"big prizes, small portions. I went on Saturday with a group of friends in the residency. I ordered the risotto for the main, which was beautiful, was tiny, I even wondered if they had brought me an initial part until my friend reached the same size. another friend ordered a filet steak that was about the size of a satsuma! the waitress constantly sleeps the wine glasses high and emptied the bottle twice before she came to me, so we were forced to order both paints another bottle. on the table was another bottle of foam water that no one had ordered, but at the end of the night stood on the bill! the restuarant itself, atmosphere etc. is beautiful but...read more"

Rubbish Took some friends for a special meal very embarassed about it as the food was poor and when we questioned the duty manager about one of the meals he was extremely arrogant and did nothing about it.

Loved it!. Took some foodie friends here for lunch last Saturday couldn't fault it. Attentive and knowledgeable service, particularly about the wines on offer. Delicious food and a lovely ambiance. Liked the menu as much or as little as you want can't wait to go again. The monkfish was to die for!

Excellent. Enjoyed a great birthday meal here, the setting is beautiful and opulent and the meal was delicious. Our waitress was lovely and very friendly.Would also recommend the bar, only place to go for fantastic cocktails made by friendly bar men in a chic setting. Recommend the Forbidden Fruit cocktail. style over substance. restaurant and bar very beautifully decorated, but eating did not fit. Gourmet-Burger was something they would expect to see in a pub chain for half price. the french wobbles tasted like bisto. the deserts were small and disappointing. good example for style over substance, but with the price from somewhere much more beautiful.

absolutely terrible, one of the worst places I was ever for a stylish romantic meal, there was a table down at the bottom swearing all night and screaming, but no one did something that was eating bland and had no taste at all, the only beautiful ding was a waitress with dark short hair and quite young. the decoration was also ok. in all a waiting period and money.

not in a few years and probably average humming this trip up. eating was extremely dirty and it was lacking taste. the service was good of our waitress, the maitre d fled between the bar and the main switch at the arrival as they were short workers in the bar area. the place was very quiet for a Friday. the venue must check their menu and taste, as it is the main reason that we would not return. whatever happened?. I used to be a regular barhog in the residence before I left one. Previously there was a fabulous, entertaining and friendly bar staff. They used to make the "tom cruise" thing with jogging the bottles when they made you a cocktail. the whole place was full of atmosphere. what they have given now is a budding child who pour drinks. I can get it from anywhere. I'm sorry, but I want a little atmosphere too.

again and again I want to treat my mother and try to expand her horizons (I have covered her unfortunateness beforehand), and so I decided that I would take her to my favorite upmarket restaurant in my local city nantwich. since 2007 the residency has occupied a striking and beautiful building in the heart of the city (built in the 17th century as Georgian herren house, and previously home to the Mayor of london, edmund wright).

"Visiting Crewe with my wife we decided to take an early lunch at Miller and Carter. Our choice of restaurant being influenced by an earlier experience at the Telford outlet. Receiving a warm greeting from Reception we were shown to our table by David, who was to be our server throughout the meal. The Fixed Price Menu seemed to meet our needs and we ordered starters of salt and pepper calamari and sticky chipotle chicken. The main course being two 7 oz Rump steaks, one served with a mixed salad and the other with onion loaf, tomato, and seasoned fries. Drinks comprised a glass of a very pleasing South African merlot and a Fevertree tonic water. The meal met with our expectations and the steaks (cooked medium) had just the right degree of pinkness. The dishes were well prepared, nicely presented, and the steaks in particular were full of flavour. Competitively priced at £16.25 per head for a 2-course lunch, or £19.25 if wanting a dessert, we thought it represented very good value for money. The restaurant gave out a pleasant ambience and the spacious seating ensured comfort in just the right setting. Mention should also be made of the washroom facilities which were as to be expected. Having spent a good number of years in Hospitality Management I could not fault our young attendant David, who we both thought performed his tasks to a high standard. Happy to recommend."
