"I always felt a bit hesitant to go into ‘MONO’ as it seemed a bit too trendy for me ! Today I took the plunge and was pleasantly surprised. Ciara took care of me and directed me to a window table. I was served a nice tofu dish, beetroot couscous. It did take a wee while to arrive and it would have been nice if the dinner bowl had been warmed. Then the dessert came courtesy of the lovely Gemma! Steamed coconut sponge with raspberry and ice cream, delicious! Dessert was complimented with a creamy soy latte. I’m glad I visited. It was a nice experience. I know that ‘MONO’ stands by inclusion but I do believe that there should be a traditional ladies bathroom for traditional ladies if that makes sense. It has nothing to do with intolerance of others but a matter of personal choice. Which inclusion is surely about."

"Incredibly disappointing. For starters, they served our food in literal takeout boxes and gave us cardboard cutlery and single use plastic cups just why? The service was really poor. Despite being one of three tables, our food was delivered to the wrong table, and when the receiving customers highlighted the mistake, the server simply rewrapped the burgers and brought them to us (not really Covid secure given that the burgers had been unwrapped by the other table). Our server was inattentive and unprofessional we had to ask for water three times, and in the end another server had to assist, our one seemingly too busy laughing with another table for 10 minutes. The food was mostly fine, except the buffalo wings, which were shockingly bad, as well as the fact that they seemed to have run out of most of their menu. We really loved Rudy's Diner in Islington, particularly the milkshakes, which weren't available. We had even tried to call ahead but the phone line went straight to voicemail. You'd think that with so many menu items unavailable, they'd have an operational phone or an updated menu on their website at the very least! To add salt to the wound, midway through our meal, staff decided to put on uncomfortably loud music, making it really difficult to hear one another. The only redeeming feature of our experience was that, thanks to the takeout boxes, we were able to make a relatively quick escape."

"B&K is the ONLY restaurant we are as pleased with today as when we first discovered Bobby and Marco’s joint nearly 10 years ago (note: the original business was founded by their grandfather in 1978). The salt beef reigns supreme of course but the chicken schnitzels are also deliciously moist and light. The mash potato is our favourite of the potato side dishes although the schnitzels are brilliant too, as are the chips particularly if ordered well cooked. We can. Ever really have enough of the pasta salad either. Enough said, try it and you’ll be a convert."

"Called around 10 .30am to order brunch only to be informed they were having a break from brunch but could wait 20minutes ?? Staff extremely busy and tbh never stopped running around so think break could have been due to being overwhelmed as very busy...cafe . We did wait but when food arrived we were slightly disappointed. Eggs were definitely not free range , they were tiny and the yolk was very pale yellow . The wild mushrooms were bland and the sour dough was sliced extremely thin . Overall experience poor but staff lovely hence why bumped up score to 3 stars . I won’t return or be recommending ."

"Wow, was it worth it! The place was packed with a real buzz about it. The food was gorgeous, the owner Ira is a character and we had a real laugh with her. She has one of those signs that used to be in old swimming baths- no diving, no petting etc and on seeing a young couple holding hands she showed them the sign and had the whole restaurant laughing as she bantered with them about it. They have quirky circular menus which we loved, the food was absolutely gorgeous, we had chicken schnitzel, salt beef, latkes, fish and chicken soup, then New York cheesecake with rum and raisin ice cream, which I hadn't intended having any, but was so yummy I ended up fighting for half of. All the food is freshly cooked and really delicious."

"It was our first visit to Kith Kin today and we enjoyed it so much. We were made to feel welcome straight away by the friendly staff, who asked us to choose a seat and told us how to order. The menu was easy to breeze through and all sounded great. We both chose the day's special, which was steak eggs. It was so good! Service was quick, the food was amazing, steak cooked exactly as we asked and the side of sourdough toast was lovely too. Our coffees we had were really nice and we even bought a piece of cake to take home. We will definitely be back!"

"A wonderful find. The food was delicious. We were only there for a light lunch after a morning's walk, but temptation got the better of us. Imam Bayaldi (baked stuffed aubergine) followed by chocolate marquise. It would be just mean to remove a star for their one faux pas: earl grey tea presented as an attractive glass cup of boiled water with a separate teabag (the Earl would shudder). Everywhere looks better on a beautiful sunny day, but sitting in the beer garden looking across in the direction of Stonor with red kites circling around was really delightful."

