"A golden gem as you commute from Newry to Donegal in the centre of Aughnacloy. Our party of 4 dined at this superb restaurant on Saturday. The meet n greet was wonderful. Friendly staff who were more than happy to accommodate us. We were seated promptly in a busy environment and drinks provided as we browsed a menu fit for any palet. Food arrived on piping hot plates. A range of fresh, well presented cuisine! Excellent quality, attentive staff and you can pay Euro for Pound if that suits you. Salleys is so perfect that we decided not to dine in Donegal, rather give Salleys a second visit. We had a combo starter plated for 2 but 4 of us tucked in and it was delicious with more than enough food. We had a variation of mains different from our Saturday visit. The Beef n Bird and Chicken Stack is simply delicious and highly recommended! We finished our meal sharing two melody of deserts. They were so tasty! Staff were superb again? Very attentive and accommodating! The place was buzzing and the ambience was great! This restaurant is so well run! Plates are plentiful and the bill is easy on the pocket. We all would have no hesitation in recommending Salleys to anyone passing through Aughnacloy because we will certainly be making a return visit! This place really is a GOLDEN GEM!"

"Avoid this restaurant at all costs. It is incredibly difficult to secure a table here. However, the overall experience is fantastic. The food is delicious, the staff is amazing, and the bar is top-notch. This is without a doubt the best spot for dining in the area."

"Having lived here for years and tried all the cafes and casual restaurants in the Holme Valley this is honestly the best. Imaginative and varied food, friendly and attentive staff including some youngsters, who I am glad to see working, who were professional, careful, accurate and pleasant. My salad nicoise with generous seared tuna steaks was less than £9 and given the prices charged at other places in the area for pizza, pasta and sandwiches with cheap ingredients, this place is extremely good value. Delicious deserts made on the premises, no cheating tray bakes bought in. Cider and apple juice from their press. Garden seating. Inside, partly outside. My new go to lunch out. If I only had one negative it'd be that I'd love to take my children here after school, but along with the other cafes and garden centres etc, it seems to close at 4 :0("

"Came to this bar last year and still the same smell lingering in the pub and bar. Only way to put it politely is drainage and number.2 smell. we ordered last time because we were outside but didn’t order this time because there was no way i could eat with the smell being inside. shame because the food was nice last time and wanted to come back to sit outside but due to weather we couldn’t. Cannot understand how we’ve came a year later and there’s been no change to the smell. granted the smell is worse when the toilet door is opened but it lingers for a long time once opened and it’s not even the entrance to the toilet, it leads to a corridor!.I overheard overs saying the same thing so i kno it’s not just a one time occurrence."

"bodean is the only place in london that I don't like to visit days per week for their diablo sauce wings. I also tried other dishes, but the wings are the best. I was introduced by a colleague in my last trip to london and brought almost every night to dinner. to give the inconvenient understanding, diablo sauce is this quite spicy but very tasty sauce. it will sweat you and maybe be too sharp for some. but for me I would bring my diablo wings and an extra cup diablo sauce to dive. in my opinion, you could serve a shoe in this sauce, and it would taste good. Apart from the wings I had her baby-back ribs and beef burnt ends. a great place to eat, and I will be visited every time I am in london"

"We are a family group of 4 adults, and have visited many times whilst on holiday, and on every occasion we were very pleased with both the food and the service we were given, pleasant and accommodating staff at all times. Covid times hit hard and closed down the Courtyard. In 2021, we visited twice in that year, it was closed or had door vandalized. Now coming to our recent visit this year in September, hooray it was open. We sat down, looked at the menu, inflation had hit the prices, but not a problem, as we were used to their food and service we ordered and looked forward to our meals How disappointing was the small portion of food we received, poor feeble excuses for why our food took so long, people arriving after us got served first. Our order did not come out as what was written on the menu, which resulted in another feeble excuse from a member of staff. The place was looking a bit of a dump to how remembered it before. This was an establishment worthy of its past great reputation. It has been regretful that I have made this review, it is a sad shame. I know that a lot may disagree with my review, but maybe they got a better service."

"Fantastic eaterie. Stopped here on route south to north Wales. The food was cooked fresh and well presented. We had the normal and veggie breakfasts and they were terrific. We also had our cocker spaniel with us and he was made to feel at home. Staff were friendly. Establishment clean and welcoming. Lots of lovely home made cakes and plenty of seating on the main floor and upstairs. Could not fault it. Don't look anywhere else and waste your time go here for a snack, brunch, coffee, cup of tea or a cake. Can't recommend it highly enough."
"After being a regular customer for 18.mths and leaving a number of positive reviews, i am since disgusted by their appalling customer service. The previous delivery driver always delivered to my gate successfully. Last fri, the new driver makes no attempt to deliver to the gate or ring the intercom of my flat. He instead leaves the order under a bucket on the nearby main road to go cold. The order sits for 25 mins under the bucket before i am informed by the takeaway (after my 3rd call and 90 mins wait) that my flat is ' really difficult to find '. They then proceed to lie advising that the order will be refunded back to my card..no refund provided after 6 days... and then argues with me that it is somehow my fault.. and that i should have walked to their curry house to return it if i wanted a refund. Incompotence at its finest... having since visited Spice Tandoori.. i ve realised just how average Curry leafs food is ... and how undeniably contemptuous they are. Worth avoiding...there are lots of far more professional curry houses in Hove."

