"Won’t be back. As regulars of the Catch it is with real disappointment that I am writing this review. We regularly go with both friends and family but Sunday the 9th April was our last visit. We had purchased vouchers via Itison, a great deal but unfortunately in error had redeemed 2 £60 vouchers instead of a £60 and a £30. We asked for one voucher to be cancelled as we knew that we wouldn’t spend that much. The manager said she would try her best to get it sorted for us, the waiter then told us not to worry, even if it couldn’t be cancelled something would be sorted out for us. We therefore continued to order our usual haddock and chips. The manager came up as we were eating, apologised and said she had been unable to cancel the voucher so we would just need to order other things from the menu. I asked if it was possible for an IOU to be provided and we would return and spend the rest( and more) she told us this was not possible and we would just need to order from the menu. After telling the waiter to tell us not to worry something would be sorted, actually no it wasn’t. We were left to purchase from the dessert menu which was not great considering we were all full from our main meal and our previous experiences with this at the Catch had been extremely poor so we said we would never get a dessert from here again. We ordered 4 sticky toffee puddings and a sorbet. The sorbet was 10 scraped bits of ice cream that had freezer burn, priced at £5.50. The sticky toffee pudding was awful, it was a cold block of pudding with a thin drizzle of sauce and the smallest blob of ice cream. This was priced at £6.95. At these prices you would expect so much more and at least for it to taste good. No one came to ask how dessert was or to check in on us and we left deflated and annoyed. We will not be back!"

"booked weeks in advance based on recommended. ordered and had to wait 30 minutes for eating. I had the vegan cheeseburger with speck and the vegan poutine that was delicious and I enjoyed. I was amazed that we need her table back in 15 minutes. we had not been told at the time of booking or at the time of arrival this evening; in the grunde “we had gotten their money out now”. shocking customer service or lack of it. updated by previous review on 2021-10-01"

"This WAS our favourite Bread Meats Bread Restaurant in Edinburgh! Unlike the one on North Bridge the portion sizes WERE still normal, at least until perhaps a month ago..... On our most recent AND LAST visit there seemed to be a new menue..... The food was as good and super tasty as ever but the portion sizes have been reduced significantly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was esp. apparent with the chips portions. Do they think that people will not notice how the portions have become smaller!?! The price has gone up. We spend nearly £50 for lunch. C'ommon, who can afford this??? Needless to say, we will NOT be back which is a real shame as this was our most favourite Restaurant in Edinburgh. This is a real, real shame but to be ripped off like that is not fair."

"Brigit's is a bakery that offers vegan Afternoon tea. Unfortunately, the experience is underwhelming once you receive the bill. The tearoom provides a cozy retreat from the rain in London. However, the seating is cramped, with tables placed very close together. The savory options are average at best, lacking in flavor. The vegan pastrami sandwich is a standout item, with a tasty mustard mayo and French roll. The desserts are the highlight of the experience. The cherry and chocolate tart leans more towards tartness than sweetness, but is a good choice. The panna cotta is creamy and well-balanced with raspberry tartness. The macaroon has a crunchy exterior leading to a gooey chocolate ganache center. The warm scone is served last, ensuring optimal temperature and texture, and pairs perfectly with the salty butter. The Christmas tea is a hit, with hints of orange, pineapple, and various spices. Each diner receives a full pot, providing 5-6 cups of delightful tea. Despite all the positives, the price is steep at over $110 for two people, or $55 per person. While Brigit's is one of the few vegan Afternoon Tea options in London, the high price may not be justified by the overall experience."

"This will be our third visit to BB bakery. We have been to their location in Covent Garden twice and experienced their bus tour once. Both experiences were wonderful, but I particularly enjoy sitting in the Covent Garden location as it's nice to walk around afterwards, especially at Christmas. The food is delicious, the place is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you for making the experience enjoyable once again."
