"popped in for a beautiful pint looking for local pubs on google. at the moment I went into me, two workers were persecuted separately and asked if I were in order, as I almost made myself up in cash. What are you doing just to foot in I had to tell them both that I wanted to get one pint. I wanted to be persecuted, but I got it off. I ordered my pint (which by the way did not pour the girl properly) and paid and said that the cashier I can sit everywhere and he said yes how there were many places to sit. I went to a comfortable place and halfway away by asking my pint a coworker if I could go to another place, as my table reserved there was no reserve sign and I was a bit confused as I was told that I could sit somewhere. but I gave them the advantage of the doubt and moved. I was separated again and even had a bar employee wondering if everything was in order and if I wanted to order something else, he seemed nice. then asked me the same bar staff from before, who asked me to move earlier, and apparently this was also reserved. I was really unhappy and had to gulp the rest of my pints and go. He was so rude that you said you could sit everywhere, it was me, it was me and became quite aggressive and intimidating. I told him how unhappy I was that this happened twice with me and there was no indication on the table or any staff that the tables were reserved. this is probably the worst customer service I have ever received. the organization and management is a shame. here is a feedback for them: 1. You are a pub, stop pretending to be something imaginative. they serve pints on a bar, so they are a pub and should treat all customers equally. 2. they teach the rod personnel how to pour properly pints. 3. if a table is reserved, they make this clear for the customers so that they know which time the table is reserved and they can move accordingly. 4. customer service is everything. this will have an influence on her business, because mouthpropaganda is very powerful. look at their other reviews there are many others where people have said that the staff is rude."

"Portrait Gallery is consummate location to show off the city with a amazing view down Whitehall,with glass panelling surrounding the entire restaurant you are blown away by the view as soon as you vacate the lift on to restaurant floor. The Portrait restaurant affords you the relaxed setting to have not only a great view but welcomed conversation with your guests, unlike other restaurants here the environment is mellow rather then usual loud atmosphere of diners either clambering to talk to each other or the waiter. The staff are attentive and yet not over bearing, getting that balance of service and eloquence……..the location is another plus not only do you have one of London’s famous galleries downstairs but not a four minute walk are you from Trafalgar Square, were something is always happening.I decided to visit for breakfast having booked through opentable,where my request for a window table was honoured. "A very special restaurant with a fabulous view over Trafalgar Square and way beyond. A great menu with vegetation choices. A good wine list, but the bottles start just under £30.00. I made a mistake (and so did others) of leaving my coat and umbrella in the downstairs cloakroom, which closes before the upstairs (floor three), restaurant! I was told my coat and umbrella would be bought up to the restaurant cloakroom later but sadly this did not happen and it was a bit of a farce trying to retrieve my items at the end of the night! It is a little tricky to find floor three where the restaurant is situated. Basically enter through the main entrance, go up the stairs to the first level, walk all the way to the back of the room and you will see lifts at the end that will take you up to the restaurant. Definitely worth the trip but book first as this place gets busy."

"Disappointing. We've eaten at Bumpkin (Westfield Stratford) previously. It's one of the few places there at which there is a pleasant atmosphere, a comfortable environment, and where the background noise is low enough to allow conversation at normal speech level. The food is unexceptional, but usually good. We were not in any hurry, but on this occasion the service was very slow and, if I thought it likely to be as poor as it was, I would be disinclined to return. I also thought that the cost of our meal was high in relation to the quality."

"We were very surprised when we visited Jam Tree. They had brought in a new menu but not updated the menu out the front of the restaurant OR online. Unfortunately the new menu did not cater well for those trying to eat healthy/ vegetarian or those with food allergies and our group were a little challenged ordering. The décor was quirky and comfortable and staff were friendly (although it was clear some were very new). Drinks were good and well priced, with a great selection of cocktails to order. Overall if we were aware of the new menu we wouldn't have chosen to eat there as it was more suited to large portions/ American style meals, such a shame but lesson learnt."

