"Food was mostly lovely, few things could be improved but overall good. Think they need a few more staff as they're all run off their feet and we waited a while to be served as they were trying to do so many things (but nice staff). The main thing that is hugely off putting is the awful hollow tinny noise level, definitely needs some soft furnishings or something to absorb some of the sound so you can hear yourself speaking to the person sat next to you. The outside seating is fab. Nice cocktails."

"Servers were all lovely. However felt like we had all been packed into as many tables as possible for Valentine’s Day. Had to squeeze past multiple tables to even walk to the main part of the restaurant. Then once we sat down we ordered drinks and food at 7:30. Our starters still hadn’t arrived by 8 so we asked someone and he got them out for us. Then, we waited for our mains which was until 8:30, when we asked someone again where are food was. We got told it’ll be out shortly. Finally our mains came out at 8:40 but one of them was incorrect. Overall, waiting 30 mins for a starter and 1h10m for a main isn’t great. Members of staff kept saying they weren’t busy and that was the reason for the delay but I think a bit of preparation would have helped. Was first and last time here."

"We celebrated our daughter's 18th birthday at Wildwood with the whole family. We had a party of 24 and reserved the private dining room. The service was exceptional from the moment we booked until we left. Andy and Sylvie went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. I want to give a shoutout to our waiter, Sam, who provided attentive and excellent service despite his young age. My only suggestion is to offer more vegan options as the selection is limited. However, I did enjoy the vegan lasagne which was delicious. I look forward to returning. Thank you for making my daughter's birthday celebration so special."

"Possibly the fastest I’ve ever been seated, ordered, served and paid in any restaurant. No sooner we’re we seated we were asked to order and still eating the starter when the pizzas arrived unbelievable. In and out in around 50 mins is not my idea of a relaxing dinner out. The Pizza was better than average, certainly better than the well known chains but it was spoilt by the ridiculous speed and churn."

"Six adults and two dogs on a boating holiday called in for lunch. We sat outside in the spacious garden with lovely canal views and a huge sun shade for those of us that wanted shade. The wines were great (I was immediately asked if I had a preference for region for sauvignon blanc and they had a lovely New Zealand Marlborough) and the guys said the Guinness was very well kept. The menu was very varied and even though there was a slight hiccup with one meal, it was immediately taken away and replaced without any fuss, plus we had an apology from the chef as we were leaving! Two people had the generously-sized wood fired pizzas and the reminder was boxed up for us to take back to the boat. My crispy duck salad was the best meal of our week away. The staff were very kind and helpful and if we're ever in the area again, we'll be going back."

"My friend booked this and was reassured they had a separate GF menu and was Coeliac safe. When we arrived the waitress informed me there was no GF menu and ‘all’ pasta could be made GF. This didn’t quite reassure me as not all sauces looked to be GF. The manager came out and was a lot more reassuring. I proceeded to order the Pasta Arrabiata and garlic mushrooms. I was already slightly on edge. The food came out within 10 mins which was extremely fast but also again concerning (cross contamination, less careful timing). The food tasted amazing. 4 hours later the Coeliac in me hit and I had a huge flare up. I will not be going to this restaurant again. NOT COELIAC FRIENDLY. Reassurance in a restaurant is so important and honesty too and I didn’t feel comfortable or confident."

"We were a large party with kids from 4 to 94, the staff couldn't do enough to cater for everyone. Food was delivered to the table in such a way that the kids were kept occupied, not that the staff minded when they were running around. When the food was delivered it was lovely, everything from the kids pizzas to the fancy adult pasta really hit the mark. I will definitely be going back to try a more intimate dinner."

"We visited this restaurant last night, the first time in a few years. The service was good and friendly. The pate was okay, and the dough balls were also just okay. The calzone and mushroom risotto were average, while the gnocchi was okay. Overall, the food was nothing special. The prices were quite high, with beers costing £7.50 each and Sprites priced at £4.75. We ended up spending £162 for four people, including a bottle of mid-priced wine. We were not impressed enough to come back in a hurry."

"Service was excellent, all members of staff were extremely friendly and we did not have to wait long for any course. All our food was delicious and well cooked, and the ice cream was soft and creamy. My only complaint would be the lack of spaghetti and meatballs or bolognese. Overall, would highly recommend."

"Visited tonight. Great menus to choose from, including themed Halloween . Chose from the Vincenzo special. I had duck salad to start which was fab. The duck was nicely shredded with hazelnuts on a bed of mixed leaves with a lovely balsamic glaze. For my main course I chose the rolled chicken breast which was stuffed with a very tasty goats cheese wrapped in Parma ham and served on a lovely Napoli sauce. The vegetables were piping hot. All absolutely delicious. I defy anyone to get a better meal at such excellent prices. Thank you for a super meal."

