"In view of this pub is located in rural devon, surrounded by agricultural and has a lot on the menu for the omnivorous, the quality and the range of their vegan options is very welcoming. We often serve this place and have never been disappointed with food or service. If you are a fan of desserts, you are ready to order with your starter and main, as some of the desserts are kept frozen and need time to defroze, but don't let that go, they are worth it. It is very refreshing to see something interesting as sorbet, fruit salad or vegan vanilla ice cream on the dessert menu! We were here so often, we would welcome a variety of elections, but it is all delicious, so we cannot complain! Be warned: it is a very popular pub, I would strongly recommend booking."

I recently visited a spacious country pub that offers a dedicated four-course vegan menu. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I tried, and the service was exceptional. This review was last updated on June 23, 2021.

The portion sizes are good! Maybe even a bit too large but at least you’re getting your moneys worth. Surprised by the vegan options for dessert, especially for a pub! I tried the snickers cheesecake and it was really good; not too sweet. View menu

very accommodating for vegans with a nice selection of dressed on the vegan menu. we had olives and garlic bread, nut roasts and sweet potatoes, chili and coriander fritters with sweet and new kartoffels and celestial “cheese” cakes and a sickers tea. we will definitely come back.

This restaurant is very vegan-friendly with a wonderful variety of dishes on the plant-based menu. The food was delicious - we enjoyed olives and garlic bread, nut roasts and sweet potatoes, chili and coriander fritters with vegetables and new potatoes, and finished off with a raspberry "cheese" cake and a Snickers tart. Overall, we were impressed and will definitely be returning. View menu

several vegan options, large portion size- great value for money. Staff was beautiful and wanted feedback on vegan options and said their chefs loved creating new vegan dishes more than the regular non- vegan dishes for dessert we had a sickers cheese cake and a berry too, both were delicious, but you had to preorder the dessert as they had to defroze them (due to demand), but that made them no less amazing

We visited this pub for a Sunday lunchtime, and having warned them in advance were offered a vegan menu with 4 starters, 5 mains, and 3 sweets. The options were interesting, and not the unimaginative meals sometimes offered including meringue made with chick-pea water for sweet! The staff were very helpful, and the food very nice and well presented. The pub is a lovely old rural stone-built building on the edge of Dartmoor, with a number of cozy small and medium sized rooms. We really enjoyed our meal there, and hope others will.
