"I went to Albert’s castlefield yesterday, ordered the chicken. It came out incredibly dry and my friend ordered chips which weren’t cooked and were anaemic. No one came to our table to ask how the food was, only when we’d finished. I didn’t eat any of the chicken, I put some on my friends plate for her to try and she agreed. We spoke to a waitress at the end and she said ‘so sorry about that, is there anything you would like instead’ I said yes please il just have a dessert, sticky toffee pudding which was actually nice. When the bill came they’d put all the food on! I ended up speaking to what I’m guessing was the manager who said, I didn’t tell anyone at the time this was because no one came to the table to ask! she also stated I’d eaten my chicken, which me and my friend both stated to her I ate none of it! I put it on my friends plate for her to try which was evident on her plate. Eventually the manager took the dessert off the bill. I’ve been before and it’s never been like this such a shame. I was here few weeks ago and it was lovely. Completely disappointing"

"first we came in and it was really ugly. there were quiet music and the furniture was really nice. next we ordered, but our waitress was a bit grumpy. but our food came in 14 minutes. it is like almost food restaurant. the Canadian breakfast was really good and the pancakes were huge and delicious. it is a really good restaurant and some of the waiters are really polite. this is a definite 4-star restaurant I just turned 12"

"I ordered delivery from this restaurant at midday today. The food did not arrive until 2.40pm. The chicken in the chicken burgers was not sufficient to fill the buns. They made a mistake with the toastie filling, so I called them and they said they would send a replacement. At 3.20pm, the manager called my house and initially said the replacement was on its way. However, he then became aggressive towards my partner, raising his voice and interrupting him. He blamed everything but his own business for the delay and errors, even blaming us despite living within the delivery area and paying £3 for delivery. It is now 4.55pm and the replacement toastie still has not arrived. I paid for something I never received and received abusive behavior from the owner. I will not be returning to this place as the customer service is terrible. I am now uncomfortable knowing that this angry man has my phone number and address."

"Visited on a whim, and Indian food is something I do enjoy. Sat downstairs and my order was taken right away. Poppadoms and a variety of sauces were brought and I nibbled whilst waiting for the meal I ordered. It only took minutes and was delivered, piping hot. It was fabulous, really well cooked and very tasty. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for fast and friendly service and a lovely meal. It was, I feel, a tad pricy, the rice was separate, and although they do meal deals, this was outwith the times. However, it is in St.Andrews so that seems to be on par with Edinburgh pricing. Lovely meal though."

"Disappointingly average food and a confused main menu choices on a Sunday of roast dinners one last pink beef at 5pm that wasn't pink it was well done) and sandwiches and hot roast sandwiches with chips, special was lobster and was quite expensive for the quality. Also a bit eclectic in the interior design back to the 80's in the conservatory and a different style in the main room with a hotch potch of accessories in the mix. Overall just OK, better pubs nearby for a Sunday with friends."

"I have booked for my sonny birthday cupcakes for the 21st april. ali was by far the most reasonable citation I had, and she was very recommended by some of my friends. I have a very short description of just want rugby style cupcakes and ali did the rest. They were super delicious cakes and the icing was not too much as some cupcakes can be. I would highly recommend alis cake and will definitely come back in the future to the birthday cake. great thanks. my boy loved her."

This cafe has changed management in recent months as a result the food service just isn't what it used to be sadly. The food quality has taken a down hill turn and the lack of English with the waitress left me with food I didn't order. I miss the previous owners. I won't be returning unfortunately. Shame."

"Hi guys, this place isn't too bad, there must be something good, as it was busy when visiting, and my friend did all the ordering, I still do not know what the name of the dish that I had but I'll share a picture of it, but anyway, had the so-called Mexican samosas, nice and crunchy served with a medium sauce, the mains were a piece of chicken breast fried drowning in a gravy kinda sauce, the chicken was tender, not tried the rest of the menu, my dish was OK but not WOW or something entirely different."

"I stayed at the International Hotel in Frimley and had pre-booked breakfast for £12. I was advised to go down to the Frimley city center to look for better offers. With the help of Google, I ended up at Cafe Deli. I ordered 3 omelettes with beans, 2 hash browns, and tomatoes for £6.50. The coffee and bottled water were also good. "Took my mrs and 2 kids here for a sunday lunch, admittedly this is a curry place but they do say they did a Sunday Lunch on the menu so thought why not. Staff friendly, no issues here. However, the music was weirdly r ..b after r b no issues with r b but its Sunday afternoon and its a restaurant?? and it was properly loud to the point i was having to raise my voice for my family to hear me (and I love music). They also played a song with all sorts of swearing and sexual references, really not what we want with 5 and 3 year old? Thankfully about half way through they must have noticed as it got turned off. Just struck me as though it was an employee playing a list of all their favourite songs and stuff the customers? The most disappointing thing however was the food. We ordered a lamb dinner. I am not being funny, I am not entirely sure we got lamb, it really didn't taste like any lamb I have ever had. Chewy, fully of fat, quite frankly, disgusting. I left half my plate. They gave us a mini jug each of gravy which was about enough to put on a saucer of food let alone a plate. We then got charged £45 which was not near what the menu prices stated (they state £6.99 for a lamb dinner), by this time we just wanted to get out so paid and will not be returning."

"this place is brilliant! the personal is really friendly and made some fantastic cocktails to our preferences. the cocktails were simply the best we ever had the food was delicious and well presented. it has a really good pulsating atmosphere. "Absolutely love this pub, we have just bought a lodge in the area and luckily found this gem. We eat here for Sunday lunch and cannot fault it. "Haven't been here for a while, so I thought I would give it another go. Again this little gem satisfied my hunger craving. As you walk in you get a good feeling as it is clean and welcoming. Tonight I went for the lamb patty wrap, peri peri chips, coleslaw and a drink. The lamb patty was a tasty delight, it had a bit of spice and heat to it but not too overpowering and it was a delicious wrap. I had the peri peri spice with mine but you can choose your own flavouring to go with the patty. The chips were cooked well with a sprinkling of peri peri shake, again well seasoned. If you tag yourself into the place you can receive free rice, chicken wings or chicken strips. I went for the buffalo chicken strips and they were again a taste sensation. The staff were friendly and welcoming which is always a good sign If you are ever at the bottom of the high street and are peckish then this is the place to go .. recommended"

"This is NOT a review about quality of food. Have eaten here a few times and the standard is usually high. I don’t know if they have new owners but the menu choices now are VERY INFLEXIBLE. One of our party of three only wanted a small breakfast. IE One piece of bacon, one egg etc. All your items on the main menu are TWO of everything. Your offer of a 4 or 5 item breakfasts are nonsense as it’s two of everything. You lost sales today due to your inflexibility. Tried to add 1 slice of bacon to some egg on toast but told its £2.15. Because you only sell bacon in 2’s !! In my opinion you are excluding some diners with your menu policy. Be interesting to see if you listen and learn. Are the owners not aware in this day and age ALL trade is vital. The customer is king but You refused to sell us a small breakfast ??"

"this was our first time at Reid’s. eating was really nice, steak was slightly underboiled (for medium rare, but less rare). my cocktail came after our starters arrived. I had to ask twice for the cocktail. the service was really poor, had to ask twice for the drink. when our head arrived, they forgot the garlic bread, so we had to ask and also had to ask for steak knives. the waiter didn't seem really interested. there were 3 large groups, however, so that we gave them the advantage of the doubt. not sure we're coming back."
