"Hi all, For having lived at Boswell court a couple of years in my university days, i can tell you La Porchetta, the smallest of places hidden in the backstreets of Holborn, will not disappoint. This one of three La porchetta restaurants in London is the least famous of all. Not sure it deserves such a non-reputation. More than once La porchetta has saved my night with solid take away pizza. Typically the difference in London pizza is the base. La porchetta seems to have got it right. While their pizza choice is fairly unsurprising, the restaurant sticks to a classic italian base, fresh ingredients and nicely sized pizzas. "“First time here and all I can say it’s that the rib eye steak lives now on my memories” that’s the words of my boyfriend. I came here with my boyfriend for his birthday for the first time because a friend of mine recommended me to go there, she said it was the best Argentinian restaurant that she had been in London and she was not lying. I ordered beef with some mushrooms sauce and potatoes ! It was delicious! . My boyfriend literally asked to the waiter “ I want a massive delicious piece of meat “ and he recommended him the Rib Eye Steak. The point of the meat was just what he wanted, salt, juiciness… he said he loved it. Thank you guys for your service!"

"Lovely food. Lovely staff. Highly recommend the mussels in white wine as your starter, they are fabulous . The price is extremely reasonable and be certain that you won't be waiting between courses. As a regular, I can honestly say that there has only been a single occasion where the main course was not up to the standard expected and the staff were so shocked and apologetic and did everything they could to make it right, including not charging and offering to make a new dish. When I declined, they brought complimentary drinks and every visit since has been wonderful. That was 100 percent an isolated incident and the food and service before and after has been second to none. Couldn't recommend it more. Go, enjoy."

"Yes ! lovely evening , great food so much better than going to a rip off bar /pub food variety good , its hot , tasty and reasonably priced …. would love a little bit more pasta on the plate … a smidge more would be perfect … but I would not want quality to slip as I would stop going ! Went for a 2nd visit last Friday lunch time for a pre Christmas lunch with to good friends … wonderful food , great service and a lovely way to while away the afternoon. So happy to spend my money in a place like this as they deserve every penny I paid . Thank you all for a wonderful afternoon ."

"What a wonder restaurant. Made very special by the lovely Italian lady who was our waitress. She loves the restaurant and her enthusiasm was contagious. The food was the best we have had in a long time. Everything was delicious. WE would recommend this place to anyone and wish that we lived closer so that we could take friends. The decor and music was also special and very laid back. Actually might make an overnight stay in Arundel just so that we can enjoy the food and wine fully without having to drive home it was that good!!!!"

"On the positive side, the food was good and our waiter was very friendly. The negative things have started before we arrived. We got a call that they move our reservation from 19:30 to 19:00 because we are with a toddler, that was already rude and annoying. We sat for 20 minutes from the time we got menus until they took the order and then they told us that they'll do everything quickly as we need to leave in 80 minutes as the table is booked. When we complained, magically they realized that it's another table that was booked and we could stay. Some of the staff were rude and inpatient."

"Went here for dinner last night and it was DELICIOUS!! The waiter we had was so kind and answered all the questions we had! He had a great chat with us too : The owner was also lovely! He had a long conversation with us about where we were from, families and the restaurant. He invited us to watch the comedy show downstairs and people seemed to really be enjoying themselves. Overall a great atmosphere and would definitely come back. Oh, and the food was the BEST pizza I’ve had! Especially the garlic pizza, my family was fighting over the last piece. They gave us some wine on the house as well, even after we tried to say no, they insisted (it was so yum btw . We’d previously been drinking wine whilst we waited for our food so they knew we’d like it. Im from Australia and would fly back to London just to come here again!"

"I and three ex-workers went to the city restaurant for our 3 monthly meet and as all previous meet we were not disappointed about eating, service or price. we had all three courses, none of us ordered the same, we had softdrinks, latte and tee and the bill came only £75. the standard of food and the care it presents on the teller is the first class! at least twice in the week to lunch and I am always happy with my lunch. a nice note is as soon as they go into the door, they are welcomed by all employees and when they leave, they all thank them!"

"Popped into the Potting Shed for some lunch with my Girlfriend. We ordered the Four Cheese Pizza and the Yorkshire Burger with Blue Cheese. Both arrived in quick time and were cooked to perfection and well seasoned, we also took advantage of the £5 off deal so excellent value for money!! "not sure what to say, we were thrilled to come and had emails about food requirements, but the email was missed and we were held responsible for that, I think the personal was overly stressed and thus slightly upset. because the reaction we got when we asked what could be done about no vege option was really like an aggressive shut off strange at the end they had a vegetable option, although at the beginning a whole lot of incredible bad service, if it was easily avoided with service backgrounds themselves, we were all just a bit speechless. the food was wonderful when it finally arrived two hours after we had set ourselves first and we laughed about our faulty towers experience."