"I ordered some light dessert bites at 11:20 PM on a Monday night with an estimated arrival time of 11:40 PM, which I found to be optimistic considering the restaurant is only a 15-minute drive from my location. At midnight, I called for an updated arrival time and was informed that the driver had already left and would be arriving shortly. By 12:20 AM, I called again and was placed on hold while they tried to reach the driver. Eventually, the driver arrived, seeming unaware of the previous issues. He handed me the food, which included cold milk and cream-based desserts that were not properly packaged and had become warm and mushy. As he handed me the food, the bag ripped and I dropped a milkshake on the floor, luckily it was wrapped in clingfilm and remained intact. I tried to discuss the issues with the driver while still on the phone with the restaurant, but it seemed to be dismissed as a simple misunderstanding. Ultimately, I should have trusted my instincts and sent the food back as the hot food was cold, the cold food was warm, and the cookies were burnt. Overall, not worth the wait and hassle in my opinion."

"We went here with friends. The booking was for 7-0 We got in at 6-55 so they allowed us to have the early bird. My friends pate was served on a bread bun and not Melba toast. The portions are very large they would be better to do smaller portions and better quality food. The minestrone soup was good. The prawn cocktail I had was large and not much taste would have preferred less and better prawns. The spicy meat ball starter was nice. The mozzarella starter was nice. The bread served with the meal was very dry and tasted a little stale. Should have been served warm. The mains were spinach and ricotta cheese lasagne far too much spinach and hardly any cheese. Our friend said the pizza was nice. The chicken a la cream the sauce tasted like Campbell’s soup. The salmon was good the best bit of the meal, the mash was like smash instant the bro all I over cooked kept warm for too long. The chips were too many and tasteless not very Italian. The veg was not bad good choice. Carrots were nice. The portions were so large we were stuffed and no room for pudding. They need to focus on smaller portions and better quality food. Excluding salmon which was lovely. The service was very very slow. The chairs were very uncomfortable. Although most of the food was palatable it was not good. We would not eat there again. There are better Italian restaurants in Halifax. Ok for pizza and salmon mini stone so.up there the story ends Disappointed"

"Beautiful birthday meal for my grandchild and family, where the food and service was excellent. The restaurant was quite busy, but despite this the drinks, appetizers and main courses, where delivered with perfect timing and the quality and amount of each meal was on place. The menu was quite extensive with a lot of choice for all, with the mixed grill is a challenge for even the most hearty appetite, and meals also value for money. "The waiter who served my girlfriend and me was incredibly rude. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated and then another 15 minutes for him to take our order. After we finished our starters and mains, he didn't say anything when we thanked him and just walked away. He was the man with a beard and ponytail. I will not return to this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone. However, the food was delicious. The service we received was very disappointing for a franchise of this size. When I asked for a recommendation between the pizza and the bolognese, he mentioned receiving complaints about the bolognese, which made me wary of the food. Despite the subpar service, the chefs did an excellent job."

"Having a busy Sunday with children playing football and their individual demands for lifts , fortunately we had some unexpected time to go out and enjoy some us time and eat a meals together without the children. We called a few restaurants before securing a...booking with this wonderful place Firstly we were welcomed by an amazingly friendly and accommodating front of house chap Lim then were treated to some delicious food. I had spiced meat balls and my wife had warm goat cheese salad then Then we shared the Tomahawk steak cooked rare to perfection with gorgeous vegetables , chips and mushrooms. The waiter Elliot was a genuine warm and engaging young lad who made sure we were happy with our meal and service Finally we spoke with the manger Jane to express our satisfaction with our whole experience and we totally knew why that restaurant was so spectacular. She is so lovely and astute to what people want from a meal with their family. "It’s my sons 9th birthday today and I decided to take him to try the best pizza in the area. Called up and spoke to the owner who managed to book us a table last minute for 7pm. We ordered a couple of lemonades and 1X 12 inch meat pizza between me and my son which had sausage, chicken, ham and cheese. The pizza was so fresh, delicious and very lite that we ordered a second one and after that we were stuffed. I supplied a chocolate cake and the owner/chef brought the cake out with candles and sung happy birthday to my son. It was a beautiful moment and was so nice of him to do that. This is the best pizza place I’ve been to plus the friendly staff etc made us feel very welcome. Thank you very much for everything I will be bringing my son and mum back here very soon. "I went to this restaurant because it was the only option near the train station and was convenient while waiting for my train.
