"Christmas Eve lunch. We were not given a choice of festive or normal menu when booking, so when we arrived, crackers etc on all other tables except ours. Even if we didn't have the festive menu, it's still Christmas and it would have been nice for the table to have had crackers etc like the others. The food was lovely, just luke warm which was a shame. Lots of choice though, and we would go back again on a Sunday as they have lamb"

"I'm disappointed to say that since the renovation, we have visited the Knowle Toby three times. The last visit was the worst. Upon entering, we had to wait to be seated. Last Saturday, we waited over 10 minutes to be seated. There was only one person looking after the tables. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I had to ask if we could go straight up to get our food. It was then that they took our drink order. The carvery area was not clearly marked, and some people were going through the exit instead of the entrance. The quality of the food has been decreasing, and the amount of meat served is inconsistent. When we returned to our table, we found that the food was lukewarm. We are not ones to complain in order to get a free meal. I find it unprofessional for employees to talk about work while guests are eating. It took a long time and a second request to receive the bill after we had asked for it."

"we have booked a table and arrived and waited in cash with a drink. we finally sat after another couple that was before us but had not booked. what is the point when booking a table when they have to wait their rotation anyway? on the food counter, I chose the bark and mean the truthahn and gammon. the bark was totally infertile, I couldn't even let it chew alone. but after complaining the waiter quickly changed it for the truthahn who was pretty good. the cauliflower cheese was not cheesy at all, but the brat potatoes and cauliflowers were quite beautiful. overall it did not consider a good value for money, but then it was bank holiday Monday and I think it is cheaper in the week, but do not intend to go back."

"Toby Carvery Hoole Village is a great place to visit we all love going, the only criticism I would give is we once visited Toby Carvery Huddersfield on the way home from a trip out, and for some reason the Toby Carvery Huddersfield Gravy was out of this world. Now we have tasted that Gravy we think that the Toby Carvery Hoole Village Gravy is watered Down, as it is rather bland. As we loved the Toby Carvery Huddersfield Gravy so much, we have thought of making a 1hour 45 minus trip just to go out for lunch there."

"a beautiful place for a Sunday caraby and the price for two people with drinks was actually very reasonable. the staff was very friendly and attentive so we feel comfortable and relaxed. it would be advisable to make a booking for the Sunday meal, although they seem to manage the time setting and service to not allow the place to be too full at any time or that the malts wait too long to take place. even so we were not rushed to go, but there was a steady flow of diners, during my visit, as the people have gone and tables have been deleted and reset for new arrivals. we had made a booking, but I noticed that they have done their best to record people who are simply sunk without booking for lunch. we had a really pleasant meal."

"We had our first visit for breakfast and it was an excellent experience! The staff was pleasant and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. We celebrated my wife's 50th birthday, which her brother had arranged as a special treat to kickstart her day. What made it even more memorable was that our family, including our granddaughters, surprised her after breakfast with a customized cake, flowers, and cards. The staff was brilliant; they were very helpful, and the manager even stopped by to chat with us. Initially, we were hesitant to visit because we had heard mixed reviews about the breakfast, but after our experience on June 14th, I can confidently say it was excellent. The value for money was outstanding, and we will definitely be returning! A big thank you to all the employees and management for making this occasion so special."

"Upon arrival and stating my name and table reservation the manager told me that we hadn 't reserved a table as they don 't bother to look at the table bookings through this site . I told him that I had phoned 3 times prior and no one picked up and he said yeah we just ignore that . I said that this is unnacceptable and that the service shouldn 't be advertised if it 's something they don 't act upon. After recognising that I was clearly distressed by the situation and that I was in happy to wait for a table for one and a half hours he then seated us in about 3-4 minutes. Upon walking to the rear of the restaurant I was very annoyed to see a number of empty tables that had been laid but not sat at. Had I of not said that we were unhappy to wait for so long for a table then we would have been waiting an age when there was ample seating available. Disrespectful old git, clearly unhappy that he was marked on the rota for the Sunday shift."

"I'm giving the Poole branch a 4 star rating, as the staff are always very polite and chatty. And, to be fair, the roast is still pretty good value for money. However, for a long time this branch has required an overhaul in terms of refurbishment. My wife and I would visit more often (it is our local), but it is far from appealing! It's a real shame, as it could be a great place, based on the unique building and large rear garden area..... but it is all very tired! Looking forward to a time when the company invest in the branch and realise it's great potential!"

"went here for a meal on sunday 8th september, unfortunately upon visit being told we only had 45 minutes on our table even though we had informed the manager we wouldn’t have enough time as we had a disabled child with us and her response was that due to the high volume on a sunday that’s not her problem, we weren’t informed this upon booking, going for a roast once sat down after a few mouthful i discovered a snail in my roast dinner, the waitress was very apologetic and quickly removed the snail I understand things like this happen, however after speaking with another waitress she explained how before they’ve had half a dead mouse in there food before, this place needs seriously sorting out : won’t be returning to any toby carvery ever again !"

"I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. Despite being fully booked, there were no queues, which was impressive. The service was excellent, and the food, especially the meats, was amazing. Every piece was delicious and I couldn't stop eating. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming and organized. The only downside was being seated in the children's area, where a loud TV playing children's films made it hard to have conversations. Although they attempted to lower the volume, it was still too loud. Overall, a perfect dining experience marred only by the noisy environment."

"the place was beautiful and was greeted by a friendly host who sat quickly and served us. the carousel was fresh and the part of the meat was good. the boil lee was very friendly while serving and gave great cuts. the veg and the sides were beautiful and plentiful and the yorkshire puddings were great. the place is quite cheap and the children's meals are about half the price of an adult, but almost so much meat. it has free parking spaces close to bus routes for easy access. the bar was also beautiful and the drinks are quite expensive, including floorless fizzy drinks. would definitely recommend for a nice roasted dinner."

"I visited the restaurant on Sunday with my mother and sister, and I’m glad we made a reservation in advance because it was quite busy. We all chose the carvery, and it did not disappoint. The food was cooked to perfection, featuring traditional roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Our waitress, Amy, was excellent and took great care of us. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, and the pub itself was clean. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’ve already recommended this pub to my colleagues."

"Booked a table and when we got there they said they hadn't received the booking. They found us a table. The waitress spent her whole time on her phone. We had to stop her and ask for drinks and when it came to paying we went to the bar as we waited for at least 15 minutes after the plates was taken. We wasn't offered deserts. The food was really nice and you get a lot of it. It's pretty cheap as well. I would happily go back for the food"

"The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere with delicious food and attentive staff. The prices are reasonable. However, my wife and daughter were disappointed with the cocktails they ordered from the bar, as they did not taste as expected. The Mojito in particular lacked mint and flavor. On the other hand, the unlimited coke I purchased was perfect. Despite the cocktail mishap, we will definitely be returning for the food."

"My husband and I went for breakfast this morning and it was terrible. The sausage was so burnt and hard that it could have knocked my husband out. The eggs were burnt, the bacon was black and in little pieces. The only decent part was the mushrooms. We were very disappointed and won't be returning."
