"beautiful location with view. three options for vegans, the curry that we were both chosen was from the menu when we ordered. we then chose the tagine, which was small and tasteless and inspiring. one of us went for the fungus starter that could upgrade to a vegan feta and a net size. they calculated £13.90 for two field mushrooms, an salat garnish and some vegan cheese, we were robbed. when is the standard all in order with their meal times? I answered, it is tasteless and there is simply not enough food, we ordered a bowl chips to calm our hunger, no reduction was offered to the price, just an apology of our very good waitress that she did very best when in the opposite, they try the white lions in thakeham, stunning vegans choice, jackfruitka"

"We visited the restaurant for the first time for my partner's birthday meal, and we absolutely loved it. Our son, who is usually quite fussy, really enjoyed his burger and was the first to finish! My steak was cooked to perfection, and the meat juices were simply amazing. If only Miller & Carter served a few slices of crusty bread to soak up those delicious juices, I would have been exceptionally happy! I must admit, I didn't quite understand the point of the wedge of salad, and to be honest, I could have done without that. Our waiter was very attentive, though I regret that I can't remember his name."

"Tukuaz has been fully renovated since my last visit and now feels fresh and modern. We sat by the large bi-folding windows on a warm evening watching the comings and going of Doncaster! The food is still fantastic and the meal deals really good value. Its a good idea to try as many of the starters as you can to get a real taste of Turkish food. Service was very efficient and friendly but if I had one small criticism, it was that we felt a bit rushed. I don't like having main course served whilst I'm still chewing my starter, and I think from sitting down to paying the bill was under an hour. As I said, a minor criticism and next time we will ask for a pause between courses. Otherwise a very enjoyable restaurant."

"Having dined previously at Michelin Star restaurants we were very much looking forward to our reservation at the Gavroche . We were a party of three and ordered the menu exceptional vegetarian , the menu exceptional and one meal from the a la carte menu . Both menu exceptionals were disappointing , the only memorable course of both being the cheese soufflé , the cheese board offered a good selection but these are bought in and not made at the Gavroche , it’s also not the best idea to cut slices of different cheese using the same knives ! My wife who had chosen the a la carte menu enjoyed the cheese soufflé starter , the steak tournedos main and sticky toffee pudding dessert which interestingly wasn’t anything like sticky toffee pudding ! Perhaps it would be best to stay away from the menu exceptionals although this should not be the case ! Generally there was a lack of fine detail to the dining experience , a lack of enthusiasm from the staff other than the sommelier who was well worthy of a 2 Michelin star restaurant . Sadly we felt the whole experience was underwhelming and disappointing , perhaps tainted as a result of its upcoming closure ."

"Twelve was recommend to me by a number of local vegans for somewhere to eat rather than the hotel I was staying in. This is probably not only the best vegan restaurant I’ve eaten in, but probably in the top handful of restaurants I’ve ever used over the past 30 years. The ethos and care that has clearly gone into the menu is evident and the place has a nice laid back, refined feel. The menu choices is great with something for everyone with reasonable sized portions. The fact that nearly everything is home made and not bought in processed food is clear this is a really good restaurant. Full marks to the staff at Twelve for an innovative restaurant that’s serves damn good food."

