Aromatic basmati rice infused with saffron, delivering a warm, golden hue and a subtly floral, earthy flavor.

"The three of us shared 2 starters and 3 mains. The trio of starters was delicious, although one was a surprisingly bright green. The lamb strips were particularly impressive, served with a red-currant jelly and Indian spices. For those who enjoy a rich, slightly sweet curry, the lamb and apricot dish is a must-try. My sister's lamb practically melted off the bone, while my friend loved her creamy and flavorful New Delhi chicken. The naan bread was some of the best I've had, light and crispy, and the side of mushroom curry was also a hit. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant - as a self-proclaimed foodie, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. At £21 per person including drinks, it was a bargain for such a great dining experience."

"A group of friends and I visited Glasgow and stumbled upon this charming restaurant. I was impressed by the beautiful paintings on the walls that brought back childhood memories. However, the food was a letdown. We ordered fish pakora and chili chicken, but the presentation of the chili chicken was unconventional and not to our liking. The taste was also disappointing. The Gol Goppa was a standout dish. The chicken Chettinadu and prawn korma were okay, but lacked authenticity. The biryani was overly buttery, overshadowing the spices and fragrance. The naan was the highlight of the meal. The staff was polite and the service was efficient. Overall, this restaurant may not be suitable for those seeking authentic Indian cuisine."

"This is an excellent place if you want dishes that are not typically found on Indian restaurant menus. Beautiful, region-specific set of dishes, with a personal twist of the chef. Everything is cooked from scratch; all ingredients seem very fresh and of good quality (the lamb I had was succulent and melting in the mouth; the chicken my partner had was soft and flaky). Just the right amount of spice and hotness. Lots of special, surprisingly tasty dishes. The only drawback of the fresh/from-scratch cooking is that it takes a long time for food to arrive. But the waited gives you a nice warning and you're relaxed. Have a few drinks from a well stocked bar in the meantime!"

"The food and service at Dixit were excellent! I tried the whole lobster and ribeye steak, both of which were served perfectly. To top it off, I was even provided with lemon water to clean my hands after eating the lobster."

"Hands down the best chicken shop in the southwest! Not only are the staff polite, professional and highly skilled but the food is divine. All meats, breads and dairy are fresh everyday and all meals are served to restaurant quality(I can tell this as I eat at alot of establishments) . You can be in for a long wait if getting delivery but it 's always worth the wait in the end. Although it 's a 'chicken shop ' the gourmet beef burgers are my favourite thing on the menu. Can 't forget the buy one get one free on pizzas aswell (always useful when moneys tight)... Literally a domino 's pizza for way less! While I 'm at it.. Give the milkshakes a try they make 'shakes to go ' look awful. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK CHICKENZOS."

"Milan has a lovely cuisine that does not bloat like other brand name Indian restaurants. The food is well made and has an authentic Indian feel. It has a good variety, but not so extensive as to make you undecided about what to order... The location is easy to reach in the city and close to other well known Indian restaurants. The service was very good and friendly. How could you make it to an outstanding score: More attention to moving the dinner smoothly. Gap between starters and main course could be shorter More comfortable chairs"

"I chose this place this morning, as the crossers were clearly visible. both employees were really, not superficial, friendly as I approached. there was only enough space to sit and read. the American was beautiful and strong. in the background there were real jazz music that was not too loud. not a generic jazz playlist, but a good group that plays pleasant melodies. slightly less than £4 for coffee and croissant. will be back."

"I was aimlessly wandering around and came upon this gem in a neighborhood lined with pretty shops and gorgeous homes. It seems to be frequented by local residents, which was exactly what I was looking for, and it has a little shop that sells fruits, vegetables, pasta, olive oils, etc. I ordered Spaghetti Bolognese, which was perfectly cooked, hot and topped with just the right amount of parmesan. The meat sauce has to be the recipe from someone's little, old nonna. It was out of this world. I couldn't finish it so I took the leftovers to go along with a scrumptious piece of strawberry cheesecake and a bag filled with oil, vinegar, chips and sweets! Thank you, James I wish I knew how to spell your real name!!"

