"Awful! Embarrassed we took friends here!! We were in Edinburgh for the weekend and thought we would come to S &L for breakfast after having good experiences prior at other locations, firstly the Omni centre one was not open so In the pouring rain we...trecked to George Street it was around am the guy on the door said to take a seat and order on the app which is where it all went wrong! We later learnt the guy on the door with no idea what was doing in around him was the “manager” or perhaps duty manager, there was no breakfast menu and only our table of plus one other, we decided to stay and orders x bbq chicken and cheese melts plus a fish baguette,along with teas and coffees minutes passed, said manager still on the desk at the door oblivious that nobody had not even been to our table, minutes later a waitress brought cutlery then a few minutes later the food, the fish sandwich looked grey, just a baguette with fish in no garnish and cold fries, the chicken bacon and cheese melts came out clap cold, chips cold baguettes stone cold, un melted cheese and cold chicken how could this even have been sent out? Surely your serving staff know their food specs???? Then we were brought a jug of water when we asked about teas and coffees we were told the machine was broken, why did nobody approach us nearing minutes come and tell us this? I tell you why…. Just look at the reviews on this site it clearly shows who ever is running this place has no idea to what a good customer experience is! Unhappy with our cold uncooked meals I asked to speak with a manager and got pointed to the young lad on the door, we got a refund no quibble but how much money are you loosing to experiences like this? Not happy and will be taking this further"