Pizza is always above par, the venison burger was amazing even the 'chips ' were really done a dis-service by calling them chipsl! Desert of dark chocolate with peanut and Morello cherries was really sublime... well worth the drive out of our way just to eat here!! Thank you! "Awful experience that my family and I went through at the The Artichoke pub in Chartham that resulted in plates being physically snatched (from behind our backs) out of the hands of a mother who was breast feeding at the time all whilst a four year old was watching!!! The actions of the staff were absolutely disgraceful, despicable and rude. Initially everything was fine and we were greeted warmly and were made comfortable with our seating. The atmosphere was warm and friendly which makes it all the more surprising how events unfolded. The issue started when our main course was brought to the table. It was my daughter who noticed that her dinner was incredibly cold (we all had variations of the roast) and after checking I felt that all 4 meals were cold. Some elements had some warmth but most were cold to the point it would have been unpleasant to eat. The gravy was lukewarm on one side but cold on another plus the plates were cold, potatoes hard and meats very dry. My issue isn’t one with the food rather how it was dealt with by the staff as I would expect that the standard process would be for a customer to inform a member of the team and for a replacement to be offered with an apology. We had waited a while for the food (we were told that it was being plated up long before it arrived which is why I think it was cold) but when I let Chelsea know that it was cold it took an awfully long time for another member of staff to attend to “deal with it,” whilst she playfully chatted with another table. Given that we have young children who need to get to bed we did need to get on. A lady, Holly Millin I think, eventually came over and was extremely curt and sharp which felt very much out of place as no complaint had been made. She did offer to replace or to cancel the meal with no charge. We accepted the former as the latter would have meant that our daughter would have gone without dinner when we needed to get her home ready for school but it made us feel very undervalued to the point that we were being inconvenient. I did ask the lady that I was surprised that food could be brought out without checking and she said that food is probed and that plates are hot enough to burn your skin. This didn’t help offer an explanation as to why ours were cold but I didn’t press any further. After the replacement meals were brought out Chelsea asked if everything was okay and I said that the food was indeed warm but I was surprised that we weren’t offered an apology because the state of the initial meals was entirely unacceptable – I was simply shocked by her brazen reply of “I am sorry that you feel that way” which we took to be very condescending and sarcastic. After this interaction I looked at my wife with incredulity and perhaps let out a nervous laugh. Chelsea must have overheard my reaction to her sarcasm and reported to her manager that we laughed at her (which we hadn’t). At which point the manager came over and without warning snatched our plates whilst stating that we had laughed at Chelsea which we hadn’t. My wife was breast feeding at that time that Holly leant over her to snatch her barely started dinner. Holly then proceeded to physically grab the plate away from my mother-in-law who had no idea the lady was behind her – she had her cutlery in her hands and was chewing! My mother-in-law also does not speak English and had no idea what was happening. How can reporting a cold meal be escalated to this level? From initially nice service to plate snatching. This certainly is not normal behaviour for any human. We still cannot believe what happened. Today my daughter is still upset as she witnessed an altercation by a lady she did not know and my wife is shocked that a person could be physically aggressive whilst she was breast feeding a baby – anything could have happened if the plate would have hit his head. Be warned something is not right with these people..."

"We really enjoyed our visit to Infiniti. The restaurant is modern and has a relaxed ambience. The starters were gorgeous and the mains were lovely too. They have a couple of good vegan main options but I think most of them were rather more side dishes than main dishes but what we did have was nice. The meat-eaters really enjoyed their mains and the keema nan especially. The gin cocktails are lovely! We also got served by a really lovely young girl who made sure we were all happy. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would definitely return"

"I visited this establishment for a rather late dinner. Fortunately, it operates until late hours, and there were not many customers, so we were seated without any issues. The ambiance of the place was characterized by simplicity and elegance. The staff members were exceptionally courteous and pleasant. Regarding the cuisine, it appeared to be predominantly tailored to British patrons, as is the case with most restaurants in the United Kingdom. As a result, it lacked a certain depth of flavor. Overall, the experience was satisfactory. However, the pricing of the food items was slightly higher than the average. This establishment is suitable for individuals seeking a tranquil environment for relaxation and unwinding, and its extended operating hours are an added advantage. I may consider returning in the future."

"I absolutely love this restaurant every time I visit Poole. It's a small establishment, so make sure to make a reservation in advance to avoid missing out. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is consistently excellent, always freshly prepared and packed with flavor. Booking a table ensures a leisurely dining experience without feeling rushed. I highly suggest trying the Chilli, Garlic and Basil Chicken stir fry, although every dish we've tried there has been fantastic. I'm already looking forward to my next visit."

"Went for an evening meal with friends. The way this restaurant works is all you can eat but made to order. I have been coming to Peaches for many years, and it still does not disappoint. The food is beautiful and served in small portions like Chinese Tapas!! The staff are very friendly and helpful. They offered for our starters to just bring out a selection, which handily took some of the deciding time away for us. I just about managed to shoehorn in a desert (they have a gateau/cheesecake of the day normally). I highly recommend the Eton Mess cheesecake! Already planning to return in 2 weeks time."

