar to other restaurants in the area. One tiny niggle…We ordered 2 Large Authentic Nepalese Beers named Kathmandu… beers were Ice Cold tasty. Mmmm Nepalese beer is good!!! but… Turn bottle round… label says…Brewed bottled in EU. Obviously no fault of the restaurants but you’d be equally served having a Carlsberg which is brewed within a few miles… probably in the same building as Authentic Kathmandu beer!"

"If you like Sugar and salt this is the place for you. Tried a few dishes, all cream sauces taste the same and loaded with sugar. Pakora loaded with salt. Shame this place has declined, their curry sauce used to be the best years ago under the hotel, now everything is loaded with sugar and salt. Hope this place gets its self back to the good old days. Also they own the carry out at Hardgate cross besotted McHughs Estate agents, there are much better places like Rajani in Bearsden who deliver and don’t do re-heats even with the starters. They also don’t use colouring and their prawns are much larger. Hope the Bombay sort themselves out and get back to the good old days and cut back on colouring and additive’s and sugar salt. Fresh and no more reheats will get you back to the best in Clydebank. Please do it !!"

"I suddenly fancied going out to eat dinner after a lazy day. I haven't eaten at Shilma Pinks before despite it being a local for many years. The staff were excellent and the food could not be faulted. Definitely a place I will be going back to. It doesn't serve alcohol (but there is a shop a few doors down that does). It was very frustrating to over order such great food and not be able to finish it all. It was also a shame not to see it busier on a Saturday evening as it deserves local custom."