"My husband and I were looking for a quick breakfast spot in the neighborhood and found this gem. Tiny spot with limited seating, but we were able to snag a seat. We both had the avocado toast with fried eggs which was delicious. They were also super accommodating for gluten free all of their toasties and sandwiches can be made on GF bread. I even watched the cook use parchment to protect my GF bread from cross contamination when toasting! Husband also had a side of bacon, which he raved about. Highly recommend for meat loving and gluten free visitors!"

"I had seen many pictures of the food served here on Facebook and Instagram and decided it was definitely a place to visit. So when my friend and brother were down off the four of us went. We had a seafood platter for two, a COD and chips and a brisket. The seafood platter was a little tasteless and the overwhelming aftertaste was just of fried food. There wasn’t really enough to share either e.g. 3 cod balls .... the brisket was also tasteless and small but looked amazing. The cod and chips were however delicious and in fairness the cod was a big piece of fish. Lovely room with views of the coast but despite interesting decor the place lacked atmosphere and the staff seemed disinterested. I was so disappointed especially as friends had raves about it. I shall give it another shot as I think that’s only fair."

"We were passing through the village on a meandering route to Gatehouse of Fleet and timed it nicely for some lunch. We parked a short walk away just off Whylie’s Brae at an official car park as the streets are narrow and spaces were at a premium elsewhere. The café is in a traditional cottage style building but has been modernised internally. There was outside seating available at the entrance, which would have been an attraction had it not been raining at the time of our visit. There were a number of visitors present, staff were friendly and there was therefore a pleasant ambiance. Despite the offer of specials, which included a homemade pasta dish of the day, we were looking for more of a snack. There were decent options in this regard and my wife ordered a Tuna Mayo Cheese Jacket Potato which was served with three different salad garnishes carrot sultanas; baby broad bean sundried tomato; and a house coleslaw £7.75). I ordered a soup sandwich combo Broccoli Stilton soup and Chicken with lemon mayo sandwiches £9.00). Service was very good and the fresh, tasty and quality produce made for an enjoyable lunch . We finished things off with an Americano and Flatwhite coffee £2.70 each) which brought our bill to just over £22 which we thought was good value. Tempting as the cakes looked, we resisted indulging to save our appetite for later. Toilets were well maintained. There are small gift options on display for purchase. Check opening times currently only on Friday Saturdays during winter months."

"always delicious food and good service in the car and kitchen café. if the weather is good enough, it's great to sit outside and watch some people. the shop is also a favorite as there are some quirky and creative brands that they do not see in many other outlets. good for: books about eating and drinking luxury kitchen implemented and accessories gift items such as ceramic, scarves, bags and ornaments soft toys for children (jellycat similar) gift cards and luxury gift wrapping table crockery and kisses and throw designer clothes for women"

"I took my daughter and her friends to this restaurant for her birthday dinner and we had an amazing time. The food was tasty and the 'cosmic ballet' cocktail was a standout! Even though it was busy, the staff were very attentive and suggested a drink that I really enjoyed. My daughter and her friends come here often and I will definitely be coming back with my friends to sample more cocktails from the menu. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful evening!"

"The food was quite good, and the service was similarly impressive. During our first visit, the pizzas could have been served hotter, but on our second visit, the Sunday roast was fantastic. The portions were generous, and the beef and Yorkshire pudding were cooked to perfection. They also provide vegan and gluten-free options, which were perfect for our family meal. I tried the guest brew coffee, which was delicious and came with free refills."

"Rude manager who blocks you from leaving reviews on Facebook page! Ordered a takeaway and the first time it was good. Second time was absolutely awful and completely different to the first time we ordered! Got a rude reply from the manager and then got blocked from being able to book a table to try again! (We live local) The standard of food we received the second time was worse than mc Donald’s! And then to receive a rude reply from management and to be blocked from Facebook after being ignored about my complaint for months is disgusting! Shows exactly what type of manager he is! Will not ever return and have showed lots of local people the photos of how bad the food was we received. So many other local. Friendly restaurants around. Do not recommend at all!"

"The coffee at this restaurant was satisfying, and we found ourselves coming back regularly during our trip to the lakes. We have no complaints about the food or coffee - the eggs on toast and pastries were delicious, especially their scrambled eggs. There was also a variety of breads available for takeout. The savory lunch options looked appealing as well. However, we were disappointed by the dirty highchair given to us, and wished they had cleaned the tray between uses. The service was hit or miss - some staff members were friendly and enthusiastic, while others were not as welcoming and even seemed a bit rude when calling out orders. It was a bit strange that they didn't mention that drinks needed to be collected rather than served at the table, making it confusing for first-time visitors. Despite these issues, we still visit for the coffee, which we enjoy enough to overlook any shortcomings in the service."
