Situated in a lovely high street, we were greeted on arrival and made to feel really welcome. The room was very nice and comfortable. Good bar menu and the breakfast was also nice with a good choice. Came in Saturday after the fireworks, wasn't expecting too much as I've never been here before but Harry made us feel extremely welcome and he was extremely friendly. He recommended us drinks as I was unsure what to have and he recommended good drinks everytime we went up, I will definitely be coming back again and thank you Harry for the amazing service Service: 5 Location: 5

It wasn't a dollop of stew and a slab of puff pastry on my plate I was a proper pie! Hot and steaming as I broke open the crumbly pastry to reveal the sumptuous contents that released the sweet odours of steak prepared with a yorkskire ale. Set in the surroundings of a traditional public house in an old english town of considerable character. Well good! Parking could be an issue. Service: 5 Location: 4

Excellent little reasonably priced pub with a great selection of low and no alcohol drinks as well as the usuals. Food was good sized and well priced and above all else, the welcome from the staff was perfect. Not over friendly, but not pretentious or fussy. Just great find for the food and drinks we had. Would definitely go back. Example for Saturday evening meals and drinks with puddings for three adults and two children was a total spend of 79. Great value.

Everything but everything cannot be faulted whether the comfort, decor or service Eleni (Helen)was absolutely fantastic as nothing was too much and all with a lovely smile. Then Missy served us too, again fantastic and so warm and friendly. Kelsey in charge of the kitchen gets , excellent all departments. The food was so so tasty, the fish cooked to perfection and the oak smoked chicken pate was so nice we ordered a second helping, likewise the calamari ×2. going there again, highly recommended!
