"I had high hopes as I am a pizza lover, how wrong could I have been. Greeted by a rude member of staff, so not the best start. The cafe was busy, very busy, the tables are very crammed in together and so much so the back of my chair was being hit by every person and memeber of staff walking past....... While trying to order the member of staff seemed more concerned in talking to people walking through the door and other members of staff, a bit annoyed, we still ordered had we had high hopes of some of the best pizza in Devon..... How wrong we were. My pizza was how to put it..... pretty awful, I've had better supermarket own microwave pizza's...... the toppings didn't reach the edge which was VERY dry so that was left. I paid and left, why I paid I have no idea. Rude staff and below par pizza, just don't bother, you will be better off going to Pizza Hut."

"Went for the Italian taster night and it was awesome! Really good quality food and came away completely stuffed after 8 courses for just £20 per head. Even took some home for lunch the next day as well! Feel bad that it’s taken us so long to visit for dinner when it’s right on our doorstep, we occasionally pop in for take away coffee/pastry/cake but will definitely be coming back in for more sit down meals... breakfast is next on the list! Great addition to the local area, keep up the good work"

"That was an incredible restaurant experience! We had traveled a long way from Leicestershire and had a few nights in Blackpool. We had planned our travel weeks in advance and arranged to visit this beautiful restaurant based on their Google reviews. We were not disappointed! I took some pictures of our courts. First, the presentation was brilliant. But secondly, the food was absolutely exquisite. It was incredibly tasty, the taste was on the place and the portions were just right! This is the best Italian restaurant where we were and it was really authentic. In addition to brilliant dishes, SUPERB staff were very attentive, friendly and entertaining. We were supervised by Stefano, Nico, Francesca and Anita. I couldn't find out who the cook was, but I'm sending them my compliments! We also enjoyed our cocktails! This restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. Perfect in every way! If we find ourselves in Blackpool again, we will return and do not hesitate to recommend friends and family. Thanks for a great dinner."

"NO PARKING!! Sadly I have to give it a 4 stars because it wasn’t clean. Our table wasn’t clean, sticky and salt or something like that all over it and every time we went to the bar order beer, there was either empty glasses sitting there or full beers but not one around and they were not busy. I want to give it a 5 stars, I do! Fair prices on the beers for their quality and they were good beers. And really we did have great interaction with the employees. One of them who was off shift came and talked to us. Obviously we’re tourists…. But I would go back."

"Had a pretty nice meal here for a girls birthday night out with a large table of 15 friends. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The cocktails were divine and they were well priced in general for food and drinks. The place was really quiet for a Saturday night strangely? A few people sat out front with a dog just drinking and a bit loud mouthed may have been putting people off? I would try this place again and would recommend to friends. A much nicer experience than the heaving, loud atmosphere and dreadfully slow service in the pizza express in Oxford street that managed to serve up my brothers vegetarian pizza with ham on!!!"

"We feel so lucky to have found this restaurant today. We had a bad experience with a pub that was highly rated in google the night before so we were hesitant at first to try it. It was fantastic! Everything was terrific. The high quality and freshness of the ingredients used shined through. My 7 year old daughter kept saying how her tagliatelle with bolognese was the best she ever had and requested I take a picture. My husband and I had fish/seafood dishes that were very fresh and delicious. My son said his pizza was perfect. We had a wonderful ending to a very exciting day."

"we were in don beni manly in winkfield and thought we would try eton. only I and my wife sat in the window, beautiful sitting. no starter, I ordered the sirloin steak, my wife pasta. my wife loved her pasta absolutely. I cut into my...Steak (as medium crossed) and was well done. I have the waiter over, I said, "I don't want to complain, but I'm sorry I asked about this medium," which shows him the steak. he replied, “Do you want me to cook it a little more?” at this point I knew I was in trouble. I said, "No thanks, you can show the cook and ask him what he thinks." at the place he goes away with the teller and shows the chef, a minute later returns and says: "the chef says that there should be no blood on a middle steak and that is how it should be". I'll let them be judges of these pictures, what a middle steak should be. it was gum, I ate it was hungry not want to argue and cause a fuss. I know I should probably."

