"Thank you for the hospitality that I received when visiting your Media City restaurant last Friday for a pre-theatre meal. Food and Menu There is a simple menu that includes all the Italian and American classics that people love to eat. The choices are limited however it does cater for a range of diners from the Meat lover to the Vegetarian. In the Starters there is a Garlic Pizza Bread that is tasty with a great Garlic aroma. There is also American Style Nachos with Jalapeños and all the sauces to dip into. In addition, there is Calamari, Ribs and the Chicken Crunch too. In the Mains there is a great selection of Pizzas with good flavours. There are also additional toppings that you can add on for an extra charge. There is also a decent variety of Steak, Pasta, and Salad dishes for those that fancy them too. For the Burger fan there are some Beef Burgers and a Chicken Fillet one too. There is also a wide variety of sides that are a great addition to your meal from Chips, Sweet Potato Fries to Onion Rings and Garlic Bread too. For those with a sweet tooth then there is a selection of popular Desserts including the Warm Chocolate Brownie, Cheesecake and, Tiramisu that is creamy and indulgent to eat. If you like cold Desserts then there is Ice Cream and the Knicker Bocker Glory. For the Starters the Garlic Pizza Bread was tasty and moorish. It was soft in the middle with a bite on the edges. It was yummy. The Calamari was pleasant to eat but could have been cooked more as it was slightly rubbery to eat. For the Mains the Chicken Fillet Burger was perfectly cooked and it was beautifully presented. It was tasty and heart-warming to eat. The Salad and the Mayonnaise added more flavour. The Sweet Potato Fries were comforting to eat. They were crispy on the outside with soft fluffy Potato on the inside. I love how they are presented in a small pan dish. Cute. The Onion Rings were scrumptious. Their crispy batter was great on the outside with soft Onion pieces inside. It was a heart pleaser. For Dessert the Chocolate Brownie and Ice Cream was heavenly to eat. The Brownie was cooked superbly. It was not hard to eat but it was runny with gooey and indulgent Chocolate. Yum. The Ice Cream was great too as it cut through the richness of the Chocolate adding texture. It was also stunning in presentation in which the Chocolate Brownie is in the middle of the plate with a lovely scoop of Ice Cream on top. Drinks They have a good selection of soft drinks which include all the popular ones to have. There is also a small variety of juices on offer too. However they do not serve non-alcoholic Mocktails. Service The service was good. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and accommodating. She gave us the time to choose our dishes. Her suggestions for food were spot on. It was good that the food came out pretty quickly and it was beautifully presented. Lighting and Access The lighting at this restaurant was pretty bright which allows for an enjoyable meal for most people including those with visual impairments. Entry to this restaurant is at the Holiday Inn Hotel to which there is a small step to enter into the building. Once inside there are stairs and lifts to get to the Mezzazine floor. This is where you will find the restaurant. There are no stairs inside as it is on one level. Furniture The furniture here is brilliant. I love the big tables which are spacious. The chairs are big and are comfortable to sit on. This gives a relaxed ambiance so that you can dine in style. Parking Parking is available at the Quayside Media City UK multi-storey car park (formerly The Lowry). If you are a Blue Badge holder then you will get 4 free hours when stamping your ticket. This takes effect from the time of arrival. Alternatively you can park at the Media City multi-storey which is closer to the venue. Pricing The pricing of the dishes at this restaurant are mid- range. However it is worth visiting once a while especially if the waiters are good, the food is tasty and that it is beautifully presented. If you love to eat Italian and American food within a relaxed atmosphere then head down to your local Marco’s."

"We went to Macellaio RC at Fitzrovia few days ago which I think it was Big mistake! I have been to Macellaio RC at South Kensington and Union Street many times and I love it, especially the South Kensington branch! Great atmosphere, amazing food and reasonable priced. Tried many of their starter, steaks and wine, they are always good. Unfortunately, our experience at the Fitzrovia branch was awful! I was so looking forward to it before going but after our starter, I was so disappointed and didn't even want to finish our meal there. Firstly, it was our mistake to order two glasses of House Red Wine which normally we would have ordered a decent bottle of wine. We were thinking to start with the house wine and order a nicer bottle for the meal, since the house wine was in their happy hour 2-4-1 offer. The House Red was absolutely disgusting, it was worse than cheap pub wine! We don't expect House wine to be good but as a restaurant famous for their steaks, I thought the house wine will be at least drinkable. After a tiny sip to try it we didn't touch the wine for the whole evening. Then our starter came, L'imperiale was the reason I wanted to go to Macellaio that evening. I was so disappointed and sad when I saw it, not only its at least 1/3 smaller than the one at South Kensington but also the quality of the meat was really not good. The tartare and capaccio were so dull, they looked more grey than red. I was so disappointed that I didn't even want our main course but since we have already ordered, we stayed too finish our meal. I was hoping the T-bone would at least make it worthwhile for us to spend our evening there. However, another big disappointment! They put so much salt on the steak that every bite was full of rock salt even though I tried to scrapped aside as much as possible. So we definitely will not go to the Fitzrovia branch again. I would still recommend the South Kensington and Union Street Macellaio RC though."

"In London for the week and enjoyed some especially wonderful meals all around. Le Boudin Blanc yielded mixed experience. Loved the ambience of the restaurant. Very pretty. Cozy. The food and wine was very good. It is not often that one finds Boudin Blanc on a menu, certainly not be on the spring time, and it was a pleasant surprise.. The meal and the presentation was very very nice. My only suggestion would be just a hint more sauce for the Boudin Blanc. Staff was a different animal all together, unfortunately. I arrived for a very early dining reservation – – I was the first one – – only to be met with a warning that they would need the table back by a certain hour – – instead of a welcome, in an empty restaurant. This is not the kind of restaurant where a single diner would otherwise linger with a coffee and an iPad. Service was very attentive until after dessert. And then, I couldn’t get anyone’s attention to bring me either another glass of wine, a coffee, or even the Bill. The sommelier finally came to take care of it. By the time I left, the first floor of the restaurant was only about half full, approximately 10 tables were occupied, With a staff of five, one sommelier, two servers, a busser, someone who looked like the manager, and a female staff member with a long dark braid whose only duty seem to be walking around the floor and doing absolutely nothing. I would have enjoyed a difestif."
