"I have ordered takeaway from here twice so far and both times I have been very happy with the meat and vegetarians dishes. They have also been very accommodating by providing a variant of a menu dish for a vegetarian. Prices are great for the quality and flavour. From what I have seen the locals come often and are greeted by staff as they enter. A great place if you are looking for a tasty curry."

"If you like Sugar and salt this is the place for you. Tried a few dishes, all cream sauces taste the same and loaded with sugar. Pakora loaded with salt. Shame this place has declined, their curry sauce used to be the best years ago under the hotel, now everything is loaded with sugar and salt. Hope this place gets its self back to the good old days. Also they own the carry out at Hardgate cross besotted McHughs Estate agents, there are much better places like Rajani in Bearsden who deliver and don’t do re-heats even with the starters. They also don’t use colouring and their prawns are much larger. Hope the Bombay sort themselves out and get back to the good old days and cut back on colouring and additive’s and sugar salt. Fresh and no more reheats will get you back to the best in Clydebank. Please do it !!"

"Ordered a take away VERY disappointed! Mixed starter £10.95 with an onion bhajia ;size of tennis ball must have been fried baked etc many times as hard as a rock). 3 small cubes of chicken a discoloured kebab plus a tiny lifeless samosa!!! My lamb jalfrezi £11.95 was full of onions (not adequately cooked) with about 6 8 pieces of meat just tasted of fiery chilli no layering of flavours. The Gurkhali chicken £12.95 was very red in colour, not tasty at all not as spicy as expected. Lamb biryani £13.95 was the most palatable dish but the curry sauce was watery, tasteless horrible. Sadly this was the most disappointing Indian meal we have had in ages. Sadly we were hungry, it was very wet the staff were not too articulate so we didn’t take it any further. Sadly there are far too many other better options we won’t be returning or recommending Kathmandu. It was quite costly a massive disappointment. Wish I had taken photos but I was too shocked !"

"We have visited this restaurant before and have consistently enjoyed the excellent quality and taste of the food. They offer a wide selection of vegetarian dishes as well as authentic Nepali cuisine, which sets them apart from the usual Indian fare. The momos are a standout dish and the Nepali curry dishes are also highly recommended for those seeking something different. It is a popular spot, so I suggest making a reservation to ensure you secure a table."

"The food was excellent, but the service was lacking. I was fairly worried since the restaurant was empty when I came in, but I just came from Paris where"

"Living in France (for the time being) I crave authentic Indian food which is plentiful and varied in London where I have lived for 54 years. My son being at Glasgow University provides me with the excuse to travel North regularly and enjoy the huge diversity of restaurants that Glasgow offers. The Wee Curry Shop is simply sublime. The cooking is precise, the menu concise and the spicing as it should be! Small joint, only maybe thirty seats at a push which enables the very small kitchen to deliver great results. Halibut grilled with subtle spices and flavours was outstanding, the lamb with Fenugreek leaves was like nothing I had before and their butter chicken is just sooo yummy, one would have to eat it keeling down in reverence. In short, not one duff dish on the menu and more than fair bill. This place is packed and very much for the connoisseur. Highly recommended."

"This place is unique, I haven't seen the same combination of churros a and ice-cream anywhere else, so I think you should give it a go! I had the loop&scoop option. The service took a bit too long, I think the kitchen was understaffed. The churro was very tasty, I didn't like the biscoff ice-cream much, but the nero one (really dark chocolate) was just perfect. I wish I could try their vegan milkshake as well. They had 6 flavours if vegan ice-cream when I visited."

"As always we found the food at this restaurant to be both excellent and extremely good value. We started with a Chicken Chat and Prawn Puri, both generous portions in well flavoured sauces. Mains included a deliciously tangy Hari-Ali chicken (a new one for me but one I'm sure I'll have again); mild, but not over-sweet Lamb Passanda and sides of Motar Panir and Garlic Naan. This may not sound like a large meal but between two of us we only just about managed to finish it. All the dishes were rich, but distinctively spiced and flavoured."

