"Originally intended to have a full meal however this didn't go to plan. Service was a bit slow to start with but it was fairly busy and the waiting staff were polite and apologised for the initial delay so we were okay with this. Starters came out fine and we enjoyed the food however around 45 minutes passed and no one had been near us so we had to ask about our mains which were not ready yet. Unfortunately we had plans so needed to leave before we got the mains so paid up for what we had. Overall, we were in the restaurant for well over an hour and a half so really disappointed. The waitress was clearly embarrassed however we made it clear to her there was nothing wrong with her service but clearly an issue in the kitchen. It would have been great if this was communicated to us however it seemed they were prioritising food for delivery as we saw loads coming out the kitchen to get delivered while service all around us was clearly very slow. It might have been appropriate to pause online orders so they could catch up with serving people in the restaurant however there didn't seem to be anyone managing things. It's somewhere we'd hoped to visit again however I don't think I'd want to risk it."

"Firstly I would like to say that this restaurant has just been refurbished, and it didn’t feel like an Italian restaurant, more like a cafe at the beach somewhere! It felt very sparse and most Italian restaurants I e been to have proper tablecloths on the table but these were plastic and I noticed one table it was tapped up underneath, in my opinion it needs to be made more warmly and have more of a family feel. The food was really nice, although I would advise anyone to make sure they double check their order as I chose chicken in a sauce really nice which came with vegetables but I also asked for a separate portion of potatoes, when it arrived I just had chicken with a few cut up potatoes and a very very small garnish of salad ! I mentioned this to the waitress who had taken our order and she said I know but the chef had given you extra salad !! Sorry but salad is not vegetables , it clearly said on the menu it came with vegetables. Having said about the above issue, the meals we all had were nice and the staff gave us a very warm welcome and because of the blip they said we could have a free pudding…..not sure if we all did or it was just mine but I never see the bill as we were treated to this. To finish the evening off we were given a lovely limoncello shot. We would definitely go back. Thankyou for a lovely evening in your restaurant"

"The food is delicious, fresh, and served in generous portions. For pescatarians, there are plenty of options to choose from. The mussels in tomato sauce and linguine marinara are particularly tasty, while the pizzas and garlic bread are authentic and satisfying. Having lived in Japan, London, Australia, and Canada and dined in numerous restaurants, I have never encountered a place as unique and generous as this one. The owner and all the staff truly appreciate their customers and provide exceptional hospitality and respect to each individual diner, whether they are regulars or first-timers. This level of care and dedication is rare and refreshing, making it a joy to support such a local business. It is clear that the customers' happiness is the top priority for this restaurant. Dining here feels like being invited to a warm and loving Italian family dinner. Everyone leaves full, happy, and grateful. I cannot wait to dine at this fantastic restaurant again and will proudly recommend it to my friends. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience!"

"We managed to get a last minute booking which surprised us, given that it was a Friday evening in the west end. When we arrived we received a warm welcome and given a nice table by the window. We ordered wine which was decanted at the table by our waitress Valentina. We chose mussels to start followed by pizza and sergios cod provencal along with a tomato and onion salad which they kindly prepared despite not being on the menu, (not always easy to achieve in many other restaurants) The mussels were tiny and many of the shells were empty, however the marinara sauce was tasty. The pizza, quattro formaggi was incredibly salty and doughy. The cod dish was bland and in our opinion the fish was undercooked. We were hungry so ate what we could. But left a considerable amount of food untouched. When the waitress came to clear she could obviously see that we had not enjoyed the food and asked how it was. She was also surprised that no-one had come to do a quality check. She said she would go and speak to the manager, which she did. After we paid and made to leave the manager then approached and offered us a limoncello which we declined. Sadly we were disappointed and despite there being many celebrity photographs adorning the walls, we found the experience underwhelming."

"What can I say about Pino’s? We’ve been going for two years and will keep on going- customers for life! The food- freshly made and delicious, the portions generous, the service friendly yet professional and always upbeat, the atmosphere as if you’re in a traditional restaurant in Italy! We’re truly lucky a gem like this exists in Wiltshire!! They went above and beyond especially for my father in law’s 80th birthday thank you for everything! Service: Dine in"

"I had a meeting in one of the rooms at this restaurant, which was very pleasant (although a bit difficult to locate). The room was nice and included a bathroom, drinks, a water kettle, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher. The atmosphere was good for a meeting."

"I have been a regular at Spags for years, and before going vegan, I always ordered either the salmon fettuccini or the vegetable lasagne. Occasionally, I would try the beetroot ravioli, which was also marked as vegan and delicious. However, on my recent visit after making the switch to veganism, I was disappointed to find that the beetroot ravioli was no longer on the menu. The pasta dishes now seem quite basic, with options like arrabiata or ortolana, which is essentially just another tomato sauce with peppers and onions. I requested extra chili on my dish and they were very generous with it, creating a flavorful meal. However, I would have preferred something more unique and different from what I could make at home. Despite this, I will continue to dine at Spags as it always guarantees a satisfying meal. I hope that in the future they will consider adding some more exciting options to their pasta dishes."
