"Visited on a Friday afternoon/evening on a work afternoon out as a large group and was not disappointed! Started with grilled halloumi cheese, no sweet chilli sauce or condiments to go with it but some lettuce salad on the side. Lovely thick pieces of halloumi cooked perfectly and a generous portion for a starter at the usual price of upwards of £3 and closer to £4. Totally worth it and with the pitta bread on the table, chucking a piece in there is a winner for the taste palette. The main event really was impressive, I opted for the £10.90 Lyalena Mixed Grill. Lamb shish, chicken shish and lamb kafta were the main components and were accompanied by rice, chips, side salad and a stunning mayo and chilli side sauce. Considering the very reasonable price, the portion size was more than impressive and realistically could have been a meal for two. If you’re a good eater and like the challenge of battling meat sweats though, it’s more than worth the effort! Located in the heart of City Road in the Welsh capital, you may struggle to find parking but a drive up and down the side streets should prove fruitful eventually. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the city centre though, so not completely off the beaten path. No alcohol is sold there either, so you’re if you’re looking for a drink with your food: it’ll be a soft drink or water. Overall, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the restaurant itself was clean and tidy, which is always a plus. It’s suitable for couples and groups and it’s worth a visit if you’re looking to try somewhere different and take in some authentic Lebanese food."

"Il Bacio Express is a disappointment to those looking for delicious Italian food. There was a time when eating at Il Bacio was a thrilling experience, but that is no longer the case. I ordered a spaghetti bolognese and a bocconcini di pomodoro salad for £11.75, which arrived promptly. However, upon opening the container, I found the spaghetti to be dry and lacking in meat. It seemed as though only a tablespoon of sauce had been added. After tasting it, I was left wondering what had happened to the quality of their food. Unfortunately, it seems that Il Bacio has gone downhill."

"Popped into the Potting Shed for some lunch with my Girlfriend. We ordered the Four Cheese Pizza and the Yorkshire Burger with Blue Cheese. Both arrived in quick time and were cooked to perfection and well seasoned, we also took advantage of the £5 off deal so excellent value for money!! The staff were brilliant too, they were pleasant and attentive and checked a couple of times that everything was ok…. Would really recommend this pub, seems to run like clockwork !!"

"book this place through 5pm.com for a bite before the theater. we were shown on our table, which was in a narrow corner against another with other diners. server produced the menu and despite the 5pm offer of 2 curses with a glass...prosecco for £16.99, it showed that almost every option a addition fee was created. we were appalled to find that our glass of prosecco was a dimble-full (not sure where they found such small glasses). we stared with the minenstrone, which was added more like a dose tomatensuppe with a little veg. we paid extra for the branzino and more for a few riders to accompany this. when the food arrived, the fish was tiny, overcooked and cold and the bed of the Mediterranean veg, on which it was sitting, was mainly red. my daughter ordered a cocktail that never appeared. we asked for the bill, at the time when one of the diners from the neighboring table turned their head to me and said we should disappear here before they bump more into this corner. when the bill arrived, we were appalled to find that our 5pm 2 cursor offer at £16.99 per result was a bill for over £46. warned, people."

"A live vocalist was on when we arrived but was far too loud, making conversation impossible. Food was mediocre and lukewarm, which was surprising as i have had lunch there before, and it has always been good. Scampi and Chips arrived consisting of 5 pieces of scampi, and the chips were more like scraps. We had to order extra chips, which were better. We had the table booked for 3 hours but left as soon as we had eaten. It was a really busy evening, being a Saturday so maybe they were just too busy to cater for a table of 6. All in all, it was a very disappointing evening."

"Maaroni is my local as it is less than a 5-minute walk from me. Not only have I eaten here a countless number of times since it opened, I also get takeaways from here often. Unfortunately, this was the first time I had ever been left feeling very disappointed. To begin with, I was given a bottle of sparkling water with no glass, let alone lemon/ice/straw. Had to ask for a glass I was not going to drink out of a big bottle. It was difficult to explain things to our waitress, especially as we wanted to remove some pizza toppings and add on others; I had to show her the menu with toppings written down so that she could catch the spellings. Moreover, I requested for cacio e pepe, and the waitress confirmed that the chefs would be able to make anything off-menu. I had to explain what the dish was, and showed the waitress the list of ingredients for it. She went back and forth several times to the chef and I, and ultimately said that the kitchen did not have pecorino cheese. I said that that could be substituted for the next best thing, as long as the sauce was creamy, cheesy, buttery and peppery. When the dish arrived, it was a buttery spaghetti with a lump of cheese in the top. At this point, another waitress began to serve our table. Let her know that the cheese should be almost melted in; she took the dish back for it to be re-made which took a long time, by which point we had nearly finished our mains. After our mains we were told that we need to leave within 15 minutes, and we were not given dessert menus nor did we request the bill, it just arrived. I had brought my aunt and uncle to Macaroni for the first time and they were looking forward to dessert. It was highly embarrassing that this option was not even offered, and even more embarrassing that we were rushed off the table. There were 5 of us, 1hr 45mins is not enough time for a relaxed 3-course meal. If the restaurant is unable to honour a 3-course meal for 5 people, they should not confirm the booking."

