Vittoria - Menu

While visiting Edinburgh with friends, we decided to dine at Vittoria. We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of Italian cuisine we found at this restaurant.

The last time I was so impressed by food was when I had Italian cuisine in Driggs, Idaho, instead of Edinburgh, Scotland. This restaurant was highly recommended and it did not disappoint.

Stopped in for an early dinner after a long day walking around Edinburgh. We ordered some drinks and then decided on the Chicken Liver Pâté and Arancini for starters, and then the half half pizza and pasta for dinner. Loved that this was an option as we often share our main courses anyway, so it was fab that they offered this upfront and we were able to share two choices. The food was amazing and the staff were very accommodating and polite. The restaurant itself was beautiful and very light and airy.

Ravioli Leandro was so cumbersome that we ordered twice for our Glutton pleasure. The authentic Italian restaurant is no less than a story of an occasional visit for a casual lunch with family and toddlers, which is the best decision we made after the daily walk in the city and the Royal Mile. They accepted our demands for choosing our own toppings on pizza if we wanted to swallow the meat with vegetables from their famous pizza menu offers. The authentic Italian restaurant is no less than a story of a chance visit for a casual lunch with family and toddlers, that turned out to be the best decision we made after the day long stroll in the town and the Royal Mile. They gracefully accepted our demands to the choice of our own toppings on Pizza, when we wanted to swap the meat with veggies from their famous pizza menu offerings. The place is definitely the best one on the street and highly recommended.

Vittoria on the Bridge is a quality Italian restaurant that caters for everyone. When we were in there there was an eighteenth and sixtieth birthday, couples on dates and a couple of other family groups like ours. The staff were friendly towards the grown ups and the children and were clearly competent professionals, able to efficiently serve a busy Saturday evening crowd. The food was served quickly and all the dishes had good flavours and appeared freshly prepared in house. Portion sizes were good, more than enough for some of our group and the children's dishes were more than a match for a hungry four year old. I have visited here twice, and it runs Giuliano's a close second in the running to be the best Italian restaurant in Edinburgh. The service is always friendly and the staff go out of their way to make yourself and your party comfortable. The last two times I have been here, I've had seafood, such is my liking for the inhabitants of the ocean. The Seabass, which I believe was a special, was a truly amazing dish, most recently I had the Cod Saltimbocca, which bested the Seabass, but only just. The extensive drinks menu is sure to cater for all manners of tastebuds, alas I have never tried anything from here other than the Coca-Cola or water as I never drink alcohol with a meal.
