"Food is pretty good from here...if you can ever get them to accept your order. Out of the last 20 occasions I've tried ordering from this place, my order has been accepted 3 or 4 times. They either decline your order without any explanation or suddenly go offline shortly after you put your order in (leaving you however much out of pocket while you wait for the money to be returned to your account). Must be nice to be only open 4 hours a day and still turn away business."

"Visited Wimpy, after years of not having one.. So travelled to Barnstaple just to have one.. A lovely clean, friendly, attentive restaurant. Everything came out quickly, and was hot. Really enjoyed our experience. Looking forward to visiting again."

"First off.... Book a table. Its really the only way you can know you'll get seated, as this place is BUSY, and after the meal we've just had I can understand why. We were seated on time and enjoyed one of the best meals we've had in the past few months. Will definitely be back next year. Its the kind of place you wish was on your doorstep!"

"Popped in for just a coffee and ended up having the full cooked breakfast with the best mug of tea EVER. Just how I asked for it. The cooked breakfast was smashing and I'm now very full up. Hubby had the healthier option of porage, orange juice with toast and marmalade. It's a cafe/bar/small venue and shop all in one, really quirky and will most definitely come again. Highly recommend this wee place to anyone visiting Cardigan. It's right down the bottom by the river and on the Right."

"today until brunch. my first visit, but others in our group were already before. the pancakes with speck and maple syrup ordered. nice environment and friendly staff, but I'm sorry to disappoint eating. pfannkuchen came with banane instead of spek, but that was fast fixed. ordinary order was a good part with eating well cooked, but absolutely swimming in maple syrup make it really soggy. it would have been perfect if maple syrup in a small pot on the side of the plate that will be added after need. others is group enjoyed their various brunch options and coffee was obviously good."

"Myself and my partner have visited papas twice in the last week. I would say this is by far, the best place for breakfast in the area. Our first experience was good. Although girl serving us seemed inexperienced (possibly New) she was polite and well...presented and food was really nice. Around 4 days later we decided revisit. Second experience was exceptional. The girl serving, was attentive to our every need. The food again was lovely. Will certainly return soon."

"I accidentally tore my jeans on a broken planter outside the café, and the woman working inside was extremely rude. However, the lady in the shop was very nice. I finally received an email apologizing for the incident, but they claimed they were not sure how it happened. There was a piece of metal sticking out at hip height which caused a 3-inch rip in my jeans. When I asked if I could be reimbursed for a new pair of jeans, my request was completely ignored. A simple apology would have been sufficient. I found this lack of customer service incredibly rude. As a result, I have decided to take my business elsewhere and will not be returning to the café or shop, and I will not be recommending them to others. It's important to be kind in all interactions."

"Over the years have had many family events of 25+ people. Price has gone up by a huge amount while the quality of food has dropped significantly. Price now £17 for adults and £10 kids. Fried fish is soft like farmed/River fish unlike flaky sea first. Nihari not like before. Sikh kebab were initially cold and dry. Very limited deserts including no gulab jamun. To make matters worse only had one flavour of ice cream. Customer service is apalling as have to keep asking for ice and they begrudgingly bring a little bit each time. Very uninterested and reluctant! No smiles! Lady organising tables asked us not to wait in the waiting area and instead bring everyone in despite food not being fully ready! Gave some flimsy excuse that people might think it's a wedding and not come in. Unruly children shouting aggressively but not managed by parents nor staff. Lighting has many bulbs not working or with temperamental flickering. As a result of the above negative experiences despite being repeat customers we have decided to go elsewhere in future. Best wishes!"

"A cute little cafe overlooking the harbor and a short walk from the main street. Obviously popular with the locals and we were fortunate to get a table since we did not book. Nice food at a reasonable price and very friendly and happy staff. The dessert bars were amazing and lots to choose from. We enjoyed a harbor walk after our lunch. A pleasant lunch and lovely little excursion to Tayport."

"I always visit this establishment when I’m in the area and it never lets me down. The pies are bang on. The breakfast baguettes are bang on. The cakes are bang on. The staff are bang on. Honestly you won’t find a better traditional bakery anywhere and it’s great value for money. It’s bang on like."

"For a brunch spot, it can be challenging to find a decent coffee to kickstart the day, as many local eateries in Seahouses do not offer milk alternatives. However, this particular establishment has really friendly staff, follows safe precautions, and provides baby changing facilities. We sat at a small table for two and ordered a flat white with milk, a breakfast tea with milk, two vegan wraps, and a vegan Oreo brownie. The coffee was quite sweet, so we had to order another one. The wraps were tasty and so was the brownie, but these were the only vegan options available, which made us feel limited in our choices. We would consider visiting again and recommend it if they can find a place in Bamburgh that offers better coffee options."

"The food at this restaurant is incredible, especially the paninis which are absolutely delicious. The service is efficient and perfect for take out. This spot is ideal for a lunch time meal, with prices ranging from £10 to £20 per person."

