"After tonight’s experience I would never recommend this restaurant again, food presented awful soup looked like sick slopped in a pan next to sauces etc, food tasted different, very dry and not pleasant, puddings well what can I say... frozen cheese cake, Eton mess minus meringue and Barely a fruit to be seen, dried up sponge cake, staff arguing, and when we Paid we asked if place had been taken over and the women said it’s not good in here anymore is it (well what more can I say), £25 wasted and down the pan, problem around us also wasting lots of food, wasn’t even worth £5pp with these lack of standards the place will be closed down in no time"

"Due to covid restrictions, all dining was outdoors. Our table was a bit small, especially as we ordered four dishes with rice. We came here to taste their Singapore chilli crab as we had heard its excellent unfortunately they informed us they had ran out of it during lunch time. We ended up ordering other dishes which didn’t disappoint! Especially the spicy aubergine in yellow bean sauce was excellent! The price was what you’d expect of a restaurant of this quality."

"This restaurant has now changed its name to Blue Bamboo. We had a great dinner here, the food was amazing as usual much nicer than your average Chinese restaurant! Try the dim sum basket and the sweet and sour King Prawns FANTASTIC! Note also, you get 25% off dinner (excluding Dim Sum), which is a nice bonus, although I don't know why they don't just make the menu 25% cheaper. I would not recommend desert here as it is overpriced around £8.50. Overall a great place!!"

"Food is usually very good, however they are so focussed on the takeaway side of the business that seated customers are left waiting and waiting for their order. Eventually when they served us our entrée dish uncooked. The waitress was very nice and offered us a discount. The rest of our meal was delicious. Waiting staff on a Friday night is under pressure, they keep going back and forth from the kitchen to the door, outside there is a line of delivery drivers, the atmosphere is frantic, not relaxing."

"We came here for my daughters 16th last July which was amazing and my dads 70th birthday this weekend and had a night to remember. The staff are friendly the food was delicious plentiful but what really made the night was the DJ and his music. I love the birthday sing along tradition here and the photos taken of the night. "Chizuru Tei definitely ranks above average among Japanese restaurants in Edinburgh, yet not the top quality of Japanese food I have had here. Their best come with the rolls I love the dragon roll with avocado which is always a great compliment to such dishes. We had their tempura twice, first time the batter was really well done and the prawn was quite tender, yet in our second visit the batter was slightly soaked and the prawn came a bit rubbery. Sashimi from the set (3 kinds of sashimi) was fine, both salmon and sea bass were good, they just didn’t offer the best sort of tuna here."

"A busy and cheerful restaurant!. I love this place for what it is. Cheap and tasty food, big portions and a standard Chinese menu where you can find anything you are looking for. The service is amazingly quick but sometimes you'll have to wait on the weekends/Friday night when it gets busy. I come here most of the time I come to Greenwich and given that I commute there on an almost bi-weekly basis, is a lot. Spring rolls and spicy calamari rings are really good. I love the fresh fruit juice- it is processed instantaneously upon order. The waitress there are very friendly."

"I had a very satisfying experience dining at a Chinese restaurant. The meat was extremely tasty and cooked delicately, and the sauces were delicious. The flavors reminded me of my childhood. I highly recommend this restaurant, and my family and I will definitely be ordering from here again. The service was excellent and the food surpassed most Chinese restaurants I have been to. "Great food however please be aware there is more than one food menu and they may not offer both to you. I ordered from the more limited menu but saw others people getting sushi which was not on my menu. When I enquired how they were ordering sushi I was then told about menu 2. I wanted to change my order but unfortunately it had already gone to the kitchen and couldn’t be changed. This was incredibly disappointing and ruined our dining experience as first time visitors. It seems if your not a regular you may end up missing out. Restaurant occupancy was about 30 but despite this it felt as if were being rushed out which also made us feel a bit unwelcome. I would probably give oita one more try and hopefully next time is better"

"The food was incredibly delicious. Unfortunately, when we visited on Friday evening around 7 PM, they had run out of roasted duck, which was disappointing since we were eager to try it. We did try the beef, which was fantastic. However, the noodles served as a side were overly salty and rich, which overshadowed the beef. The portions were quite large; we could barely finish half of the noodles between the two of us. Also, at over £9, we felt that the noodles were quite expensive."
