"Poor service and rude manager. I dined at Taste of China this evening along with two friends. I ordered a glass of white wine which tasted very bad. I had 3 sips and couldn't bare the taste. I therefore opted for water. Upon receiving the bill, I informed the male manager that the wine tasted very bad (although it was actually toxic and tasted worse than bleach I was trying to be polite) and that was the reason I hadn't drunk the wine. He said that there was nothing wrong with the wine and the issue was with my personal taste. He did not offer to remove the cost of the wine from the bill. After receiving this treatment, we informed the manager that we were not willing to pay any service...read more"

"Ordered the Full Vegan Breakfast and my partner ordered the Vegan Stack. Both were very dry and the toast was not "buttered" and the baked bean portion was tiny so that the bread could not make softer or less dry. The sausages were also a bit dry and tasteless. I had a flat white with soy milk for which they calculated extra. I'm not coming back. Updated by previous review on 2022-08-30"

"During our journey on a narrowboat through Fazeley Junction, we decided to get some takeaway from Kudos. We were quite satisfied with the chicken tikka balti we ordered - it was reasonably priced, delicious, and had generous portions of meat. The garlic naan, while not as strong in garlic flavor as other places, was still enjoyable. In comparison to a previous takeaway we had from a nearby restaurant, Kudos was much better in value and taste. We will definitely opt for Kudos for our next curry when we are in the area."

"I have the need to say that despite the fact that I had never had the opportunity to eat in this restaurant, eat it and enjoy excellent service. I'm worried about my parents and work so I don't have a chance to get out. I'm just eating. the price of burning are 5 stars when it comes to the delivery of home, it is a rare treatment when the workers of the restaurant supply their food with a warm friendly smile and welcome them with names. also they always deliver before the estimated time. eating is always hot and tasty. customer service in its finest."

"The Lanna Thai is something of an anomaly, having somehow managed to survive in Falkirk as everything around it hit the skids, yet nobody ever talks about it and it never seems busy. Located next door to the similarly enduring Railway Tavern near Grahamston train...station, the Lanna Thai is a small, traditionally decorated and family run Thai eatery that may rarely be overflowing, but is never entirely empty. Offering a full menu as well as and course specials, the restaurant's main talking point is its bring your own bottle licensing state, for which there are pros and cons. On the one hand, as someone who doesn't drink wine, it means I need to have any drinks I want pre-chilled and need to remember them. On the other, it means that you are getting drink you want, and if you like wine there's a Tesco literally less than a minute away. I've visited the place several times and always found the staff pleasant. I usually take courses from the budget menu, it's been a while but I'm positive it comes in at around and while the portions are smaller, that comes with the territory. Quality of the food is solid. Eaten there many times and never had a bad meal. At the same time I've never had an exceptional, rave about meal, but I'm definitely erring more towards the side of positivity here. As much as I wouldn't call it budget, it also isn't expensive either. I feel like my score is maybe a bit harsh, but understand I don't put it as out of badness. It's a solid little restaurant that I don't have many complaints about, I just don't really have anything the recommend you rush to try there though."

"Terrible service. Terrible food.. My friends and I went to Hongfu because the restaurant was advertised at our hostel. The advertisement for the restaurant touted Hongfu's quality and their handmade noodles. My friends and I decided to give it a try. We waited an hour for our food to come out while multiple tables seated after us were served. One of my friends ordered chicken curry which was ok. However, my other friend and I decided to try one of the dishes with the handmade noodles. The description of the item was beef in fermented soy sauce, a hot chili sauce, and onions served with handmade noodles. After waiting an hour for our food while the staff just sat there and looked at us...read more"

"I don't usually write reviews, but tonight we decided to order Chinese food for takeout due to Covid-19 restrictions. We have eaten at this restaurant before without any issues. Unfortunately, this time the food was disappointing. The chips were hot but overcooked, and it looked like they were bought frozen from a store. The egg fried rice lacked egg flavor and the sweet and sour sauce was just okay. The special in batter seemed to be frozen and not freshly prepared. Overall, it was a waste of money and we will not be ordering from this restaurant again. I do not recommend their takeout."

"If you like your Chinese food Bland and Tasteless but Cheap, then Wing Hong Honiton is for you. On returning for another take-away we discovered that the business has changed hands. The food quality at Wing Hong has always been very hit and miss, and varied greatly from night to night. The prices appear to have remained the same, though some items are no longer available and the quality has plummeted. Located at 147, High Street, you can often park outside, and the Lace Walk Car-Park is a short walk away. Our Roast Pork Fried Rice and Chicken Chow Mein dishes were almost tasteless and contained only a tiny amount of meat. The flavourless red gunk they supplied masquerading as Sweet Sour Sauce looked as though it probably glows in the dark, due to it containing every E-number ingredient known to man! We have suffered enough and will not be returning. All three Chinese Take-Aways in Honiton are now poor, its time to look further afield."

