"On a difficult Thursday (still one day until the end of the week) myself and a number of colleagues decided to make an impromptu visit to Tortilla. I had been warned about the wavering standards but as a group we decided we would give it one more go (this was probably influenced by the close proximity of the establishment and the fact it was raining). On first glance I was pleasantly surprised that despite the weather the queue was a reasonable length. However, shortly after my arrival my experience went downhill. Little did I know but there was a severe bottle neck at the pay station which meant I had to communicate my order from a considerable distance away. Despite having to shout this was not the end hence me giving a rating of “poor”. I ordered a large burrito to get me through this difficult day and at the first station I boldly shouted my order for a large burrito with tomato rice. Maybe the person on the rice station took my raised voice as an indication of my love for rice. Unfortunately I don’t love rice it just helps to fill the burrito. The rice station employee dumped shovel after shovel of rice onto the burrito only giving me a 50% rice to other ingredient ratio. Next, slightly nervous I moved onto what should be the main ingredient of the burrito the meat. Again, here things went from worse to worse. The ration was excellent however, the chicken has all but lost it’s flavour. What is going on here? Are you not grilling the chicken anymore and boiling it? I shall say no more about the chicken as it was nothing compared to the employee on the spicy sauce station. This employee clearly took no pride in his work as he simply plopped the biggest blob of spicy sauce on the top of the burrito without spreading it. Therefore, when I took my first bite I was met with an explosion of spice bringing me to tears which I assume will return at my designated 4 o’clock 20 minute break. Fortunately the obscene amount of rice managed to calm the fire in my mouth after I took my 2nd third and 4th bite. All in all please sort you stuff out as I have been a loyal customer for a long period of time."

"I was super excited to come here to celebrate my birthday with my partner, but I really wish I went somewhere else than waste my time and money coming here. We booked a table for half 8 over a week beforehand, and arrived at 8:25 to be told it would be a 15 minute wait. It was extremely busy so I wasn’t too bothered and was more than happy to wait at a small table by the window with a drink whilst we waited. Half an hour later, we were still waiting and finally was told by a very snotty member of staff (I think she was a supervisor) we would be seated soon at 9pm. It’s worth mentioning as well that we had to wait 15 minutes for a Desperado and a coke (which they did in the end knock odd the bill for the wait). And the coke came in a filthy glass which we had to send back and wait for it to be replaced. At 9:10, we were FINALLY seated at our very sticky and wonky table. We were pleased that our order was taken fairly quickly with the startera on our table (delivered by the snotty girl who seemed to have a problem with us even though we had waited forever for our table) within 10 minutes and it was very tasty. I had popcorn shrimp whilst my partner had the bbq wings. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the main course. My boyfriends bacon burger looked like it had been tossed together and my rib eye stake was really fatty and a medium rather than medium rare and was absolutely not worth £22!! Not to mention it was cold, I was so disappointed as I had heard great things!! I really wouldn’t encourage any of my friends and family to come here as I feel like it seriously isn’t worth the money. I wish we had left and gone elsewhere when the half an hour mark had gone by as I have left feeling really unsatisfied. Maybe they were having a bad evening as it was super busy, but a little bit of kindness shown for the staff would have made up for that but we didn’t even receive that."

"I went in and liked the place right away. we arrived at 22.00 on Saturday night and it was very lively and atmospheric. looks like a great place to have a meal before they get out. unfortunately my experience with eating and the staff was far from so good. ordered a vegan chimichanga and was told by the waitress they were “from vegan options”. When I wanted to make myself clear, she said they could only make me a vegan fajita, mushroom burger or afteros. I decided for the fajita I regretted later than over 50% of the total meal consisted of boiled wobble. (I could have known this from the menu, I didn't read it when I didn't see it as an option before the waitress came.) When the waiter broke out the fajita, something in me had to check with him whether the cheese that accompanied him was vegan. he looked at it and said: no. If they are vegan, they cannot have it” and continue to take away the cheese and sour cream. I am very pleased that he had found a solution when he moved the a few centimeters to my omni friend who had ordered a burger, and said: "But you can eat it" and went away. there was no excuse, there was never a offer to replace the cheese, with, say some more guacuamole (which already came in a ridiculously small part in consideration of the size and cost of the meal), a free something or a few money back. the cocktails were nice."