"A friend of mine was visiting Ironbridge from North Wales, and wanted to meet up to explore the town and a walk along the River Severn. I looked on TripAdvisor for cafes with good vegan options for him and found Eighty Six'd. The cafe is small and intimate; it's like a converted maisonette. The loo is downstairs by the front door, there's a few steps up to the main cafe floor (which has lovely big bay windows , and the kitchen and till are in an adjoining room. Staff were polite and gave us time to peruse the menu and chat. There's art and poetry from local creators on the walls exhibited like a mini museum; it's for sale too for the curators amongst you, but worth having a wander around to just look. Maggie Cameron's bird themed art is beautiful! I didn't have food, just an Earl Grey tea, but my friend ordered a vegan chickpea and sweet potato salad, along with a vegan scone with coconut cream and preserve. Everything was beautifully presented (very colourful! and he was impressed with the quality of the food so next time I find myself in Ironbridge, I'll try something vegan myself! I did sneak a bit of the coconut cream out of curiosity, and it was pretty moreish... Thanks, folks great to drop by, hopefully we can do so again sometime."

"I absolutely adore Wrights, it's a perfect spot for a casual meal or take-out during the day. I was thrilled to hear that they were opening in the evenings. I made a reservation for 8pm on a Saturday and the service, atmosphere, and overall experience were fantastic. However, I was a bit disappointed with the limited menu options. While I wasn't expecting an extensive menu, I was surprised that three items were not available and there was only one special main dish. It was a shame, as I love their small plates."

"What a great find. Our air b n b recommended this for breakfast. Lovely waitress. Very kind and chatty. Found out later she made the sausage roll which was seriously tasty. And I'm not just saying it. The best I've eaten (Greenwich Market was my favourite) to be sure. Wife had bacon and egg bap and hone made cake. Tea and coffee were lovely The train carriage was quirky and cool. Literally 2mins from car park and with views over race course. Ps resident dog is friendly and cute."

"I’ve taken a few days to write this review as didn’t want to write it when angry! Took my daughter , daughter in law and there newborns for breakfast as a treat, we placed our order my daughter ordered a full English asked for her bacon to be well done (crispy I ordered Welsh Rarebit, daughter in law an omelette. Full English came out with anaemic bacon I got a croque monsier omelette was perfect. We called the waitress asked for the bacon to be cooked to how we ordered said mine was wrong. She took mine away left the mushrooms , took the bacon but left the rest of the breakfast on the table, (bacon came back still not crispy so again was sent back and by this time the rest of her breakfast was cold and the scrambled eggs had made the toast soggy beans had a skin on them so breakfast was not eaten. When they came to clear the table my daughter pointed out that the breakfast was ruined was ASKED if she wanted to see the manager, the chef came out (manager? asked what the problem was said he would remove it from the bill which we said was a nice gesture as paying £15.50 for something that could not be eaten was a bit much, I then pointed out that my order was also wrong and that I was left with the mushrooms he replied yes I did hear that but I was on pastry I’ll also remove that…Then off he went! Within minutes he came storming out said he had spoken to the waitress that we got what we ordered( I don’t like to be called a liar! He done a complete 360 told us our breakfast was COMPS to get out not come back as we don’t like their food! I replied I was more than happy to pay for what we had eaten and our coffees again in front of all his customers told it was COMPS to GET OUT!!! So a word of warning if you go there and something is not to how you ordered please be aware they cannot take criticism and this is how you are treated!"

"We love traditional deli sandwiches, especially Pastrami and Reubens. However, Monty 's pastrami Reubens, the star of the show, was rather lackluster. First of all, it was tiny! A little sandwich and half a pickle on a plate with nothing besides. The flavour of the pastrami was good, but it was powdery and dry in texture (overcooked). There also wasn 't a lot of it! The pickle it was served with was good and so was the Sauerkraut, but the rye bread was very light (and small). We also had a salt beef Reuben which was nice, but also quite small! Latkes were very good and so were the drinks coffee and egg cream! We ended with a sesame bagel that wasn 't very big nor chewy enough like a traditional bagel. Feeling a bit disappointed because the reviews we read online gave high ratings. On the plus side, the waiters were friendly and helpful."

