"DO NOT GO HERE! Service was ultra slow and staff do not appear care about their customers. Had a table booked but we were still made to wait with alongside those who had no bookings. After being seated, took ages for order to be taken done by memory rather than written so got one of the drinks wrong. Starters arrived after 40 minutes and were tepid rather than hot after another 45 min wait no mains so we questioned our waitress who instead of reporting back to us as to where our order was, proceeded to chat to fellow members of staff. After asking a second time, we were told that they did not know how long the wait would be. It appeared that the staff were prioritising take away orders. As we had no idea how long it would be until we would get our mains, we decamped to the opposition and vowed never to return to this restaurant again. PS The next restaurant seated us immediately, took our order promptly and served it within a very acceptable timeframe. Looking forward to Zizzi Kingston's response to this appalling customer service"

"We had booked for a table at 6pm and we were sat to our table promptly. Unfortunately we were then told that our food would be a 40 minute wait. We were told that the 40 minute wait was due to a fault with the pizza oven- we completely understood this. Our issues are not with the late food arrival but more with the cleanliness of the establishment and the attitude of the wait staff. Once we were sat, we realised that our table was not cleaned and had dirt and crumbs left over it. When we came to order our drinks we were met with an incredibly rude waitress who leant on the side of our booth and did not smile once. After enquiring about the gluten free menu (which was different to the gluten free menu on the website) we were left with minimal answers as to what was gluten free and what was not. The dishes arrived not as specified in the menu and we felt very let down by the food. Giving this was my parents 50th wedding anniversary I feel very let down by Zizi’s and I hope they can do better. I would hope for some sort of compensation, however I do t think this will happen. Also the lavatories were not up to any cleaning standard. They smelt rotten. After coming to Zizi’s for many years I did not expect this- especially for my parents 50th wedding anniversary, which also coincides with my fathers birthday. I feel so so let down and upset by this. Thank you."

"We arrived in the restaurant and were seated at our table. The room was extremely cold, so much so none of our party of 7 could take their coats off. The waitress informed us the heating was broken and had been so for the last week. The waitress took our drinks order and left to sort it. She returned within a few minutes to inform us they only had enough wine for one small glass of wine for our party. Not the best start to our Christmas celebrations. The manager came over to inform is that there was nothing he could do about the heating as the company were waiting for a part and he wasn 't allowed to pre-warn customers or buy portable heaters. I was so annoyed that we were not told of this situation prior to our visit. We had to keep our coats on throughout the meal and had to eat our food extremely quickly before the food went cold. The evening was not enjoyable and spoilt our friends get-together, which was a shame as some of our party had travelled from Wales for it. We we not offered even a free hot drink and think they really need to sort out their 'Customer Service ' skills, after all, without customers they have no business to run. I would REALLY AVOID a visit to this restaurant any time soon."

"Thoroughly enjoyed a two course lunch with small bottles of Prosecco.. perfect for an early Christmas celebration. Shame there was no Christmas menu for diners other than parties, esp on the last week leading up to Christmas. And, the background music was a little too loud for easy conversation.. it should be at a level to provide atmosphere, not where we had to raise our voices to be heard.. it’s a youth thing!! The seafood linguine was absolutely delicious.. we’ll be back. Merry Christmas!"

"We walked in to Zizzi to get lunch on a rainy Sunday, as everywhere else in town was so busy. We were glad they let us sit upstairs as they were busy. The staff were efficient taking our order and getting drinks but when the starter came the pizza dough was raw in the middle. At first I thought it was might be the 'melting mozzarella and garlic ' but it was just lots of raw dough! I sent it back and received another one which was cooked but had very little mozzarella or garlic flavour. The pasta main was supposed to have crispy cheese and sage on the top but there wasn 't any. There was no sslt or black pepper on any of the tables either. They had run out of a coiple of deserts and the coffee machine was not working. The free wifi didnt work either and the 4g signal for our phones was dropping in and out. it wasn 't a great visit but at lwast we got out of the pouring rain!"

