Not even bad placed mask on the chin as many people use, not a single mask at sight. Every other take away that I have used in the last week had employees with masks as mandatory for every open business. Being a restaurant with a open door on a tier 4 area I expected much more from Desi."

"First time trying this lovely takeaway. We ordered meals for 6 people, it was ready within 45 mins for collection. Sadly we were missing the naan bread and poppadums but they realised immediately so before i had chance to contact them they,rang me and then delivered the missing items whilst the food was still hot! Onion bhajis were delicious crispy and not greasy, fresh salad too. Main dishes were the best I have tasted in long time, I'm so impressed will definitely be ordering from here again. Thank you"

"The four courses included a poppadom, a starter, a curry, and nan bread. The poppadom was disappointing as it was cold and stale, and only came with two accompaniments - a spicy yogurt and mango chutney. The onion bhajees for the starter were freshly cooked and tasty, but the accompanying salad was not fresh as the cucumber was starting to turn brown. The Chicken Korma was generous, hot, and delicious, and the nan bread was also good. The service was quick and efficient. I was disappointed to find out that they did not serve wine, although I later noticed they had lager in the fridge, raising questions about their drinks license policy. There was bottled water on the table, but it was not complimentary and cost over £3 if consumed. I was able to get a smaller bottle for £1.95 when I asked. Overall, I would recommend sticking to the freshly cooked dishes and avoiding the poppadoms and salad."

Walks to school including a stop at Taylors News for sweets, chippy tea, hair cut, pharmaceutical support... An indian restaurant. Visiting parents, as now live in Lincolnshire, and they took me here... Service; fantastic, very personal, great conversation. Location; 'hidden ' away, and parking could be an issue if early doors. Drinks; unlicensed, so BYOB. Wine for me. Food; when 'testing ' an Indian restaurant I will always go with the chefs/restaurants 'own ' Jalfrazi. If its good, I know the rest of the menu will be good. Lots of experience here . No complaints from parents, nor myself. Price; absolutely spot on for portion size. Lamb Tikka Sylheti Jalfrazi. Not over powered with chilli, just a nice warmth on the back of the tongue, perfection. As well as the starters, all was beautiful. Highly recommended, and parents say take out/delivery is spot on too. Those that know me, you know I like my curry. If i say its good, its very good. They are either overly spicy or bland, and often drenched in oil and artificial coloring. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this particular restaurant. I had taken away several times from cafe spice and it disappointed never. large portions of absolutely delicious curry and great naan to very favorable trips means that this place cannot be missed. "This restaurant has really gone downhill over the years. The hygiene is lacking, which is a shame because the host was very hospitable. Once seated, we were handed menus which were dirty and sticky. Ordered the drinks, they came in glasses which were marked and sticky down the side. The drink was room temperature flat pop. The food that came didn’t taste bad, but it certainly wasn’t “good”. Very small portion of rice which the curry drowned if you were to pour it all on your plate. Bread was burnt and tasteless. Went to the men’s bathroom by mistake, my god it was stinking. Stunk of urine and it was dirty! I was disgusted by the soap on the sink, how they thought it was ok to leave this filthy black god knows how old bar of soap there for customers. Whole place needs a good bleaching! They’re meant to be rated 4 by the food standards agency but it needs updating!"

"I did make a reservation but really didn't need it as we were the only ones in the restaurant, we opted for the all you can eat menu. to be honest the difference between the buffet style and normal menu price wise is minimal, we compared with what we had to the normal menu and it was only £3.50 less. the only thing is the buffet menu is very limited (basic). The portions are very good and Allan the host bagged up our left overs to take away which they don't normally do for buffet lunch. They run tribute nights which we will book in the future as the acts seem quite good plus they do girls night, prosecco all night and a lads night(cobra lager) i would like to go to an evening seating to give a full review but this restaurant can be interesting."

"It's an affordable take away restaurant. Since I stay at Kelvinhaugh it's pretty near but for quick delicious meals. Pizza deals are great for £5.99. However the most annoying thing about this place is lack of hygiene. I saw people working and adding ingredients without wearing gloves or head caps. It's was really disturbing. The kitchen seems to be steamy and workers are sweaty..If u aren't that hygienic and looking for a cheap great offer meal deal then it's the right place or else avoid!!"
