Sun Do - Menu

Planned on visiting this restaurant with my family as was in the area. Parked the car out the back and saw a rat come out from the kitchen. Put us off straight away and we went elsewhere

Very good some people are miserable with miserable people? Food excellent and service was good. Beef fillet was superb and seafood was succulent. Will be back, staff were ALL chatty and friendly

What an amazing night!!! Members of staff made it so spearfish for us, individual approach, so much kindness and consideration. Really friendly and warm environment, food is delicious and the service is outstanding

The food was exceptional and the restaurant atmosphere was good. We ate lunchtime so the staff should have been on their game. However, we have never been served by such a miserable waiter. He all but threw the food on the table, had no personality and not once entered into a conversation not even to ask how the food was or if we wanted anything

We had a very disappointing meal. The food was no better than okay, but the service was dreadful. The male waiter was charmless and rude. We sat for half an hour waiting to ask for pudding. Eventually I asked the waitress , when she came to the next table, if we could order pudding. Twenty minutes later we were still waiting to order. We therefore decided to cut our losses and go home for pudding and coffee. Would not go back.

The food was on the whole good, the chicken was a little bit chewy. The atmosphere was ok but the staff was so rude and miserable. I would have returned for the food but the service received made me and my friend feel so unwelcome we will not be returning. They made every request feel like a chore and were not happy to help. I asked for a fork as I cannot use chopsticks and it basically got thrown in the table. Will not be returning.

We went with friends last night and the food was really good. It’s a lovely restaurant and the staff are efficient without being over bearing. The price was very reasonable also at about £60 pp. We had starters, duck, mains, deserts, wine x 2 bottles and beers galore Make no mistake… It’s not perfect! The service can be a little slow sometimes especially when it’s busy …but if you’re patient …it’s still the best around and we loved it

6-Jul-22: I visited Sun Do for dinner on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was fairly busy, demonstrating its popularity. The decor is traditional, and the very extensive menu contains all the usual suspects but also a lot of interesting dishes that you don't always find. Our table for two was pretty small, so it was hard to fit the various dishes and drinks, but it was at the edge of the room and both chairs faced the room, which I do like as nobody faces a wall. Service was satisfactory. Most staff don't speak much English so it's hard to make conversation, but it was attentive enough. I'll definitely return as it's overall a very good option in the town centre.

My friend and i visited, having phoned to book a table. During that call we were not advised that it would be a 15 pound minimum charge per person. Staff were grumpy looking. We chose a meal each which totaled £18 90,not including service charge. They took the order and kept offering us some other items When we refused the waitress said it would be £15 00 each. We sad no and said our meal would cost £18.90 as on the menu. No where on the menu does it say £15.00 min charge per person. The food was ok. We were not offered cultrey and had to use the serving spoon once we had given up the battle with chopsticks. When the bill came, it was £21. which included service, and they had charged the wro...