"We booked this restaurant last minute and made our reservation the last one on a Saturday evening which was 10:30pm. Due to the concert at nearby Sage running late, we were late as a result! The restaurant called me just to check we were still attending and we confirmed that we were and arrived 10 minutes late. That was absolutely no problem to the team. They made us feel so welcome and I un rushed as I’m sure they, like anyone else, wanted to get tidied away and home! The whole team were so friendly, they chatted with us and really made us feel like a valued customer. This meant a lot. Next is the food! It was absolutely amazing, we all had a fantastic meal, the sauces were superb. I have to say that this was probably one of the best Indian meals I have ever had! Would thoroughly recommend!"

"We booked a table, surprisingly it wasn’t that busy. There were lots of delivery drivers collecting, easy to understand why. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Not hot either. Bring your own alcohol if you want a drink, soft drinks only served, well advertised. They don’t charge corkage either. We started with a poppodom each, they were freshly cooked (not the usual pre made reheated rubbish), they were like fluffy but crunchy clouds, they just melted in the mouth, not hard and not oily. I could easily eat half a dozen of these with mango chutney and raita for a meal. The mango chutney and raita are made freshly in the restaurant, unfortunately the manager wouldn’t share the recipes, darn lol. Considering everything is made fresh to order the service is very quick. I hadn’t even finished my poppodom before the chicken tikka starter arrived. Hubby and I shared a chicken tikka starter, we have both been eating Indian food for over 40 years, and said we both thought it was the best chicken tikka we had ever tasted. It was succulent, and delicious. It could only have been improved by the raw sliced onions accompanying it having been lightly fried. Served with a piece of hot lemon too, perfect. The King Prawn Karahi was excellent, awesome taste, the Chilli Chicken was suitably hot and had a delicious flavour as well. We were so busy eating and waxing lyrical about our dinner we hardly had time to talk to each other lol. We ordered Keema Rice, I was disappointed because it had peppers and tomatoes in it (that’s a first for us). As I had asked for my dish to have no peppers or tomatoes we mentioned it to the manager, he apologised, said it was an error and removed the rice from our bill. The manager was very nice, did a check back as well. The portions are a good size, so value for money. If we lived nearer we would probably have a weekly delivery from here, if not more often. It’s rare to get perfectly cooked food with such good flavour, and great service as well. Definitely looking forward to next time we eat here. I can highly recommend eating here. Can’t remember the last time I thought that, or found a restaurant this good. Thank you to the manager and chef for making our little break perfect."

"Birmingham is one of the two capitals of Indian food in England (the other one being Bradford). It is home to Balti dishes, and Balti houses abound all over the city. With so many great-tasting and reasonably-priced Indian food options around, it is quite impressive that a higher end, pricier Indian restaurant like Pushkar has established a loyal clientele. Pushkar sets itself apart from other Indian restaurants in the area due to its upscale setting, the high quality of its food ingredients, and especially its creative dessert offerings. My first dining experience at Pushkar was purely by chance. I was staying near Brindley Place, and happened to be walking past the restaurant, when I decided to stop and check out the menu. The duck masala sounded interesting, so I decided to try it, and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The thick tomato-based curry had a fantastic flavor profile that consisted of garlic, ginger, black pepper and red chilies. It paired well with basmati rice and a side of raita. Since my first visit, I have dined at Pushkar a few more times, and have always enjoyed everything I have tried. The murgh korma stands out as a rich, creamy, nutty curry dish that is perfect for you if you are in the mood for something less spicy. The innovative desserts at Pushkar are a major draw for me. The gajar ka halwa tart with pistachio ice cream is my personal favorite. The garam masala brulee sounded interesting, but didn't taste too different from regular crème brulee; the garam masala in it was really only a hint of cinnamon. It still was pretty tasty. The chocomosa is a filo samosa filled with chocolate and roast almonds, and is served with a scoop of cappuccino ice cream. Why had nobody else ever thought of creating a chocolate samosa, and if they did, why had I never eaten one before? Friends, if you find yourselves in Brummy, you must treat yourselves to a meal at Pushkar. It is truly deserving of all of the awards that have been bestowed upon it, including the 2015 British Curry Award, the 2015 Best of Broad Street Award, and the 2015 English Curry Award."

