"Went for lunch on a Saturday. Booked ahead a good move as very popular with shoppers. Very good food. A really outstanding Caesar salad: big, bold, well-balanced. Plenty of parmesan and excellent quality chicken. A light touch with the dressing. Chicken burger was very good too. Fries are to die for. The prices are fair value for this area. The atmosphere is more like a good cafe or burger joint than a restaurant. The staff were few and far between and seemed rushed of their feet (a result, it seemed, of trying to service a full restaurant swell as a very busy Deliveroo turnover). It took minutes to have out order taken, and another minutes to receive our drinks. This slightly spoiled the whole experience. Overall, very good but if you're in a hurry it may be frustrating at weekends! I will go back, nevertheless."

I had organized a surprise dinner for my man who loves this restaurant. we have booked through open table that when I contacted me, told me that they are only a platform and record it with the restaurant. I contacted the restaurant to be told the debt of his open table as they have removed before a past. we have no special lunch and no real excuse or offer to find us another date. we are disappointed with an understatement. we eat in many Michelin-star restaurants all over the world and this is unacceptable! a star is too good!"

We live far apart due to work and don't get to see each other as often as we'd like, so we were looking forward to a romantic meal here for Valentine's Day on the 15th. When our taxi arrived, we found the restaurant dark and closed with no sign of life. We had never been there before and were disappointed, as we had been looking forward to our meal together. We ended up at Prezzo instead, sitting next to a large table of 20 people. It was a letdown."

"It's been a long time coming but... I've finally tried Oh La La. I was NOT disappointed. : )This intimate space has got chic French decor and a welcoming feel.My host mirrored the atmosphere. She was smiley, friendly and attentive. I felt looked after and waited on even though I was only having a take away.On this visit I sampled from the Caribbean Menu. That's right. CARIBBEAN!! I opted for a classic of Rice and Peas with Stew Chicken from the lunch Special.The rice was perfect, just the right amount of moisture it was tasty even by itself. When I paired it with the dark, rich sauce of the stew chicken,.. I was hooked. A subtle hint of spice greets you and the end of each mouthful.The price paid is as advertised and you get a good amount of food. I ate mines in two goes. I'd thoroughly recommend this restaurant and especially this Caribbean staple,I'll be back again for sure. I'd take pictures next time. This time I was too busy eating.Thank you Oh La La La"

"We have been here a few times already, but yesterday the food was not as good as last time (Serrano ham was not fresh, fillet was good but not great and the chicory was decent but overpriced, Prosecco glasses were below average). The service was not adequate, the waitress was trying her best and was very nice but she was not made for the job. We had a great view of the stunning decor throughout the restaurant. The waitress brought out our afternoon tea, and we were genuinely impressed by the variety and amount of food we received for the price. The sandwiches and cakes were fresh and delicious, and the macaroons were absolutely delightful. After enjoying our afternoon tea, we decided to stay for a cocktail. "We returned to L’Ortolan about 4 weeks after our first visit and tasting menu as we had enjoyed it so much. This time we took my mother and dined with Nest at L’Ortolan and had the most fantastic Sunday lunch, the food was equally incredible to the fine dining and the service was lovely and undiminished. We went at a bit of a funny time Mid afternoon so it was pretty empty so there was not a significant buzz but it meant we got to enjoy each other’s company, and we left with mother asking when she could come back a very good sign indeed!"

The term rodizio translates to continuous meat, and that is precisely what you can expect here - a variety of beef cuts, ribs, pork, sausage, and chicken that keep coming until you've had your fill. The meat is presented on skewers, with waiters carving it in front of you onto your plate. I only wish this place was in Birmingham, as it is an absolute must-visit for anyone."