"As a local resident in Windsor, I have become a regular at Millar's eatery, initially for takeout during the pandemic and now for dining in once things have opened up again. The staff is friendly and the food is consistently delicious. The menu is concise but each item is prepared to perfection with an artisanal touch. Despite commuting to London now, I was reminded of what kept me coming back all this time. Today, I enjoyed a tuna wasabi baguette and a hazelnut chocolate friand to go - the bread is incredible. I highly recommend Millar's for their coffee beans, great coffee, and customizable cakes. They once made the best lemon drizzle cake I've ever had - if you don't ask, you won't know. So make sure to ask."

"Ordered breakfast bowl to take away. When it arrived I asked if any spoons to eat it with? I was told no so I asked how I was supposed to eat it? Answer not my problem by a rude lady serving. Asked why she didn't tell me they had no take away cutterely and why I wasn't told this when ordering? Had to ask for a refund Attitide was terrible and not as previous visits. Will think twice about going again if this is what to expect."
"Went here to meet up with friends from school as one of them visiting from New Zealand. What an incredible place ! The interior and outdoor garden are so tastefully equipped , the staff could not do more for you, but maintaining a discreet distance , the food was amazing ! Amazing selection of cocktails , drinks and the food choice was unbelievable. Our celiac guest actually thought her meal must be for someone else as it looked so devine and she said she had never tasted better. The landlord and landlady really went all out to make us have the best evening ever! At the end of the evening settling the extremely good value bill we paid a little extra to show our appreciation, the waitress discretely took a member of our party aside to point out it was over the total and was genuinely grateful at the tip, no expectation! An old Bicestarian i, will definitely travel the 40 mins to come back on a regular basis. If you haven't tried here before i strongly recommend you do!"

"We stopped by for a quick lunch, and I ordered the funghi focaccia. It came with potatoes, which really caught my attention. It was warmed up and absolutely delicious, with fantastic flavor. I also tried a pynk punk smoothie, and the strawberry flavor was just perfect. Before leaving, I grabbed a coffee, and it turned out to be one of the best coffees I've had. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful as well."

"Firstly, one star off already for not being fully vegan. (Naughty 5 star reviews on here for somewhere that serves animal secretions). We 've been wanting to try Birch for a while. It 's always good to support local businesses. So we decided to pop in for breakfast. Reading all the other reviews, the menu must have changed. It was one menu for all day (no separate breakfast/lunch menu). It all sounded very wholesome and 'artisan ' , but here 's the issue. Sometimes, as a vegan, you just want a good tofu scramble or some mushrooms on toast. It wouldn 't hurt to add simpler items onto the menu alongside the hand whipped essence of kimchi. It would make more sense to make the base menu fully Vegan and then if people insist on having animal products on their food, that can be added as extra. Nothing was clearly marked Vegan on the menu (aside from the traybakes), so I wasn 't sure which were safe to eat. Having to constantly ask 'Is this vegan? ' in a cafe catering for vegans is not ideal. I didn 't feel safe enough in my choices (I am Autistic and having no clarity on the menu was confusing for me). There was also no drinks menu on display, so again, ordering a drink involved an overwhelming exchange of information. Why not just print out a drinks menu and attach to the food one? The cafe was quite loud and bright (again as a ND person this was difficult) and tables were close to each other so I could hear the ins and outs of a strangers conversation (I know they are working with the space they have but one of the tables for two could be taken away and the rest spaced out more). I felt unable to relax and just wanted to make the visit as quick as possible. The biggest thing for me, though, was the cost. For breakfast type meals (toast, granola etc) it was ridiculous. Posh beans on toast for £10! I walked away disappointed that I essentially had hummus on toast (something I can have at home) and felt like I 'd been robbed for it. The sourdough and the hummus were however both tasty. I wanted to highlight in this review how businesses need to realise that not every customer is Neurotypical, we live in a world that makes everything so exhausting and riddled with discomfort. Simple changes like more space, clearer menus and quieter music can make a world of difference. I still cannot get over £10 for beans on toast! I don 't think I would visit again, my bank account couldn 't take it."
