"Certainly one of the best Indian restaurants I've visited. The atmosphere is great, we went on a Saturday night and there was a really good magician who came round the tables for a bit of entertainment. The food was great, a massive selection and many of the dishes on the menu I had never heard of before. Luckily the waiter was very helpful and recommended a few things for us. It wasn't cheap but on Sundays they do an all you can eat offer for £16 which is well worth taking advantage of! Great night, will definitely return!!"

"Ordered a meal from the vegan menu and when it arrived we found lumps of what we thought at first was chicken, so we called up to ask and we were told it’s not chicken it’s cheese, an Indian cheese made with cows milk which is NOT vegan and should not be on their VEGAN menu. We asked for our money back as we could not eat the food to which we were told to just “pick it out and eat the rest” and they refused for a while to refund us any money. Then we were told they would only refund us for part of our order because it was “our own fault” .. our own fault for ordering what we thought was a vegan meal because it was on the vegan menu Do not recommend."

"Amazing food as always, fantastic customer and delivery service. Very kind and polite, takes messages of food into account and prepares as requested. I have disabilities so I truly appreciate, staff's patience when delivering food. I feel guilty for constantly ordering from Balti Raj, I just can't stop. The food quality is amazing and honestly affordable. I have bought food from other restaurants, where the portion is just about enough for one person and everything is so expensive, that we have ended up going without food, at times. However, I have been grateful that we are getting something to eat and because of my grateful attitude. I have been blessed to remember about Balti Raj and we have been eating well since ordering from Balti Raj, Alhamdulillah. "I booked the restaurant from looking at the reviews and I felt that it was worth a go. From the outside I wasn’t sure. It looked a little shall we say, dated, but upon entering the restaurant the décor was beautiful. We were seated and throughout the service was adequate. The pakora wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but still nice. The curry however was tasty. The chicken was incredibly tender. Reasonably priced. Worth the money I would say. However the toilets would do with a face lift. Over all would say it was good and that I would go back"

"Hi we ordered a takeaway legally as per covid ! We live only an 8 minute drive away, we were told 20 minutes for collection and we arrived in good time to no que and left for home at around 20 minutes later ! We ordered chicken pakora which was cold ! A portion of chicken tikka masala and it was grainy almost as though the yogurt wasn’t fresh as the sauce looked sandy and was slightly gritty in texture, we also ordered a chicken Korma and the sauce was the same but also spicy (which Korma isn’t supposed to be). With both mains we ordered fried pilau rice which was also cold but even worse when you opened the containers the rice came out in rectangular lumps and it didn’t want to separate and clumped together. The rice was definitely reheated from probably the day before as we ordered our meal at 5.30pm ish. I ordered from this shop on the TripAdvisor ratings and having ordered a starter and 2 main courses if 1 thing was going to be disappointing then fair enough but for the whole meal to be **** then I suggest the owners have had a big hand in the ratings for their establishment. I also at the point of ordering our meal made a point of telling the guy on the phone that this was the 1st time I had ordered from them as their ratings looked great. I will definitely not be spending my hard earned cash in this establishment again disappointed is an understatement !"

"Hi, We have been taking turns with Aberdeen takeaways during lockdown to support local. We have ordered times from Curry Mount via their app and taking the set menu was ok for the first orders however we were very disappointed on the which was selected off the menu, cant email them and no pickup on phone so had to leave a review here. All the dishes except for the Poppadum's and salad were not cooked on the day. The rice was dry and rattling in the box not soft and moist. All chicken dishes in starters and mains were all tough and seemed like they were reheated and put in the sauce. As I cant get hold of them to discuss this I doubt we will be returning."

"I've moved around several eastern cuisine restaurants in the area but overall zeera has them beat!!The food is first class in both Eastern and English dishes..all made to order both on and off menu!!The staff are most polite and are willing to vary the menu to your preference.. As a bonus you can take in your own drinks of both types although they stock a variety of soft drinks..Car parking is easy as they have use of a huge car park free of charge including disabled spaces!!"

"i would really advise strongly against using the services of this restaurant .ive used them three times and never again. im an experienced waiter of many years standing and have never and would never give such bad service to a customer or i wouldnt have a job.my first time ordering a received a call after some time asking to come down to a car to pick up my food.i informed the driver to ring my bell(i live in a house)and bring my food to me.he then buzzed my bell and came up the stairs huffing and puffing as if i was putting him out.he obviously doesn't understand what delivery means.he was so miserable i was really worried that my food could have been maliciously interfered with.i went through the same experience twice more although i always tipped him.i went to order again and was told we dont deliver to you anymore .use uber eats and the phone was dropped twice on me.this is so shocking im enraged and words fail me that this kind of attitude happens in the uk.if your driver doesent want to deliver get on that does want to.these points have already been covered in many other reviews,very negative experience and just generally very unpleasant.thank god there many other restaurants in the area ,so i dont have to give support to such unprofessional outfits"

"Have wanted to try this takeaway for a couple of years due to good reviews and a love of spicy food. So finally ordered online last night. Went for the set meal for two consisting of Poppadoms and chutney, two pakoras, salad, two mains with...rice and nan. Had the Himalayan Lamb and Hot Khathmandu Chicken for mains and it was delicious. Everything was cooked really well. Normally with a takeaway you have to re-heat the mains if you eat the starter separately but not in this case, it was all piping hot. Only very slight criticism was too much rice and a plain nan instead of peshwari or keema, but overall an excellent meal. Well worth a try."

The staff are very friendly and the prices are reasonable for a city center location, although they have increased recently. The restaurant recently relocated to a larger space with more seating. I would typically give it 4 stars, but my last meal was overly salty and had too much oil, which was disappointing as they are usually good. I will still give it another try and hopefully it was just a one-time issue."