"Older waiter/manager rude and unwelcoming. Some of the other waiting staff stressy and abrupt. Didn't feel relaxed with the way they carried on. The female waiting staff were much better than the male waiting staff. Some of the food, including mine was good, some of the other guests food not well-presented and not that good. My partner had venison. Not a good flavour and tough. I expect all meals to be a great standard in a restaurant. That's your business and with something like this should be a passion. As paying customers we should expect a good standard of service and everything to be good quality, not to have sub-standard and rude attitude (from some of you). We are paying your wages. I don't go out and eat that often, so when I do its a shame that the evening is shadowed by this. I won't be going again. I have been to better places that are not so pricey but the all the food was delicious and the staff absolutely lovely. Not so here. By the way, you should get some proper hand paper towel for your dispenser in the bathroom because what was in there was like cheap toilet paper. Oh and don't overbook if you can't handle the numbers. I think your reputation will start to suffer."

"We went to dinner on Christmas Day after paying a high price upfront. Upon arrival, we were informed that the dessert we ordered was not available and were offered a chocolate brownie instead. The roast turkey dinner was disappointing, with poorly cooked potatoes, undercooked parsnips, and bland cauliflower cheese. The salmon dish was dry and had a bitter taste, with a small portion of dauphinois potatoes. Our cheesecake order was initially served without the profiteroles and caramel sauce we requested, but after showing the waitress the menu, the correct dish was brought out. We were surprised to be told by the waitress that the chef had done this "especially" for us, as it was what we had ordered and paid for. The staff never asked us how our meal was, likely because they knew it was not up to standard. To top it off, we had to wait a long time to pay our drinks bill as their machine was not working. Other diners were also voicing complaints, and we met another couple in the parking lot who shared our disappointment. Overall, it was a terrible Christmas Day experience."

"Went for a family lunch as I was told the food and service was excellent! It took the very rude waitress around 20 minutes to acknowledge us and come to take a drinks order. The drinks finally came to our table after her lengthy conversation with another member of the bar staff. To say the least I am truly astounded at her attitude. When our food finally arrived we witnessed the same rude individual approach a tall gentleman having lunch with his two friends and ask him to follow her outside. I personally was talking to the very friendly gentleman because I made a comment about the fish platter looking nice and I said I would get that next time. The gentleman and his friends were telling the kitchen lady how stuffed they were and was complimenting the chef. My family and I were watching the unprofessional waitress through the window as she was clearly being nasty to the tall lovely gentleman, he was very upset when he came back in. He was an absolutely lovely gentleman that was very grateful of the excellent food and portion sizes. Watching what had happened just put all of us off our meal because her behaviour was so disgusting. It has saddened me to witness such poor behaviour and we won’t be going there again."

"In view of this pub is located in rural devon, surrounded by agricultural and has a lot on the menu for the omnivorous, the quality and the range of their vegan options is very welcoming. We often serve this place and have never been disappointed with food or service. If you are a fan of desserts, you are ready to order with your starter and main, as some of the desserts are kept frozen and need time to defroze, but don't let that go, they are worth it. It is very refreshing to see something interesting as sorbet, fruit salad or vegan vanilla ice cream on the dessert menu! We were here so often, we would welcome a variety of elections, but it is all delicious, so we cannot complain! Be warned: it is a very popular pub, I would strongly recommend booking."

"We’re definitely heading back tomorrow! My friend and I were craving Italian food and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant just a short walk from our hotel. Our cravings were more than satisfied. We started with a sensational garlic pizza bread, which was simply fantastic. For the main course, my friend had a delicious creamy salmon dish, while I indulged in a mouthwatering pasta with Italian sausage and salami. To top it off, we enjoyed one of the best desserts I've ever had—the screamberry cheesecake. Everything was fresh, well-balanced, and superb, enhanced by the exceptionally friendly and efficient service. We still have a few days left in the Lake District, and we've already booked a table for another visit!"