"My wife and I had dinner here using a Groupon voucher £49 for three courses each and a glass of either Prosecco or Aperol Spritz). It was a set menu but still plenty to choose from. Some higher-end dishes attracted a surcharge but this wasn’t excessive. The restaurant itself is pleasant enough. Standard hotel restaurant decor. The staff were extremely welcoming and provided excellent service. The food wasn’t much to write home about though sadly. Lovely hot bread was served with our Prosecco which was in a beautiful glass it must be said). Starters were the best course. I had salt and pepper squid with a chilli jam which was very good and my wife had cauliflower and keens cheddar soup which was served with a big cheesy croutons which she loved. I opted to pay a surcharge for the rib eye steak for main course which I asked for rare. Now I expect rare to be hot and seared on the outside whilst still **** in the middle. What I got was a just about lukewarm grey piece of meat which, the fat of which had not been rendered so was still like jelly. Inside the meat was dry and on the blue side of rare. It wasn’t particularly tasty I don’t think it has been seasoned before cooking) and certainly wasn’t ****. I regularly cook steak at home and sear and seal it on a hot griddle pan so that it has a nice char but it is still juicy inside. It’s easily done. For pudding I had the lemon tart with clotted cream which was average. My wife had date pudding essentially sticky toffee pudding) which was dry but sitting on a pool of sickeningly sweet sauce. Again, average. It was an enjoyable experience in general for the money paid but not somewhere I’d return to in a hurry or pay full price for."

"Chutneys offers a great vegetarian lunch buffet. It is one of a small number of restaurants on Drummond Street doping so, and a fraction cheaper than some of the better known names, but the food is every bit as good and offers excellent value. There's a good selection of cold salads often centred round pulses with warm onion bhajis and roti to start the roti were the only slightly disappointing part of the whole meal as they were a little tough ! . Main dishes includes lentils, chickpeas, mushrooms and cauliflower in distinctive curries, with rice and a good selection of pickles. And there's also dessert with milk jellies and a nice variety of fresh fruit. I had a sparkling lemon and mint drink made to order not from a can it was very nice too, but slightly expensive. But they will just provide you with tap water, and also sell lassis. Note that it's not vegan I heard another diner ask which dishes were, and most were not vegan as many contain yoghurt or ghee. But for vegetarians it's great! Note that the buffet is not served at weekends, I believe."

"This restaurant is a fantastic spot for evening drinks. The atmosphere is cool, the music is decent, and the cocktails are nice. The crowd is very young, but that doesn't bother me personally."

"We visited this restaurant for a birthday celebration, and as soon as we sat down, the six of us knew it was going to be a bad experience. We were seated downstairs in a booth that was sticky, with fruit flies buzzing around. We ordered poppadoms, which took 20 minutes to arrive and were stale. The waiter replaced them, but they were stale again. The starters were okay, but the main dishes were tough and dry, so most of us didn't eat much. When we asked to speak to the manager about our dissatisfaction with waiting nearly 2 hours for cold food, he never showed up despite our wait. The staff falsely accused us of not wanting to pay and even threatened to call the police. Eventually, the restaurant agreed to discount the items we didn't receive, saving us around £40. The food was below average and the service was the worst I've ever encountered. Another table nearby was also unhappy and demanded a refund, so be cautious if you choose to dine here."
