"Actually, it's more of a 3.5 stars. The location is nice near the cathedral, and the menu has been updated with new dishes. The pizza sharing remains a winning formula, and the pizzas are very good, even with special toppings. When we arrived, they seated us outside, as the indoor area is only accessible after 7:30pm, but it was too hot outside! Another downside is the bill, quite expensive despite the discount on Thefork! The justification that it is near the cathedral doesn't make sense, because it is a chain!"

"Overall a good meal. Food portions were large and of home made taste. A total throw back for us was the little bread stick packets haven been served these since mid 1990s.. may be replace these with some olives or just simple fresh bread and butter?? Service was slow only 2 front of house ladies for at least 10 table covers is bit much. Only reason for 4* got penne instead of linguine and the ice cream dessert was served straight out of the freezer rather then allowing it to sit for few mins once taken out of the freezer Vegetarian options: Plenty of Veggie options and chef is was able to take make meat free versions of meaty pasts risotto"

"we had a wonderful time with fiddies who celebrated my birthday. eating is incredible, quick service and brilliant portion sizes. the manager even gave us a free dessert panacotta. can wait until soon back. recommend the zucchini fritti and bolognese."

"The next day, my husband and I returned to the restaurant and enjoyed sitting outside with a coffee in the sunshine after our meal. The indoor seating was a welcome relief from the heat and was refreshing. I look forward to returning to this restaurant. Although I didn't catch their names, I interacted with 5 employees who were nothing like what some negative reviews have described. I traveled 15 miles to dine here when asked where I wanted to go for my birthday, which speaks volumes about the quality of this establishment. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful experience."

"we saw today speee with the hopping on the bus. enjoy a few hours in the castle and then in the restaurant as we wanted an Italian restaurant. beautiful place bang on the main road. we went about 15 o'clock to late lunch and very few tables were occupied. the staff was very nice and friendly. we ordered a few softdrinks and a minenstrone suppe, focaccia and ratatouille for starter and a veg pizza and pasta for the main course. all items as expected. beautiful taste and presentation. will be happy to return."

"We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, guiding us to the best seat to watch the football game. The service was excellent and they worked diligently to keep up with our orders. The food, including the pizza bread and various pizzas, was delicious. "Great food and a warm welcome from Mark and his team awaits. Been several times, be it as a family, for ‘date nights’ with the good lady, or with a large group of colleagues for a night out. If you are nearby, take the chance. You won’t be disappointed! Top tip, thumb your nose at the diet for an evening and order the Stracetti as a side. Maybe get an Espresso Martini to reward yourself too."

"We came early for a pre concert meal. The staff were welcoming and the restaurant has was already quite busy. We ordered a glass of house wine of good quality a main dish, side salad and desert. We both chose the fresh=made ravioli with crab meat with a lobster bisque sauce, which was delicious, along with a very fresh mozzarella/tomato salad. A shared ice cream desert rounded off a very enjoyable meal. Service was professional and friendly. Highly recommended."

"Absolutely excellent , we had a family day at the Safari Park and we booked in here for 5pm. As soon as we walked in I knew that it was going to be great! The smell as you walk in was tremendous (and I’m a chef) so I was licking my lips ! Very warm welcome from an Italian gentleman and a quick wave to the chef and we were seated very quickly and drinks order was taken. There were 4 adults and a 1 1/2 year old (wee Freddie) who made a mess but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had several various dishes between us , namely , Burrata and tomato salad, Garlic Prawns, Garlic Mushrooms, Focaccia , Mussels, rigatoni, Pizza and a pepper steak and lovely roast potatoes and veg. FANTASTIC! I loved the fact that they had a few specials too. I would return just to try the specials! I just wish I lived a bit closer as I would be in all the time !!"

"Having last visited this restaurant as a child and having very fond memories of family evenings there I was delighted to return today and find the same owners still in place and the same brilliant food. The owner could not have been more welcoming and my 6 year old daughter, having been gifted a free ice lolly after enjoying a delicious bowl of authentic spaghetti carbonara, described the restaurant as “the best in the world”"

"My son and I entered because I was wanting to treat him to a pre Christmas dinner. So we saw on the menu a deal for a course dinner. Little did we know that we would be charged for both courses separately despite the deal. So having a read through the menu a turkey dinner seemed rather tempting so we both ordered that. We also asked for coke what we received was watered down dirty dish water that they said was pepsi. The food arrived and it was the equivalent of a care home meal. Frozen veg potato cut in half! Some stringy bland turkey. All floating in bland gravy. Our deserts where mediocre and the portion size was appallingly small. The audacity to charge People for that horrendous meal my son and I then left and got some burgers from the Glasgow market festival which where far more adequate and had flavour. We shall not be returning"

"Me and my sister phoned up to see if they had a table on Saturday evening. They advised they had one as long as we were finished before 8. We said not a problem and headed round the corner Walked in and the place looked great. My sister explain we had just phoned up and we were taken to a table at the back. Staff came across seem very nice. My sister has started to say he keeps giving me dirty looks. We gave our order and meals arrived no issues. My sister kept saying throughout the meal he keeps giving me dirty looks When we had finished, the guy that had been given her dirty looks appeared. Mumbling something and kept his back to my sister and she asked can we get the bill and he walked away we didn't know if we had heard her or not. Then the girl who showed us to our table appeared with the bill and the guy who took our order took the payment Food was ok Staff fine no issues. Who we think was the owner not pleasant at all."

"After Italmania on Union Street shut down a few years ago I struggled to find an Italian in Glasgow that done a really good carbonara. The carbonara here is delicious. I would recommend the rose wine on the wine list, it's odd but worth it, I would also reccomend the garlic bread with cheese, the bread is more like pan bread and not the usual garlic baggette you get elsewhere. The staff are great, the food is amazing. I used to go here every Friday for lunch (before I bought a house and became permanently skint) and would always get half pizza half pasta with a friend which was always amazing. They also do a thing called Viva Gold, if you say this when booking and it's within the set timescales of the deal you can get between off the food bill depending on the day. Check their website for times before booking."

"Just been delivered my first order from la favorita and I wont be using them again. Wrong pizzas delivered! Ordered chicken/mushroom and got sausage! Cold and limp. 2 bottles of cola ordered, got 1. Called the restaurant to complain and was told there's nothing they can do about it and blamed uber eats!! I mean what the actual f**k, how can you blame uber eats for your obvious mistake in pizza toppings. Absolute joke and will never go to la favorita again."

"Good food, wine, coffee and company. Al Santo has been part of the Fulham Broadway scene for several years now, and is a firmly established favourite for many people. "Pleasant spot for breakfast. I want to return and try the other food The Yorkshire Deli does, especially the pizza! But today me and my partner went for breakfast here. The environment was relaxing. The food was incredible and very filling, it definitely lived up to its price. The coffee was nice but if I had to criticize it would have been the milk was steamed to too high of a temperature, it was extremely hot which ruined some of its texture but not too much that it burnt, but it was still nice Customer service from the waitress who was new that day was excellent! I'm sure she'll become more and more confident in her role there and be an asset to the establishment. Overall, fantastic experience will be back soon!"