"I was looking for a quick bite to eat and was excited to find a menu with two full pages of vegan options. I decided on the marinara dish and was pleased to see it arrive at my table just a few minutes later. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. "the overall experience was good today. the restaurant was clean and tidy. it has a free parking outside for customers. it is a little dark in the inner but on some tables and we had to ask to move to another table because it is too dark what hurts our eyes. with regard to the service, the employees were polite, but as can be seen from previous evaluators, they seem to be from Albanian origin, which we found that when asked to the host it was a simple yes or no answer. there was no engagement to establish a rapport as such and the team sometimes came as rude. they also forgot our water and drink order, which we had to remember. the menu had a lot of choice and a reasonable price given the table for these and drinks. I had to ask the manager to honor the discount of the gourmet company I said on the phone they accepted but not when I visited. but they have sorted it. they also accept here tastecard. the best part of the visit was in fact the food quality. large portion sizes and very well cooked, without problems today. the chicken was rich in taste and very delicate. the kalamari was slightly scattered and tasted and smelled after arriving. the chips were as they would expect; well salted and the right color. we asked for sauces and found that the mayonnaise was no longer from the date, but that was corrected by the host. Overall, I would think again to visit and give him a 7/10. nice eating can be done by the service of the team."

"celebrated tonight as a birthday party. at the arrival we sat with caution. away from the window as it was very cold outside. soak order immediately and quickly arrived. order for food shortly after. all food came sharp, great presentation and extremely tasty. had the fun starter and minenstrone suppe (soup of the day) both beautiful. the main course was fantastic. hubby had seafood risotto and I had the booze. 5 stars as incapable of finding any mistakes. many thanks for a beautiful evening"

"The garlic bread and grilled vegetable starters were quite good. The aglio e olio could have used a bit more salt, but it had a lovely aroma of chili and garlic. The spaghetti marinara with seafood was divine. The clams had a bit of grit—about 1 in 15—but it was much better than my experience the night before. The service was a bit lacking for us Italians, but the owner was incredibly patient and entertaining for the kids at our table. Kudos to him! Overall, I really enjoyed the appetizers and it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in the Lake District."

"I am a regular at this restaurant on Monday nights because the upstairs area hosts one of the best jazz clubs in London, managed by Will. They bring top talent to us Londoners, and tonight's performance by the Jo Davies trio was exceptional. Her new album was recorded live here, so I am excited to hear it! The ambiance and acoustics are wonderful, and the staff is very friendly. The beer selection is decent, but I wish they had a stronger bitter ale like Greene King Abbot or London Pride instead of Good Old Boy. We tried the Mahajana IPA, which was better but still not quite what we were looking for. I recommend getting the house wine if you are sharing a bottle with two or more people."

"Wonderful meal on a Saturday evening when we were staying in the area for the first time. A very welcoming atmosphere when we arrived: lots of family groups with children, all clearly enjoying their food. Service was very friendly and efficient. We shared an antipasto platter for a starter all good, and my only regret was that I hadn't ordered a plate of the arancini all to myself. For mains, we had various pasta and pizzas all very good (especially the spaghetti carbonara), and a cut above anything similar that we've had for a long time. For sweets, the tiramisu and affogato tia maria were delicious. Lovely meal, and lovely too to see an independent restaurant so busy and popular."

"Visited Bella Italia for a 70th birthday. Wow, the staff were absolutely amazing. There were 17 of us a mix of adults and children so we kept the staff on their toes. They were so good when it came to taking our orders and making sure we always had drinks. The food was amazing and not one order was incorrect. "Professional Review Firstly I must say this is my most favourite local Italian restaurant they never fail to please and I can’t believe Ive only just reviewed now! For starters I had the Halloumi starter. The halloumi was cooked to perfection and the salad was fresh, the portion size was more that enough. The sweet Chile sauce was tasty and not over powering. For the mains I went for the margarita pizza (back to basics) with a side order of fries. The pizza was very tasty came out nice and hot with a nice crispy crust cooked to perfection.The tomato base was tasty and home made and the cheese and mozzarella was absolutely loverly.The fries were cooked well just slightly to oily. The chocolate fudge cake was loverly aswell! Regarding the environment I always feel very welcomed and adequately catered for. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is never over crowded or to loud and always warm and homely and not overly expensive! This place is a hidden Gem and maybe that’s why I’ve kept it to myself for so long but I recommend this as my top rated restaurant in hull! Signing off Plus 1 side reviews"