"We had a wonderful afternoon tea the food was lovely the room and decor was beautiful however although the service was ok we were left alone for long periods of time , we had to ask for additional cups and hot water for the teas we were never asked if everything was ok and if we needed anything the only attention we had was making sure the 2 additional coffees were paid for! We had to ask for take home boxes. And for the box for the cake that was gifted to my Mum overall it was below average sorry"

"Anyone who thinks this is a good Sunday lunch must be a non cook as at £140 for a table of 4 with drinks) was so inferior to my wife's cooking the chef should be embarrassed to serve it. The beef was tough, the roast potatoes tasted like the frozen variety and not proper gravy. Worst of all the vegetables were all served in one bowl between four people so it was impossible to be selective as you could serve up soggy cauliflower cheese which carrots, peas etc. in one scoop. When we complained about the vegetables the chef must have taken exception as they brought out a huge bowl carrots. I did not want to leave a review but as I wrote to Leicester's and received no reply I thought others needed to aware before booking."

"Disappointed. I was in PRETO about two weeks ago on Sunday. This was my last time! I was a regular customer until the last visit...Food was bad, I had to ask waiters about the meat , because they completely forgot about my table. "I should clarify now that I'm actually a vegetarian. We were visiting for a family birthday, everyone else are meat eaters, so they've very much informed this review. The premise is you pay a fixed price, you can order as many sides as you want and then the servers bring the meat on gabbing skewers and carve at the table, you take as much or as little as you want all in the price. There is a lot of meat on offer, pork, chicken, steak...the list goes on. Apparently all well cooked and flavoured. Side dishes range from salads, cheesy dough balls, fries, bean stews. Lots of good veggie stuff, the only problem was the veggie meal is and should include a lasagne, but they didn't have any! Didn't go hungry, but not really the point. Kids menu is good value, for kids up to no matter how much they eat!"

"I have tried to try the piersharing plate available in this march. for £50 they can feed four with and incredible shader with 4 tortes, some caviar (music blossoms), wobble rings, carrots and horses. oh and served with unlimited gravy. the line up was: 1. top roast chicken, speck and snatch 2. 14 hours brat local bark and ale 3. sweet potato, beaded and kale 4. classic lancashire cheese and beetle my favorit was the bark and the ale when the meat in her was ineffective. the bark was rich and made for a decent cake. each cake was absolutely amazing on its own wise, I unfortunately did not get a picture of the sweet potato cake, but I can tell them that it was the most tasty of my opinion after. To be honest, it was hard to decide how each cake was fantastic. Once finished we chose our favourite cake to stay on the menu. I need to check back here and check the regular menu"

"Preto Perfection. Last weekend was our introduction to your wonderful restaurant at Putney, courtesy of our son 's Brazilian partner, and I have to say I have never been so astounded by the natural ambience of all the staff to provide the most amazing dining experience we have ever encountered. Michelin 'starred ' restaurants/Chefs can certainly provide some interesting food but as yet I have not discovered one that has the genuine affection to all customers the moment one walks through the door until you leave and even then still insist in ensuring the visit and experience has been as memorable as it could be, and yes we have dined at some famously named restaurants. Last night was my second experience and I would not have considered it possible to improve on the first but you guys did it. To be greeted by name and dined and entertained as we were is a unique gift you must culture forever and your restaurant 's will always be full, Well done and thank you again to ALL the staff. Just a comment to the couple of people that were 'disappointed with Putney ' then I would also state you must be reviewing the wrong restaurant!"

"Me and my friends are huge fans of Preto in general. We travelled to the Queensway restaurant as our local branch was recently closed. As much as we love the food, the service and overall experience at Queensway was awful. We had missing side orders, waited an awfully long time for our plates, it was impossible to speak to a waiter as no one ever came over to us, even after finishing our meal, nobody came to clear our plates so we could enjoy a few more drinks (we then decided against the drinks as we felt we were being ignored) we were then told we had to pay the 12.5% service charge even though we had 0 amount of positive service. We won’t be visiting Queensway preto again, we will have to find another branch to dine at next time."

"I regret to write this review as i had been a big fan of number unfortunately we shared a beef sharing platter which was the meat was very fatty and the potatoes were dry as if they had been around a while.