"Service was not very consistent. Some of the staff where very polite and attentive, others were quite aloof and not aware of their customer needs. The food was fine, nothing to complain about at all with a fairly average menu. The wine was lovely, however overpriced. The atmosphere was a little down and we moved at the end of the meal to a more ‘cosier’ table in the bar area."

"Nice welcoming staff we booked late via The Fork but they still had our reservation waiting with our Yums discount. the food was very nice and well presented, It was a friday night and the restaurant was quiet although the weather had been awful all day so that may have been the reason. its a large building with high ceilings and we found it a bit chilly especially towards the end of the evening. overall a good restaurant."

"we went to the bella for a tasty bite and try our local ice cream place. we usually go to another salon in the south, no names, because I'm not sure if I can put names on this. it is not cheating, at £37 for 2 adults and 2 children, but they are 13 years old and eat like adult. it costs a lot for ice, but it is not just ice. we had the 2 waffels, a chocolate brownie sunflower, and the doughnut thing that they see in the picture, but can not remember it is name, 1 milkshake and a bottle fanta. the portions are large, the ice is delicious and they have a lot to choose from the menu, I was happy to pay for eating and how nice it was. the workers are really nice and friendly, and considering how busy it was, we were served quite quickly. what I would say, this is negatiw an bella if they have to sit in them and order them from the to the table, but not really biggie, but I would like to order from the table. it's the same with other ice salons I was on, though. the only other was how to load it was inside, it sounds so echoey. I don't say a big problem just my thoughts. we will now go back to our local, and then we have others."

"This restaurant is a jack of all trades but master of none. I ordered the penne con pollo and found it to be completely lacking in flavor and character. My friend even commented that the sauce tasted like a strange mix of ketchup and milk. It's clear that the chef has lost their passion for cooking and abandoned the principles of good Italian cuisine. I left feeling cheated and would recommend avoiding this place at all costs."

"We have dined at La Piazetta in Midhurst on several occasions, experiencing varying levels of satisfaction. After our most recent visit, I fear we may not return. We all selected items from the menu, but none of us were pleased with our meals. The appetizers were the only highlight, consisting mainly of prawns with Marie Rose sauce and melons wrapped in prosciutto. My main course, the veal escalope, was dry and tough, similar to what another member of our party ordered. The other main dish featured a heavy fish that was covered in an oddly sweet sauce, which did not work well at all. The desserts were nearly enjoyable, but the portions were excessive, especially the tiramisu. The chocolate cake was decent but nothing memorable. I think this will be our last visit."

"the restaurant is local, but it is quite not descriptive from the outside. it is on the small side, quite basic and in an unattractive parade of shops. yet that besides the restaurants fokus offers good Italian cuisine at a great price. the service was both fast and polite. we shared a large starter of mixed antipasti with plenty of meat, cheese and broth. for our main we chose two pizzas that were both big and packed with toppings (pizzeria chains to shame). our son had meatballs and spaghetti from the children's menu that contains a dessert. the house (red) wein was ok, but there is a decent wine list to choose from. we will definitely go back, it is one of the more authentic Italians in the opposite."

"I recently ordered a platter of mixed meats from this restaurant, expecting a generous portion. However, when we got home and opened the box, we were disappointed to find only a small amount of chicken, 8 pieces of kebab meat, a bit of salad, and nothing else. It seemed like they were trying to shortchange us, but we noticed right away. We called the restaurant immediately, and they said they would bring us another platter. "Booked a table for 5, got there for 4:45. Sat down early. Ordered food at 10 last 5. Food didn’t come out till 5 to 6. A couple came in after us and received a starter each and a main meal each before we even received our main meal (no starters ordered) no one even came up to our table to apologise on the waiting time for the food. My 3 year old started getting very agitated. My meal came and had no chicken strips in the pasta which I asked for, too much chilli was put into the meatball pasta dish, had to ask twice for the bill. Service was shocking Didn’t receive the complete order with missing ingredients I just think there was no senior member of staff in so that then caused these issues."
