"We love traditional deli sandwiches, especially Pastrami and Reubens. However, Monty 's pastrami Reubens, the star of the show, was rather lackluster. First of all, it was tiny! A little sandwich and half a pickle on a plate with nothing besides. The flavour of the pastrami was good, but it was powdery and dry in texture (overcooked). There also wasn 't a lot of it! The pickle it was served with was good and so was the Sauerkraut, but the rye bread was very light (and small). We also had a salt beef Reuben which was nice, but also quite small! Latkes were very good and so were the drinks coffee and egg cream! We ended with a sesame bagel that wasn 't very big nor chewy enough like a traditional bagel. Feeling a bit disappointed because the reviews we read online gave high ratings. On the plus side, the waiters were friendly and helpful."

Huge sandwich. Great meat. Simply wonderful. I can’t speak highly enough. Get the Ruben. It’s going to blow your mind.

This place was very disappointing for service, small portion and price. The meals we order were served incorrectly and we didn’t get our food at same time.

We had the reuben with salami, but it was extremely salty! It ruined the whole taste. We tried the cheesecake and it felt like it was store bought. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place.

We visited last year after wanting to for ages following Tom Kerridge’s televised visit during which time he raved about the Reuben. It was ok. Not awful but certainly not great. My husband was gutted as he had been really looking forward to it. Would go elsewhere next time

Salt beef for me, pastrami for my partner and both were a huge disappointment. The price is close to the best in town Brass Rail at Selfridges but the quality and value (from where DO they source the smallest rye loaf? are nowhere. And to run out of bagels (this at the Victoria outpost is sacrilege.

Listen, I know times are tough but when I am paying 13£ for a sandwich I need a solid framework upon which said meal can be built. By limiting the bread slice size so extensively there is therefore less meat, less garnish and therefore less to enjoy. Please source a suitable approximate a5 sized slice to sort out the customer satisfaction and experience otherwise I would be most aggrieved to be similarly disappointed again.

Very small sandwich, salt beef and pastrami tasted a bit odd. Odd texture to meat. Cheese not grilled but placed on top of sandwich. Service slow and a bit inattentive. Was offered mayo and ketchup with the fries but it never came. You can see the proportion of meat to Sauerkraut in the photo. Pickles too fancy, small and odd. Flavour nowhere close to Brass Rail or Beigel Bake. No English mustard. Shame as was really looking forward. Not cheap!

Delicious food.4 of us went for lunch. Liked the sound of most of the starters so we ordered practically one of everything and shared. Loved the chopped liver and toasted challah bread. Pickles were good too. We all opted for the salt beef (nearly as good as my home made) eggs and latkas. Best latkas I've eaten in ages and the eggs cooked to perfection for me, also loved the coleslaw that accompanied it all. Loved my dessert of chocolate style bread pudding, served with vanilla ice cream. All washed down with a peppery but damn good ****** mary and a lemon tea. Service was friendly and pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed and excellent value for money.