"We were greeted with papadoms and a variety of sauces including chutney, mango, pickled achaar. The large mix grill had a variety of meat with kebab, chicken, wings and lamb chops which were tasty. Tried the lamb karahi, chicken karahi and ghoust saag. All curries were flavourful with a decent amount of spice, which I enjoyed as it was a good level of spice for me personally. If you are a fan of spicy spicy food, this probably won’t hit the spot. Best naans I have ever had! Recommend opting for these. They are amazingly soft. I loved the mango lassi, sweetness to compliment my meal. Chips were over fried. Beautiful interior, clean toilets and good customer service."

"Another excellent trip to Anokha. It's still the best looking restaurant around and feels like a special occasion every visit. Food was again very good, as was the service. We had the usual, all of which we'd highly recommend duck tikka and sheek kebab starters; salmon tikka and lamb sag mains...."

"This was one of the best falafel sandwiches I've had in Scotland. The falafel itself was delicious, the pickles had the perfect tanginess, and both the sesame sauce and the green hot chili sauce were flavorful. Three of their falafel sandwiches are marked as vegan. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the prices are very reasonable, especially with their special offers. While waiting for the falafel, they play one of the most memorable promotional videos I've ever seen—it features a slow-motion sequence of sauce drizzling that’s certainly attention-grabbing!"

"Avoid this restaurant at all costs. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I met up with some friends at this establishment and found ample parking in the back, which was a plus. We entered through the front and were greeted by a waiter who asked us to wait in the seating area. Despite many empty tables, we were seated right away. Instead of a menu, we were given a small QR code to scan to place our order. We ordered a tawa mix and some Coca-Colas. While the food looked good, the chicken wings and chicken tikka were overly colored and bland. The fries were tasty, but the curries were just okay. We asked to pack the leftovers and were given recycled containers and a carrier bag to do it ourselves. When we asked the waiter for a recommendation on Indian tea, he surprisingly said our tastes could be different. The tea was decent, but we waited over 30 minutes for the bill and eventually had to pay at the bar area ourselves. The service was poor, and it was clear there was a lack of management. After leaving, both myself and a friend experienced stomach problems. Overall, I would give this place zero stars if possible and would not return."

"We absolutely adore this restaurant. We have visited for pre-theatre meals, ordered takeout (tonight), and even enjoyed just pakora when they had live music during events like Hangerfest and Gala Day. The food, service, and prices have always been exceptional. The service is super friendly and our meal on a Saturday evening was served quickly. The food was excellent, especially the special dish of the day. The portions were generous and reasonably priced. The atmosphere in the lovely building is fantastic, a huge improvement from the old Cabin tearooms. Definitely worth a visit, and we will be returning. "This place would not be for everyone but to me has to be one of Birmingham's best kept secrets. The outside of this place is a traditional boozer but as soon as you walk in you are hot with the smell of amazing Indian cooking! We were shown to our table and had our drink orders taken quickly....but don't be expecting restaurant table service this was a full on lean behind and order across the bar near where we were sat. Possibly one of the most relaxed services I have ever seen but the staff could not have done more for us. We ordered a large mixed grill to share and some masala seasoned fries....no I am not joking the food was insanely good. The platter was packed full of chicken, fish and lamb and everything was perfectly cooked and spiced. We had two cokes each while eating and the bill only came to 25! Amazing value and my friend said it was as good as the good she had while visiting India....I have not been but judging from the quality meal we had I want to go ASAP. Now I need to re-illiterate an earlier point this place is not a restaurant....it's a pub serving amazing food that is very much a traditional Brum Boozer. While we were in the place we watched the footy, chatted to some guys crowded round the bar and listened to some people singing football chants (it was some sort of football final) To me this adds to the charm but I know it wouldn't be for everyone. My advice....go here....eat all the meat...."

"lynne. I've been feeding my friends in the chest-sandori because we know the owner personally. eating and eating are always on the place, but since their refit the customer service is not satisfactory. I have been with my friends for the first time since the refit and was horrified at the answer we got when we asked for coffee. the machine was obviously broken. then we asked for another bottle of wine, and it soon became clear that they wanted us to move from the table and dink the bottle in the other room. the owner was called, but he seemed uninterested. he said we could have a free bottle of wine, but the waiter insisted we paid for it. after a certain place where the...more"