"Our lovely daughter arranged surprise afternoon tea for our wedding anniversary. We were told to arrive at Briarsfield before 1pm for a surprise. The receptionist/manager ignored us when we arrived. A waiter finally acknowledged us and took us to our table, he didn’t know what we were booked in for nor did us as it was a surprise. So we ordered off the main menu. When we’d finished our meal and questioned payment a manager appeared, she said they had been waiting for us and the afternoon tea intended for us had been prepared. There were only 5 other people in the restaurant so can’t understand the manager failing to identify us. The option she offered was we could take the prepared afternoon tea with us, cost would come out of staff tips or they could use the food the next day. We chose to take our surprise home with us for later. We received 2 small carrier bags containing some small cakes, 2 scones which were rock hard, jam was in a miniature jar not homemade jam, there were no cream, no homemade sausage rolls, no sandwiches. The food we received was an insult on top of which was a customer service error. Our experience was handled extremely badly and unprofessionally. Our daughter works really hard for little money and it upsets me her kind thoughtful gesture for us was treated like this."

"Whilst in the capital for the fringe, my friend i decided on having some chinese food for lunch..Wish we hadnt!! Came across The Golden Dragon, looked lovely from the outside, very dated inside...Not a great selection on the menu the daily specials board, seems to have been the same daily specials for quite some time, going by some of the photos posted by previous diners... we decided on chicken satay fried rice, sweet n sour chicken boiled rice, portion of prawn crackers, we didnt have any starters, 1 diet coke 1 small glass of water... the food wasnt that great to be honest for the extortionate cost, the satay was tasteless chicken was quite rubbery.. The rice arrived in small silver dishes, was actually very stodgy, like it had been over boiled... we ate what we ate asked for the bill.... £53!!!! the rice wasnt included in the cost of the chicken dishes, seriously must be the dearest rice in scotland, there was literally 3 spoonfuls in each silver pot!! 3 young lads at next table all had rice dishes, no starters a portion of curry sauce chips, also a beer each, they're bill was over £90!!! Certainly wont be rushing back to Golden Dragon next time i'm in Edinburgh!!"

"Wow!!! It has been many years since my last meal at the Brownlow. My late wife Dee and I used to dine here regularly. After her passing, I spent a lot of time working in Sub-Equatorial Africa, providing water to remote areas. Now that I am back in Congleton, some of my neighbors decided to take me out for a birthday lunch, and to my surprise, they chose the Brownlow. I was a bit apprehensive, as the restaurant held so many wonderful memories for me. However, from the moment I walked in, any doubts I had were quickly dispelled. The warm greeting and smile at the reception desk set the tone for the rest of our dining experience. We were promptly seated with menus in hand, and our pre-meal drinks (a perfectly chilled Pinot) arrived with efficiency. The professionalism displayed in serving our meals was commendable and something that is often lacking in other restaurants. The presentation of our dishes was impeccable, and the quality of the food was evident in the clean plates at the end of our meal. I have always believed that people eat with their eyes first, and even those who prioritize presentation would be pleased with the artistry on display here. I will have no problem recommending the Brownlow to my family and friends in the future. The whole team's friendly and welcoming demeanor made for a pleasant dining experience. Special thanks to Simon, the chef, for a job well done - you definitely deserve a raise! I am already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you for a memorable meal. Norman A Dean."

"50th (golden) wedding anniversary! What to do that was extra special? Dilemma sorted: answer? Book Sunday Lunch in the Hotham Room for the immediate family at the Pipe and Glass, no expense spared. We were seven altogether including two grandchildren. None of us had been there before, so it was a bit of a gamble. From start to finish, we knew we had made the right choice. Excellent customer service, kind and friendly without over doing it. There was no rush at any time, and things ran very smoothly in beautiful surroundings. We started in the Chef's Library with pre-lunch drinks, and the canapes which were beyond gorgeous. The Sunday Lunch was splendid. A kings feast! Four of us chose roast sirloin for the main course, and one chose the pork loin. The little ones were beautifully catered for, and ate everything. The deserts were all delightful, causing a bit of an argument as to which one was the best. Five Reasons to Love Chocolate won by a whisker. Many thanks to the chef and kitchen staff for the great food, and to the front of house staff for impeccable customer service to ensure a wonderful, memorable Golden Wedding Anniversary experience."
