"We’re definitely heading back tomorrow! My friend and I were craving Italian food and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant just a short walk from our hotel. Our cravings were more than satisfied. We started with a sensational garlic pizza bread, which was simply fantastic. For the main course, my friend had a delicious creamy salmon dish, while I indulged in a mouthwatering pasta with Italian sausage and salami. To top it off, we enjoyed one of the best desserts I've ever had—the screamberry cheesecake. Everything was fresh, well-balanced, and superb, enhanced by the exceptionally friendly and efficient service. We still have a few days left in the Lake District, and we've already booked a table for another visit!"

Absolutely stunning food and excellent service. Couldn't fault a single thing! I had spaghetti Marinara and it was one of the most delicious meals I've ever had, packed with seafood and beautiful looking

Loved our food and experience here. My spiced garlic and tomato pasta was divine. Enjoyed a truly beautiful bottle of red with my husband too. The kids (x3 2, 4 and 12) were really looked after by our waiter and kindly split pizza and portions for us. A lovely experience and when next in the Lakes will be a stop for us!

This spacious Italian restaurant in Bowness-on-Windermere offers friendly and attentive service, along with delicious, well-presented traditional dishes. The prices are reasonable, and the kitchen features an intriguing specials board. Since the restaurant is fairly cozy, making a reservation is advised. Highly recommended!

We walked in on a busy evening after an issue with a booking elsewhere and were lucky to get a table. The staff were really friendly -especially when we left late and they were enjoying a well deserved evening meal together. The food was stunning, not your basic Italian by a long shot! We will certainly be returning next time we are in the area! Also the best pudding ever recommend by the lovely lady that served us xx View menu

Took a chance a chance of not booking and it paid off. We arrived after 8 and got seated immediately. It was busy but the charm and atmosphere weren’t lost. Food was served quickly and tasted delicious. The restaurant has a traditional family atmosphere and we were made to feel welcome. It’s worth making sure you have room for the tiramisu or sticky toffee pudding, both home made and amazing…. I’d go as far as saying the sticky toffee pudding was better than any other rival I have tasted, it was very light and tasted great

The garlic bread and grilled vegetable starters were quite good. The aglio e olio could have used a bit more salt, but it had a lovely aroma of chili and garlic. The spaghetti marinara with seafood was divine. The clams had a bit of grit—about 1 in 15—but it was much better than my experience the night before. The service was a bit lacking for us Italians, but the owner was incredibly patient and entertaining for the kids at our table. Kudos to him! Overall, I really enjoyed the appetizers and it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in the Lake District.

"This review is strictly on the afternoon tea experience only. The food was absolutely wonderful, the lady who served food and the male staff (presumed the owner) were both very kind and friendly. I felt that the afternoon tea was an absolute treat since there was nothing to fault with, that was only until it was ruined by the rude woman who was driving past in black 4x4 (presumed female host). After we finished the afternoon tea, I decided to let my dog out from our car to let him stretch his legs before we set off, the rude woman mentioned above asked me if I was looking for a public footpath so I answered no. She then started to lecture me about the ‘no dog policy’ in the property as well as pointing a direction to the public footpath I did not ask. She drove further towards the car park and parked there, got out of her, and started to tell me off in the most rude way possible again. I explained that we just had an afternoon tea here and we’re about to leave. She then turned around started to take stuff out of her boot mumbling loud “stupid..blah blah” in the angry tone, which by the way was clear for me to hear even though I was at least a few feet away from her. I was so bewildered and frustrated at how this perfectly lovely experience went down the hill like this si quickly. Hence I took two stars off even though I did enjoy the food here. Whoever that woman was, please make sure that they cannot behave that way to a guest."

"We are non residents of the hotel and have visited this restaurant a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is the main feature here and service/staff are professional. The wine list is quite small but adequate, and the view as the sun sets across Windermere from the terrace can be stunning. The only issue I had on my last visit were the hotel guests in the restaurant. Now i realise that they have to eat in the hotel either as part of their package or if they simply choose to, BUT please have some general dress code in place. As we believe at £40 per head plus drinks the restaurant owes it to itself, the chef, and team to put this in place. I'm not talking dinner suits here, but after making an effort as a family, sat next to couples with sweaty dirty vest tops, trunks and flip flops is not keeping with the brand. They should either eat on the terrace or in the bar area or take room service. You simply cannot promote this restaurant at the price point without a smart /casual dress code that some of the Lakes Pubs/B Bs have! I've got to say that as much as I like the food of Lukasz Zebryk its what is happening out front that is killing his brand. Its a shame that I may be re-visting some of your competition on our next important anniversary/occasion, but please look into the comments above as you deserve to be up there with the best."