"We walked past as our daughter pointed out they make bubble tea, whilst ordering the bubble tea we decided to eat in, having previously gone to a mama lan in Brixton, although we had waited a long time there we didn’t get to try the food, so it has been a long time coming to taste what the menu has to offer, we ordered sriracha noodles, sweet chilli chicken rice and I decide to order the chilli prawn rice, the more expensive item on the menu, the first two came and when my pram chilli rice came there was a lot of rice a few bits of broccoli and 4 small prawns, looking at my daughters sweet chilli chicken rice I had expected as the price was more for my prawn dish to be some what similar in offering If not bigger, the irony is that the menu states this is a family run business that they would have a children’s option on the menu, they didn’t so we ordered her the chicken rice and this happened to be bigger than both of our meals despite outlets being more expensive on the menu, I politely spoke to the man seating at the back of the restaurant, supposedly the manager, said straight away yes you have 5 prawns, maybe I had to look through the amass of rice to locate the last one, he gave me a fake smile and no sincerity, walked away, I picked up a menu from a vacant table and the second I picked it up he got from the back of the restaurant to replace it, it all seemed very passive aggressive, so I still have not sampled the menu. But what I can say through visiting this franchise is that their service is very lacking. The family said the food was okay so have given it an extra star for this so 2 stars all in all"

"Really impressed with the food really tasty and big portions , but the service was really poor. Not a single smile from the lady serving us the whole time we were there. We had a pram with us and so asked if it would be better if we sat in the back corner table we were trying to be helpful and make sure the pram didn 't get in the way of staff/other customers in the middle of the cafe and she looked furious and said 'well you 'll have to wait for me to clean it then '. I politely explained to her we were trying to be helpful and she just scowled. After she left my toddler nervously told me 'Mummy that lady isn 't very nice... ' When my partner went to order we weren 't sure if it was table service she snapped at him that he needed to go back to the table and wait. If we hadn 't all been starving we 'd have left then! Hoping it was a one off as the other staff seemed lovely and the food was delicious. But it really spoiled our experience: not sure if we 'll come back..."

"Homemade, cooked baked to PERFECTION! Beautiful and immaculate courtyard tea shop, with a friendly community feel and even a little bowl for our furry friends. Our choice was to share a …to die for, comforting Halloumi and honey sourdough toastie, which oozed flavour.. (a warmed through) haddock quiche accompanied by freshly prepared green bean salad. Washed down with a latte, coffee and chocolate milkshake. We couldn’t get enough and spoilt for choice we settled for a banana caramel layer cake ginger cake with caramel icing, topped with mini homemade meringues made the perfect dessert to finish our visit. Friendly, attentive staff! We will definitely be back and counting another toastie off the list of mouthwatering flavours- perfect autumnal/winter warmer! "

"Absolutely amazing. Food was great. There was one item on our starter that they didn’t have, they told us and asked if we wanted anything else in exchange and they put extra of everything on for the inconvenience. I don’t know who the man was that was working but he did an excellent job asking if everything was ok with our meals and just going above and beyond. Serving sizes were bigger than expected and the prices are pretty cheap for what you get. Cant complain"

"STAY AWAY IF ITS A SATURDAY AND DORY HAS JUST A LOAD OF TEENAGE BOYS IN. Been eating at dory’s since it opened. Quite rightly the praise for one of the best sandwich shops in the city centre (how hard can that be just make decent butties and don’t charge the earth for them) Now if you go in the week, you’ll see the regular staff and the well oiled machine running like the orient express. Slick, well made and good portions. However step in on a Saturday when it seems like every kid under 16 needing a work placement has turned up to try and make a sandwich is on shift with Dory himself bumbling round like a rude owner (grunts while politely asked if he had any pickles) Stepped in potato ordered cold and stale potentially from earlier in the week, defo not fresh. Lad fingered the jacket like a pre pubescent Wally, now normally the portions are really decent, this lad spooned his way round the tub like it was caviar… get it on there lad it’s coronation chicken, not some fancy tripe that needs carefully measuring against cost Now as I say in the week totally different, maybe it was today, maybe it’s the Saturday crew, maybe maybe maybe… anyways sad times! Suddenly felt very over priced and under quality as per its usual game! A meal deal at the co op when all that’s left on the shelf is a prawn butty would have been better than this lunch."

"if they are on the look for a lunch on the go, good coffee, baked on the ground brot etc., they hope that they will find wilfred’s deli pantry before greggs!' this is a chalk and cheese moment. small, entrepreneurial, pleasant coworkers like wilfred earn support and...in opposition they will get back what eat should really be we roll out and we will roll out we could have bought more, but this afternoon we traveled home. such a joy to speak with wilfred and to understand the revenge of what they try to achieve. continue success for you young, you have created what small businesses should be in an lively city"
