"I used to use the take away service but enough was enough..3 times in a row I would order a takeaway for 8.00 pm and would turn up at 4pm..always being told oh we r busy..and 3 out the 4 times I wasn't even home from work. "Had an incredible experience, the place has completely changed under the new management since last year. We happened to go in by chance and were really surprised by the great service. The team was very pleasant and brought ice cream for the little one. They were attentive and the taste was very delicious. We ordered the Tawa for two and thinking it may have a small portion ordered one dish extra too but the tawa was quite large."

"Love the new management and the new look to the lounge area of this Resturant. We were a group of 5 visiting and decided to visit the only Indian Resturant in the village. On first impression, warm and inviting. We were seated straight away. We started with popadoms, nice and fresh. We had a started dish, chicken pakora, king prawn Puri. Lolly pop chicken. All dishes with their own unique flavours. We then ordered, mix grill platter, fish masala and a veg Dosa. Have to say the Dosa was something different for us but non the less, full of fresh ingredients and flavours. The mix grill was as expected with nice selection of meat and a nicely layer of onions complimenting the grilled meat flavours. The fish masala was excellent in deep spices but subtle hint of heat. We also had peshwari naan, this really was nice and sweet. Our overall impression was warm, Well-coming and defo to return for an Indian food full of flavours. Sorry forks, but I don’t think I’ve used the word “flavour” enough. Not been to a nice Indian Resturant for a while and this Resturant has definitely lift the bar in this sector. Thanks everyone at this new Restuant and thanks Bill for your service tonight. Hope to see you soon when I am back in town for a visit."

"Visited here Friday night for a hen weekend. We chose here as the menu had a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options. Unfortunately it was a huge dissapointment. Not only was the server rude and seemingly didn’t know what she was doing. We had hair or the naan breads. We didn’t even get a sorry until we actually asked for an apology. The only thing we got in return was the one naan taken off our bill. So for us, we paid a fortune for our meal that was inedible due to poor hygeine in the kitchen and the staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing."

"(Delivery) Considering the high rating on Tripadvisor and the reviews of the place we were ready to give Kali Mirchi a go. After quotes of Best Indian and So much flavour being thrown around, we were anticipating a much needed curry. After placing the order and being told it would be 40 minutes, we waited an hour before we called to be told it had just left and would be with us any minute. It came to £19.20 so I gave the driver £20 and was told he had no change! Biting my lip to the sofa we dug in to our starters. The Onion Bhajis were more gram flour than onion and for such a cheap dish to make was surprising. I could taste the old oil which isn 't always a bad thing if it wasn 't for there being too much flour to soak it up. Oily onion bhajis seen to, mains were a go. I love my naan bread and wasn 't all that impressed with the one I had infront of me, the bright red keema filling had all dropped to one side and it was very thin. The pilau rice was nice though, I think they had added a touch of saffron. The Chicken Tikka Masala was average at best and tasted alot like cheese. Not how I would expect, it was also luke warm but did have good chunks of chicken. The lamb jalfrezi was overly spiced and had more than enough green chillies but abit too much oil. Unfortunalty we didnt feel Kali Mirchi had lived up to its reputation and I am a firm believer that food should be a similar standard when delivered, if this is the standard in restaurant then I would be very disappointed to have made the journey. Summary Nothing special, average experience for a takeaway, good portions of meat, but bad balance of spice and flavour. Check your change and order well in advance!"

"It would have been stars across the board but for the noise level from a party of that arrived whilst we were tucking into our main course. No fault of the restaurant as business is business and recovering from the pandemic, the management and team at Sai has worked extremely hard to service the clientele…it was just the fact we needed to shout at each other to hear ourselves that knocked a star off for me. "Our order arrived at stated time..well it didn't take long to eat as we loved every dish. Each dish was generous in portion arrived piping hot. All meat was tender plentiful my vegetarian dish was amazingly tasty. I've written this straight after washing up as I was that impressed. "This is a very nice restaurant. No frills and no sumptuous decor, it’s a straightforward small eatery. Very clean. Food was exceptionally good for quality of ingredients. I had Rogan Josh which was excellent. It appears to be a small family run establishment, not verified, and the staff are very helpful. "We were greeted by a mild member of staff and shown our table, noticing the restaurant had an aging, worn, tired feel to it, regardless of the Valentine decorations. The service felt a bit disorderly, although the staff were pleasant and very helpful. The starters were lovely, very tasty, however the mains and sides were less impressive, as was the chutney choice that went with pappadums. Unfortunately and sadly, with the amount of good/excellent eatery choices in Liverpool, I would not recommend or return to Mayur, unless they modernised their menu, ambience and quality of food for the price you pay."
