"The hotel bar area is a pleasant place to have a drink before your meal, with comfortable seating, suitable music at comfortable volume and interesting black and white photographs. The bar staff seemed busy and it was several minutes before anyone acknowledged us seated at the bar waiting to order drinks. The meal itself was very good, cooked well and well presented. The service was a little slow and we did wonder if they were understaffed on our Thursday night. We made several attempts to catch the eye of any member of staff fleeting by in order to ask about the menu, more water, more bread etc. No one came to 'see how we were getting on ' or if we required anything else. Topping up of glasses was done by staff on 1-2 occasions only. However, the staff were pleasant and smartly dressed. The toilet facilities were excellent. Overall, I would dine again."

"We were here for a drink and bar snacks, this time we booked for a meal. The staff is great and attentive, knowledgeable and helpful, with a smile also, you see the two guys at the bar in the picture that I was allowed to take the guys, great help and sense of humor. When sitting on the table I managed to knock a wine glass on the ground and smash it so embarrassing that I tried to get the pieces and was told by Will the Assistant Manager to leave it as it is okay, and they will take care of cutting better than your hands and creating more problems! Thank you. I'm sorry about the glass. The meal we had was the Brat option, most had chicken with the circumcisions ihad the trio option. Tasteful and pleasant, the only criticism is, it needed more vegetables on the plate, sorry. We have ordered extra pages and the broccoli with chili and lemon, master class. Only two had desert, Bramley applecake and custard, sticky toffee pudding with pecans and I had Custard with him, delicious. Thanks to Will and he is amazing staff from the bar to the restaurant and the kitchen, thanks to Chef Bis soon."

"The General Manager was very accommodating and took the initiative when it took us 30 minutes to be served our drinks. Unfortunately, the waiter seemed focused on only a few tables and didn't take our order in a timely manner. The food was decent; I wanted steak but it was out (which I understand given the lockdown the next day). Overall, the venue had a nice atmosphere and vibe."

"Waiting for the bus home opposite and finding out it wouldn’t come for another 25 mins, I decided to treat myself to a dinner out instead. An extremely warm welcome the instant I walked through the door and the best service I’ve had in a restaurant for a long time! The atmosphere is very relaxed, food delicious, very reasonable and really quick to be served too. The menu is really varied with some great pasta, pizza, salad, meat and seafood options so I’m sure there’s something for everyone. All in all, an accidental discovery, but a fantastic find and I’ll most definitely be back again soon thank you!"

"big prizes, small portions. I went on Saturday with a group of friends in the residency. "Absolutely love this pub, we have just bought a lodge in the area and luckily found this gem. We eat here for Sunday lunch and cannot fault it. The food is cooked to perfection with a good selection of meat snd vegetables. The staff are all lovely and nothing to much trouble. I totally recommend this pub."

"First of all it started with it with a drink then we had food after the owner stated it was good authentic Indian and American food, we ordered 2 of the empire burgers which was dry and rubbery and the amount it sauce made the burger soggy, we also ordered a balti which came out red in a tiny dish there was hardly any chicken which was cooked terribly and the chicken was scrag ends, the naan bread wasn’t homemade it was shop brought it was a tough as dogs toy and the amount of grease on top was good enough for a pond, the food came out at odd times and they forgot the sides. The place was like a ghost town with very odd cheap decor they only had one member of staff which was clumsy and didn’t know really what to do, also no draft for fizzy pop, we told the waitress about the food and didn’t do much about it the chef didn’t apologise it was just an excuse of “short staff” which if you’re going to take people’s money you still need to keep up the standards. THIS PLACE NEEDS SHUTTING DOWN IVE HAD BETTER MICROWAVE FOOD"

"Visited today with my partner and our 4 children. Don't think the kids have ever saw or tasted a hotdog as big or delicious. Our burgers were huge, so juicy and amazing value. "I love how accommodating and attentive staff were as it was my graduation meal so they really helped make it an even more memorable and enjoyable experience. We dined using the set menu priced at 37.50 GBP per person which was amazing value for money. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food as it was flavoursome and beautifully presented. I wish I remembered the staff’s name but I got carried away with a few glasses of wine courtesy of the staff who even brought out a surprise desert to celebrate my academic achievement. They even brought out a second for photoshoot purposes!"

"We stayed in the Ash Barn Annex in October for one night before a flight next day . The food in the pub was ok , however the room we were given was awful , room . The convection heater on the wall did...not work , there was a small fan heater so we used that but it was still cold in there . There was just a sheet on top of the mattress no protector and there was something that looked like blood on the mattress . The bed was uncomfortable and creeky . There was a rusty toilet brush in the bathroom and the mirror had splash marks on it . The kettle had old water in it and loads of lime scale . We left our car in the pub car park for a week while we were on holiday , this was fine . It’s a shame the room let it down ."

"We visited Koto Restaurant on North Parade for Sunday lunch for the first time, and we wish we had tried it sooner. The ramen broth was incredibly delicious, with a gentleman next to us remarking that it tasted just like what he had in Japan. The menu was straightforward and easy to order from, with both the broth and noodles being homemade and preservative-free. The food was healthy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The only downside was that they do not take reservations, so there may be a wait. Overall, I would rate the food at Koto Restaurant as some of the best in Oxford."

"it's been a past since we went for a curry. young, we were not disappointed. friendly reception from the personal. they were more than happy to make a dish from menu when I asked if they were a court, was said it was not a problem to do it for me. they were also pleased with nutritional requirements. the portions were more than enough, next time we could not be greedy and go only for the net. they were happy to pack the rest. we would definitely recommend it and will go back."

"I was aimlessly wandering around and came upon this gem in a neighborhood lined with pretty shops and gorgeous homes. It seems to be frequented by local residents, which was exactly what I was looking for, and it has a little shop that sells fruits, vegetables, pasta, olive oils, etc. I ordered Spaghetti Bolognese, which was perfectly cooked, hot and topped with just the right amount of parmesan. The meat sauce has to be the recipe from someone's little, old nonna. It was out of this world. I couldn't finish it so I took the leftovers to go along with a scrumptious piece of strawberry cheesecake and a bag filled with oil, vinegar, chips and sweets! "We ordered the tasting platter at £38 for 2 people. The quantities were very small and bulked up with salad leaves. We could have both eaten 1 to ourselves and at £38 it was not value for money. The food was tasty but there was not enough to fill us unfortunately. Dont know if I would go back to be honest."

"Went for a Sunday late lunch : the 4 courses menu was tasty and good value for money. The service was average as they couldn't locate my jacket in their wardrobe : 15 minutes wait for that. They also did not accept the OpenTable rewards cheques and were confused about it. Average experience overall for me."
