"I am a regular at this restaurant on Monday nights because the upstairs area hosts one of the best jazz clubs in London, managed by Will. They bring top talent to us Londoners, and tonight's performance by the Jo Davies trio was exceptional. Her new album was recorded live here, so I am excited to hear it! The ambiance and acoustics are wonderful, and the staff is very friendly. The beer selection is decent, but I wish they had a stronger bitter ale like Greene King Abbot or London Pride instead of Good Old Boy. We tried the Mahajana IPA, which was better but still not quite what we were looking for. I recommend getting the house wine if you are sharing a bottle with two or more people."

We come to London at least twice a year and stay at the same Airbnb in Tufnell Park. We love the Bull and Gate. But we have discovered The Oxford. They have friendly staff and great food. Good beer selection too.

I had to wait 45 minutes for 4 chicken wings and garlic bread. When I followed up after 20 minutes, I was rudely told to sit down and be quiet. When I complained after 45 minutes, I was considered rude and denied further service. Enter at your own risk.

This place is amazing, I had the Jackfruit Burger, Fries and Onion rings and I tried some of the Margarita pizza and garlic bread. I came back a couple of days later to try the 20 inch Forager vegetarian pizza and it was amazing in both quantity and quality. Food is very good quality

Sat in the late afternoon sunshine outside and had our first Pimms of the year. The stand in landlord was most accommodating and allowed us to supply our own fruit and mint as they had been “wiped out” following a private function the previous evening. What could have been an embarrassing event was turned into something to write about.

As part of the London Jazz Festival this gig tonight was awesome, just perfect in the upstairs room for jazz enthusiasts acoustics and atmosphere spot on! Easily one of the best venues for new talent in London so go now see their website jazz at the oxford tavern . com And the bar downstairs has great wine, well priced at under 20 a bottle

We decided to stop by this restaurant on a whim. We were in the area, tired, hungry, and looking for a place to meet up with the rest of our family for lunch. It was relatively quiet and the staff were friendly. The seating was comfortable and there was even a shelf with games to enjoy. The only issue we encountered was the wait for our food. While our order was taken without any problems, it took over 45 minutes for the food to be served. Despite the slow service, the waitress was very apologetic and made an effort to make things right. We may consider giving this place another try, perhaps in the evening when they have jazz performances.