"Struggled to find a restaurant for Mother 's day (left it a little late as usual). Managed to get a table for 5 at Zizzi 's in Maidstone. Service was fantastic from the minute we walked in, and continued in that vein throughout. The food was of a very high standard for a franchise , and the overall family dining experience was perfect. Will definitely eat here again."

"We decided to come here for dinner after having lunch last year. I’m not sure why we waited so long as it was lovely. I can’t fault the food at all, our steaks were cooked to perfection! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was down to service, we were in a side room and the staff only really came in when they were delivering food. "Had it not been for the promotional videos by James May we would never have known about The Royal Oak. The positives. Good size car park. (Lane leading to is a bit narrow for those with Sunday funday cars. Nice pub, atmosphere and very helpful, friendly staff. The food served for both evening meal and breakfast was very good. Eating in the oak room is very pleasant. The bed in our room, excellent. The rainfall shower and the hot water heating excellent. The negatives. First impressions of the accommodation is a very worn stair carpet and walls scuffed from people dragging bags. A narrow cluttered passageway that seems to be the office? Our room and en-suite wasn't clean. We were disturbed by other guests, dogs, and noisy bathroom extraction fans. This is not the fault of The Royal Oak or the owners, but it did affect the quality of our stay and sleep. The breakfast experience is poor. The food itself is fine, but the overall experience not so much. If nearby again we would visit for a drink and a meal, but not to stay. The accommodation is not good value for money, the bar and restaurant are reasonably priced."

"Must have been stuck in traffic next to this for long enough for Google to think I'd been in for a bite to eat! It was actually over a year ago we visited here, as a group, we were really well looked after and everyone's order was spot on with no issues (there were 18ish of us so that is not always a given). Really nice atmosphere, staff friendly and helpful, available without hovering. I had a Calzone, was cooked perfectly, the filling was nice but found it a little on the bland side overall. Was reasonably well priced if you compare prices to current takeaway restaurant prices where the quality is far inferior. Keep looking for an opportunity to go back."

"Dear Zebrano Soho Management, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your establishment on [01/06/2024]. I had reserved a table in advance to watch the Champions League match and paid for the reservation. Unfortunately, my visit was marred by several issues that I believe need to be addressed. 1. Seating Arrangement and Audio Issues : Despite my advance reservation, I was seated right next to the projector screen. The overhead projector was on maximum volume, which made the experience quite uncomfortable. 2. Immediate Charges for Drinks : When I ordered drinks for myself and my partner, we were charged immediately. We ordered a few more drinks throughout the night, and each time we were required to pay on the spot, which was inconvenient. 3. Food Quality : I ordered chicken wings, which were served completely cold and were inedible. This was very disappointing and unacceptable for the quality I expect from Zebrano Soho. 4. Billing Issues : At the end of the night, we were presented with a bill that included charges for all the drinks, despite having already paid for them throughout the evening. When I proved through my online banking that everything had been paid, no apology was offered for the mistake. Overall, my experience was far below the standards I expected. "What an amazing meal we had! From start to finish, was so good! Front of house, guy was so polite and welcoming. Our table was awesome, it was my partners 40th birthday. Went for the Chateaubriand with a bottle of Primitivo red wine. Honestly, the best steak I've ever had. "Was so excited to visit here having heard so much about how great it is. But unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype I’ve seen..we pre booked for 5pm arrived at 4:50 and the place was closed ..so wandered around for 10 mins then went back..it wasn’t like we expected at all not very welcoming and the place was freezing cold ..people sat with coats on! It reminded me of a canteen rather than a restaurant Service was good but food was no better than I can get from my local takeaway. No warmers were used under the food like in other Chinese I’ve been to in the past so we didn’t finish our mains as they went cold before we could eat them. The gluten free options were good (I had no reaction) we had the set meal..could have done without the salt and pepper chips..they don’t really say Chinese restaurant to me. All in all..not somewhere we will be going again. Especially when there are so many other gf places nearby."
