"We were looking for a good Italian restaurant and we were recommended Il Girasole.by some colleagues. We had some starters tomato based (melanzana alla patmiggiana and shrimps in you’ve tomato): the tomato was very acid so not cooked long enough and not seasoned. The melanzana alla prmisggiana, could not been alla parmigiana as there was no test of or is a cheese. More likely a restless cheese. The pizza base were hard and dry. The 4 formaggi pizza had strange cheeses and not the one stated in the menu. The marinara pizza was very salty probably the cheap tuna. Marinara pizza in served with fish. Marinara pizza is made of pizza base, tomato sauce, oregano, olive oil and basil leaves. Never heard of marinara pizza with fish. I doubt the owner or chef are Italian or have Italian origins. I do. 25 April Italian liberation from the German in 1943. No flags in the restaurant to celebrate that important day for the freedom of Italy and democracy. Domino pizza (a chain of resta) is better quality."

"I came across this beautiful restaurant last time I was in the area, so I made a reservation for my return visit. I treated my brother-in-law and his partner, who live in Luton, to thank them. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly manageress, Milena. She escorted us to our lovely table and even took our coats, ensuring our comfort. Ben served as our waiter for the night and provided excellent service throughout. The atmosphere was fantastic, indicating the restaurant's popularity. As for the food, every course was outstanding. The ingredients, flavors, and presentation were all top-notch. We were all very impressed and will definitely be returning soon. Special thanks to Tian, Christina, and Sophie who were also part of the service team. Congratulations to everyone involved for their great work."

"Whilst wondering this lovely little town, we wondered what we should grab to eat. We thought we would play it safe by going to a non-commercial but traditional Italian restaurant. However, whilst the menu may feel like you’re sitting in Italy, there is nothing safe...about the quality of this food! I should first of all acknowledge just how receptive and warming they were to the fact that we had two infants who were part of our party. They did everything they can to make sure that they were smiling as much as we were, and able to squeeze in our buggy and luggage accordingly. The food though was absolutely delicious. The folded garlic and cheese balls to start were absolutely delicious, and oozing of salty chewiness. However both of the monk fish main courses that came out were absolutely outstanding, with very fleshy and generously portion size pieces of fish. The veal Milanese was perfectly crispy and moist in the middle. The infant size pizza was generous portion size. All of it was cooked fresh and served warm. The only thing which frustrated me was the lack of wine options that you can order by the glass. I do understand why restaurants don’t make all of their wines available, but as the only one drinking I would have liked more than just a Pino for white wine options. But this isn’t a restaurant for alcohol, this is a restaurant for well cooked food for all occasions. If I am in the area again I would easily eat here"

"We feel so lucky to have found this restaurant today. We had a bad experience with a pub that was highly rated in google the night before so we were hesitant at first to try it. It was fantastic! Everything was terrific. The high quality and freshness of the ingredients used shined through. My 7 year old daughter kept saying how her tagliatelle with bolognese was the best she ever had and requested I take a picture. My husband and I had fish/seafood dishes that were very fresh and delicious. My son said his pizza was perfect. We had a wonderful ending to a very exciting day."

"the overall experience was good today. the restaurant was clean and tidy. it has a free parking outside for customers. it is a little dark in the inner but on some tables and we had to ask to move to another table because it is too dark what hurts our eyes. with regard to the service, the employees were polite, but as can be seen from previous evaluators, they seem to be from Albanian origin, which we found that when asked to the host it was a simple yes or no answer. there was no engagement to establish a rapport as such and the team sometimes came as rude. they also forgot our water and drink order, which we had to remember. the menu had a lot of choice and a reasonable price given the table for these and drinks. I had to ask the manager to honor the discount of the gourmet company I said on the phone they accepted but not when I visited. but they have sorted it. they also accept here tastecard. the best part of the visit was in fact the food quality. large portion sizes and very well cooked, without problems today. the chicken was rich in taste and very delicate. the kalamari was slightly scattered and tasted and smelled after arriving. the chips were as they would expect; well salted and the right color. we asked for sauces and found that the mayonnaise was no longer from the date, but that was corrected by the host. Overall, I would think again to visit and give him a 7/10. nice eating can be done by the service of the team."

"The Best Italian service and of course the Best food. The real deal. Just like being in Florence or Amalfi! No need to board a plane, head here and sit on the terrace, they will do the rest! "Very poor value, I had vegan burger and chips; a small lonely burger in a bun with a handful of skinny fries and what constituted a salad was a small pile of rocket with a lazy squirt of balsamic glaze- chef, this does NOT constitute a dressing!! "Have never eaten here, but only ever heard positive feed back. Cousins birthday, I do not live in the area so rang to order some bottles of bubbles for the table. Only writing this as experience was very upsetting and I am still shocked. I spoke with a lady, explained cousin having birthday dinner (I did get name wrong that table was ordered under) so wanted to make sure was correct table. She said I was loud and shouting. I have a loud voice (nodules on voice box). But its also naturally loud as well. I do not raise my voice, it is not my style also my voice loud enough. It doesnt need raising. We finally worked out correct table, I then thought she had gone to get payment machine. But she just hung up. So I called back, another waitress answered. I explained previous call and again asked if I could pay over phone for bottles of bubbles. I was asked to wait a moment whilst she fetched the machine. Whilst I waited I had to listen to what herself and the first waitress were saying about me. Won 't lie, it was very upsetting and I 'm quite a tough cookie. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional as well as hurtful. When she came back on phone I politely told her I heard all their conversation, she went quiet and apologised then asked if still wanted the bubbles. I politely replied 'I don 't think so '. Not sure what to take away from this experience. At least cover phone or put on hold if your going to talk badly about someone who wishes to spend money whom you have never met............"

