"The staff both bar and waitering staff were friendly and accommodating. Good selection of mains and desserts. Three of our party went for the traditional roast beef Sunday dinner and I had the beetroot and goats cheese salad excellent choices. Generous sized portions, huge Yorkshire puddings and the plates went back empty! The sticky toffee pudding was to die for! Many thanks to all for making our visit to Fenny Compton our ancestral roots) with our Australian cousin a memorable one."

I had a great experience at this charming countryside pub with a very welcoming host. Although I only popped in for a drink, the Sunday lunch menu looked delicious and the prices were very reasonable.

I highly recommend this charming pub. The food is tasty, reasonably priced, and the service is exceptional. Despite not being locals, we would definitely make the Merrie Lion our go-to spot if we were.

We met friends for lunch here as it was half way between us. It was midweek and very quiet. The food was all very good although there were no healthier options for pudding. Service was also very good with friendly and helpful staff.

While traveling back home from the midlands, we stumbled upon this hidden gem of a country pub perfect for a Sunday roast. The food was delicious and the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We will surely be adding this spot to our list of places to revisit!
