"Designed like an American restaurant with a mix of booths and tables but it wasn’t squashed. The waitress was friendly, professional and helpful. The music wasn’t so loud you couldn’t hear each other and you didn’t feel rushed to finish like some places. The food was really good and the portions were sensible. One of our party had a steak which was over done but when mentioned to the waitress she was very apologetic and reduced the bill to compensate. We all had a great time and left very happy with the service and the food on the whole. I would definitely go back just for lunch or dinner with friends."

"Popped in today before the cinema decided to try it due to offer for being Unlimited Card holders. Despite being local for many years, we had never visited and were not sure what to expect, but I am pleased to say it was a really enjoyable visit. I had the American Melt (chicken schnitzel) and my partner had a cheese and bacon burger. The food was tasty, well presented, good portion size and fresh tasting. The decor of the restaurant is very well done, really pleasant surroundings and ambience. The service was also excellent. Dani hosted us on our way in, and we were also served by a fellow with a beard, who I think I was a member of Management. Their interactions were sincere, warm and we also had a good chat at the end about our perceptions as first time visitors, and he clearly cared greatly about the business and delivering a good experience. "As someone who is lactose intolerant, I often face challenges when dining out; however, the staff here was incredibly accommodating. Instead of rolling their eyes at my request for lactose-free options, the server quickly brought me an adjusted menu that catered to my needs. For just £10, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, complete with hot drinks, and we added some toasts as well. Just a small note: when we arrived at 8:50 AM, the place wasn’t open yet. Despite that, I definitely plan to return for another fantastic breakfast!"

"Dine at Zack’s fairly often so know what to expect. Christmas time so bit busier didn’t seem a problem and staff were bubbly and friendly. There was a mix up with our orders though and two of five of us ended up with wrong type of potatoes. One got replacement pots on the house, I made do with the wedges that I hadn’t ordered. Otherwise fine until the end when the waitress (not the same one who’s served earlier) clearly wanted to get us out so she could go home!"

"The staff were incredibly friendly, but unfortunately, they didn't seem very organized. I requested my salad with dressing on the side, but it arrived already dressed. As for my main course, the salmon was bland and mushy, and the rice was overcooked and clumpy. The supposed creole chicken had no discernible flavor. My partner wasn't very impressed with their burger either, describing it as just okay. Our vegetarian friend ordered a salad and had a similar experience, finding it lacking in flavor."

"A group of seven who pre ordered ate here last night. The place had a nice atmosphere and great decor. Not particularly busy for a Friday night. The food was tasty and portions fairly generous. The presentation of the food was not great. Its is a pricey place to visit but not bad if you manage to get a deal. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately our bill was wrong we were charged for meals we hadn't had. The error was rectified but it did take a fair while to sort! I will return but not if I had to pay full price."

"We went to FireJacks the other day before going to the cinema, As it happened we arrived earlier than the time the table was booked for, We went inwere greeted by a nice young lady who had a ready smile,said no problems then let us choose a table which was great. We sat down and checked out the drinks menu I had a delicous beer which had a goose on the pump handle, the beer was refreshing and tasty, we then went on to order our main courses which were both hot and delicous, I had the Shrimps which were lovelyfresh, we then went onto our mains which were also amazing, I had a firejacks grill which had chicken wings,shrimps,pork ribs,a redslaw a side of chips which was delicous, they have a wide range of sauces to choose from to compliment your food. we then went onto have puddings which were fantastic. The only downside was my fiancee wanted some Thousand island or seafood sauce neither were available"

"Came with big family party for my birthday. Extremely disappointed, starters were ok but all came at different times, had to ask a waitress where one was as everyone else had finished theirs and she just looked absolutely clueless as to why we were talking to her. New waiter didn’t even know what dishes he was bringing out and looked at us to answer for him, fair enough he’s new but come on, train your staff the basics. Didn’t get free bottle of wine even though we ordered tapas. One blonde girl walking around just playing with her hair and we didn’t understand the point in her being there, she didn’t do a thing all night, she just looked like she’d got lost. We didn’t get asked if we wanted a drink the whole night, had to keep asking where our mains were, an hour and 45 minutes later they arrived and my ‘jerk’ chicken burger was so bad, the bread sopping wet and falling to bits and the chicken was just plain chicken breast with none of the **** cut off it and slightly seasoned. the ‘manager’ said this was cause the chef had put ‘loads of sauce on it’ but there was no sauce at all, bone dry chicken, didn’t put any spicy sauce in like I asked and when I requested it they brought me a squeezey bottle to do it myself. Cajun chips came plain and when we told them they just sprinkled some Cajun seasoning just on the top, meat was all fatty and sparse on the bbq combo dish, boneless chicken wings were just chicken tenders!!?? The ribs had no meat on at all literally just bone, curry was cold and plain with no flavour to it at all. Everything bang average, staff unbelievably immature, very badly trained with no customer service skills or communication skills. The managers response when we told him all this was ‘I can only apologise’ so we had to request for money to be knocked off our bill, which they did- fair enough but we had to really push for this. Feels like they hire very young staff and don’t bother training them. Honestly a very, very poor experience and would never go back or recommend to anyone. Don’t ignore the bad reviews they’re all very accurate. The only member of staff I appreciated tonight was the girl with the dark hair who first took our order, she was the only one with any customer service skill or any sense."

"We recently dined at Newcastle Bloom and had a fantastic experience. It's a great spot for a girls' lunch with very attentive staff. I must mention the chef, as his creations were superb and the food was excellent. The only downside was that smokers tend to congregate near the door, which draws the smell back inside. "Pleasantly surprised! (if you can 't be bothered reading it all please read the end bit about service) Went for our Meerkat Meals 2 for 1 this evening, had the pork salad, fish and chips, bubble and squeak cakes, sweet potato croquettes, side veg and some of the sausages in the 'while you wait ' section of the menu. All that, with very generous portion sizes and only the mains actually on 2 for 1 (Meerkat Meals only covers starters and mains) AND 2 medium glasses of red for £35 is incredible value. I didn 't expect amazing kind of flavour for that price but actually, all was jolly tasty. I would suggest some lime juice and chilli in the pork salad dressing to liven it up a bit as it 's a bit sweet but was perfect for my partner. The best bit however was the service. It 's a sad state of affairs dining in the UK at present where I have grown not to expect a high standard of service outside of a table cloth and silverware setting. However, every member of staff at Joe 's gave a breath of fresh air with their upbeat, caring and attentive approach. Just enough to feel checked in on, with a little bit extra that didn 't encroach on our dining experience. Very good job and thank you to the team, we 'll no doubt be coming back."