"Last weekend, I visited this restaurant with my family and I cannot express enough how impressed I was with the restaurant and the staff. The waiters were friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. As someone with severe allergies, I was grateful for the care they took in adapting my dish from the menu to ensure it was safe for me to eat. "Came here after ages. Nice branch. Staff are friendly and pleasant. Good service and they had air conditioning on a hot day! You know the menu, pizza, salads, dessert and more! There are not many choices for those who want a pasta. If you do, go elsewhere. A nice variety for those on a vegetarian or vegan diet plus they display nutritional information which is helpful. I had the Leggera Pollo ad Astra. I like the Leggera range which is low calorie and light so you still enjoy a pizza but with less dough and you have salad! A pizza with a hole in the middle. I say salad but it was just rocket leaves, but this was fine. To drink I had a Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. Couldn't fault it. Perfectly made, fresh and presented nicely. I liked the side dressing for the salad too. I asked for just a little ice with my drink and got exactly what I wanted. Can't complain. Clean branch. Half full late afternoon on a Sunday. Staff were attentive and nice, yet at the same time, they allowed diners to eat in peace."

"We had booked a table for 4 at San Pietro tonight for 6.30pm. As we walked in they had given our table to some regulars. They asked us to wait outside in the cold with two children. I asked how long, and was told it would be half an hour. We said we would come back if our table would be ready. When we came back they looked surprised and tried to make a makeshift table for 4 right by the front door in front of the bar. This table was clearly not suitable with the main door opening right upon our ‘makeshift’ set up. When I asked what had happened to our table, the waiter mumbled something inaudible. I would have had more respect for the staff, if they had just apologised from the start and explained that they had given our table away to some regular diners, meaning we could have fed our children earlier at a more considerate establishment. At no time did any staff apologise to us, for giving our table away. Avoid this place at all cost. We did go to Tapios Tapas the first night in Windermere and the food was great and so was the service and very reasonably priced. We went to Hooked Seafood on the second night and the food was amazing. The soft shell crab starter and sea bass main with a nice bottle of Picpoul de Pinet were superb. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. You should go to either of them before San Pietro."

"We regularly visit with family and love the reasonable prices great value and delicious food every time. I am however increasingly concerned about the stairlift which has worked intermittently for the last year or two..The lift is clearly not serviced regularly as it has not been working well for a long time.We always have issues going up in the stairlift less so on the way down) . Although this is frustrating my wider concern is that if there was a fire or emergency any disabled customers would have major issues leaving the building. I’m not convinced a risk assessment has been done either as this seems to me to be a major issue. Looking at the wires today revealed 3 loose wires and one that had been cut very visible to anyone looking) not sure we will visit as regular from now as I’m worried about my stepmoms safety and want to feel confident that she is safe xx"

"We had friends coming to stay at St. Brides and they asked if we would like to meet them for lunch somewhere. We actually live in Pembrokeshire, but do not know that area very well, so I looked online and liked the look of Sunshine Italian, so suggested we met there. We were not disappointed. It is a lovely little restaurant, right opposite the beach. Our waiter, Fabio, was so friendly and efficient and made us feel very welcome. We each had something different to eat and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Three of us had the affogato for dessert and it was the best I had ever tasted the Baileys made all the difference. Oh and the toilet was spotless! Would definitely go back."

"This is an amazing restaurant with exquisite food. A very varied menu which also includes a few pub classics. Chef adds a great selection of daily specials as well. We had Cornish Sea bass which was soooo tasty. It is not a large restaurant so best to book or check first to ensure you get a table. They have a separate area for large groups, corporate meals etc. The staff are attentive and friendly."

"always wonderful eating here, but I was particularly impressed last night with a young waiter and the service. my friend and I spent age groups talking before reading the menu. we ordered a beautiful antipasti-sharing plate (which was quite large) to begin and before the waiter went away I asked if she had still a gorgonzola pasta dish I had christmas before I read the menu. he knew exactly what plate I had boiled up-long bark, mushrooms, gorgonzola and Tagliatelle....he told me that it was no longer on the menu, but he would ask the cook if it was possible. I didn't want them to go into hardships, but sure enough that he came back and said they could do it. it was as delicious as I would remember!"

"Unfortunately no very good evening we brought our son to haslemere pizzaexpress, but we got a terrible service. we order starters that have never come and a pizza was not what we ordered and that is waiting after 45 minutes on Thursday night. it seems that the cook wants to do what they want, and the writers have no idea what was going on. after 45 the writer asked where our appetizers then brought the main course instead of the wrong pizza. absolutely ridiculous not again. I make better pizza home than her and she just ground why I landed in the restaurant because my son insisted. but now even he realized 11 years how trerblethe service was."

"a party of 27 of us visited on Saturday and the restaurant has really copied that well. a few of the waiting hired were a little vivid and brought out eating that they didn't know what it was, but apart from that it was great. eating was absolutely beautiful. 10/10. the portions are enormous! I had a pasta meal to begin and it was huge, and had filet steak in blue cheese sauce for my head and it was one of the best filets steaks I ever had. "Greeted by huge smiles and welcomes from all the staff, service was like fine dining without all the poshness. Great value pastas were all £10 or under, very generous portions (we nearly didn't finish after sharing a tomato bruschetta and tuna carpaccio entrees). Had the seafood orrichiette in tomato, bean and chilli sauce and the linguine king prawns with olives and sundries tomatoes in napoletana sauce. All very good quality ingredients, authentic Italian cooking. Also can't not mention the yummy tiramisu (not too sweet- a great balance). A real gem of a restaurant MUST visit if you're in Bath!"