"We were in London for a few days and we were really looking forward to eating in this restaurant. I had been previously many many years ago but not with my family. On arrival, we were ‘greeted’ by this sour bunch of three ladies, one who confirmed our reservation, one who took our coats and one who showed us to the table. We were put off by this but we were looking forward to our meal so we simply ignored this. Once we saw the exorbitant menu prices (around £29 per dish), we decided to just order a main course only to be asked by the waitress, “is that it? That’s all you are going to order?” What we decide to order is our choice and do not expect to be ‘judged’ by a waitress! Again, we decided to ‘brush this off’ and ordered our meal. To describe this as a ‘meal’ is an understatement! The chicken in black bean sauce had maybe 6 small pieces of chicken, perhaps 50g at most. This was spongy and with no texture at all. I can honestly say that if I ate it blindfolded I would never guess that it was chicken! The spare ribs came absolutely drowned in a thick gloopy sauce and the meat was like a rubber boot and again with not enough to feed a kitten and the fried rice was way undercooked and hard. At this point I had had enough and decided to ask for the owner/manager. Two or three servers came in turn before the actual owner decided to grace us with his presence. At no point did I raise my voice as I had no intention of disturbing other diners. The owner, Norman his name was berated us in a loud voice that he had over 40 years experience in the restaurant business and that no one had ever complained about his food and that he only served prime cuts. He also said that this was kosher food and that we had no idea what kosher food was all about!! We eat kosher at home and when we eat out and he had no right whatsoever to judge us like this! All the other customers were now staring at us making the situation highly embarrassing to say the least! HE then literally threw us out of the restaurant. Looking at the reviews here on Tripadvisor I can clearly see that other people HAVE complained and rightly so, and shared similar experiences to ours. Norman, if you ever read this (and I think you should) please take heed. I will post this review on Tripadvisor and on all Kosher restaurant review sites I can find! Shame on you and shame on your establishment!"

"We ordered from Instanbul Grill tonight, waited an hour and didn 't quite realise they 'd leave the order quite literally ON the doorstep... The driver quite happily handed over the bag and dashed off in a hurry, turns out this was because he 'd dropped half our order outside on the floor. When we called to speak to someone about this there was no apology but instead a 'what do you want us to do about it ' from the girl on the phone, quite shocking really- I just wanted my dinner! After 5 minutes of speaking to them and getting through to the manager they reluctantly sent a replacement item out but left the seagulls to clean up their driver 's mess outside the house..."

"Following recommendations on local social media, we gave this takeaway a try and have now enjoyed several deliveries from them. It is actually now called the New Sunbury Chinese. Ordering and paying on their website is really easy and it remembers your previous orders, which is handy. Delivery isn’t of course instant but it does come well within the wait time advised when you order, and the delivery drivers are very pleasant. Hubby always has dumplings and duck, and is very happy with these, and for me as a vegetarian there is a huge amount of choice so I’m having a different thing each time and working my way through everything on the menu! I’ve been extremely happy with all my choices so far. Also reasonably priced. A regular treat for us now."

"I went with my family to start off the bank holiday as it was advertised that they were having a fish night. There were only 3 options on the specials menu for fish, with the main course option being £25 which we thought was a bit steep for the type of venue it was. The service was incredibly slow and we had to get up several times to find a member of staff to take our orders. A few of us only ordered a few starters as we weren’t too hungry. One of them was described on the menu as a “broccoli and edamame salad” which was literally plain unseasoned boiled vegetables on a plate. The aubergine dip was completely unseasoned and bland. Once we’d finished our food lots of members of staff walked past our table and ignored us and the empty plates were sat there for about 25/30 minutes. We had to chase them again to bring the bill. I complained about two dishes and the service and they did take those two off the bill but no real explanation or apology for the bad service. Waste of money, definitely won’t be going back."

"Looked at the reviews beforehand as we were visiting Llangollen and thought we would give Chopsticks a try..We were sorely disappointed because we walked into the takeaway the reception was surly with no smiles or welcoming service at all, which always puts me right off a place. Picked up our food and for the price it was very average. If you are really hungry I would advise you to order a lot more than intended as the portions are really small. I won't be going back there in a hurry."

"Best Chinese takeaway of my life! I was brought up close by, so this was always our Chinese takeaway. My memories of it were fond, but about 15 years later, we tried it again for old time's sake. Astounding. Super fresh and crispy pancake rolls, colossal portion sizes (the Singapore rice and special satay could feed two . The sweet and sour sauce was perfect, hot and tangy. The satay, spicy and huge. The foo young, huge. We had two portions of pineapple fritters... and my eyes were rolling. So rich, so delicious. The amount of golden syrup and the freshness was insane. We got the pineapple chicken too which was great. Oh, and we also had the mixed starter! Thick prawn toast and super fresh, ribs, all of it was on point. And to top it all off, free prawn crackers and fortune cookies like always. And free(! spring rolls because we knew them. The is the BEST Chinese takeaway you're eating, and a true hidden gem."
