"Considering I was initially looking forward to my experience here, I was disappointed with both the quality of the food and the service me and my party were provided. After ordering drinks, my group of friends shared a starter of Nachos which was essentially tortilla chips served with cheap salsa and guacamole. For the all important mains and signature burgers, I ordered the classic ‘Smoker’, however, the only thing left smoking was the hole in my wallet. The bun was as dry as the Sahara, and although the quality of the burger was satisfactory, I was left wondering on how downhill the standard has fallen since previous ownership.Overall, an unsatisfactory meal for an inflated cost."

We really enjoyed our meal at South seven, the atmosphere was great with big diner style tables and good music playing, and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed the nachos and the beef with soy dipping sauce as particular highlights. Great value too. we will definitely be back!

We stumbled upon South Seven after Libby's, next door but one, was shut. This was at 4.30pm and Libby's wasn't opening until 5pm (Tier 3 times). South Seven was recommended by a staff member in The Midland, opposite, as we only wanted a coffee. Well the coffee was great; as South Seven's machine wasn't working, they went through the back and got it from Libby's anyway! What's nice about Marple is the sense of mutual proprietor community the staff member from The Midland making the recommendation and Libby's helping out South Seven.

Been here many times over the years, and this was the first time we left hungry. The menu choice has reduced, most notably with the removal of any dirty fries. Our burgers were cold, the restaurant itself is cold as nothing has been done to stop the repeated draft from the front door. Lastly most staff were doing their best in the new coronavirus times, chairs and tables were cleaned down and waiters wore masks. Sadly groups of friends were welcomed despite this being illegal, and a member of staff who stayed behind the bar chose not to wear a mask.

the meal went in order until the owner was disgustingly drunk on the job and began to brunette everyone. I and my father feel very restless, especially when he was staring at my father in a very aggressive wise way and simply ignored us and went away! dermot is just a stier. I worked a year and it was terrible. I've never found one of these. that connect to the workstation is a real thing and it happened to me here. that was four years ago, but I look back, now I'm older, it was really bad and I have no fear to say that it's my mental health bad and still does.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
