"today my family had lunch in the green bro’s. my wife had a shader with our 9-month son and I went for the donor. everything was delicious and we would recommend our meal in any case. the paprika salt is certainly a delicious supplement. the whole place was tastefully decorated (including the very clean and huge toilet just mindful of the narrow staircase) and it feels like we could relax, eat and drink very well. the selection of drinks is great with the freshly pressed orange juice my first choice. my son loved it too! we will come back to try the milkshakes. the green bro’s also have a non-alcoholic gordon’s, brewdog and peroni. the personal was attentive while we gave ourselves time to enjoy our meal. I also have to mention that it does not seem to be a vegan tax. everything was good. if they are so desperate that we try the green bro’s, I would recommend sending a booking via telefoning or an email. I think they said an online system is on the way, this can only be their first week, but they run a slick service and we can't wait to return. thanks for a great experience!"

"My husband, son, and I recently visited San Giovanni's for the first time since before the COVID lockdown, and we were thrilled to be able to enjoy a sit-down meal experience once again. Although we have been ordering takeout meals, there is just something special about sitting around a table together. It was my 65th birthday, and this dinner was a wonderful treat. We started with garlic bread and a variety of appetizers, including tender spare ribs, meatballs, and calamari. For our main courses, I had a delicious fillet steak stroganoff with rice, my husband tried the linguine al gamberoni, and my son enjoyed his favorite, lobster ravioli. We finished off with affogato for dessert, our go-to Italian treat. We enjoyed a selection of drinks including a mojito cocktail, beer, and a lovely bottle of wine with our meals. The total bill came to a reasonable £191. One small issue was that our online reservation did not receive an acknowledgement, so we called to confirm our booking. While it was not a problem for a quiet Thursday evening, it could be disappointing on a busier night or special occasion. I would recommend calling to book in the future. Overall, it was a fantastic evening and we highly recommend San Giovanni's."

"Popped into the Rockpool café for breakfast while staying in Cullen. The cafe is bright and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive. I had the vegetarian breakfast which included vegan lorne sausage, which was absolutely delicious. My husband had the full Scottish which he also said was really nice. Big breakfast 2 x eggs, 2 x tattie scones, 1 x sausage, 1 x lorne sausage, mushrooms, fried tomato, beans and toast. They are very popular with many tables already reserved at 10am when they opened. There was a constant stream of locals who come in to get their morning coffee and takeaway breakfast always a good sign I would say?"

"with its cozy atmosphere and the simple but tasty menu selection there is a real authenticity to this restaurant. it is one of the best Italian meals I had without leave! there was a good vegetarian selection and the daily specials gave extra choice on the menu. my friend and I enjoyed a really hearty meal with the pleasant house red wine and the total cost were surprisingly reasonable. Overall, I was impressed by the quality of food, service and price-performance ratio; will definitely be next time when I am in the opposite."

"Having successfully deposited our eldest in her new Uni digs and having enjoyed an evenings kip in an adjoining Manchester hotel we were in two minds where to breakfast. MrsC’s growing angst over the likely state of our home after allowing our youngest free rein for a garden party proved persuasive so we decided on an early exit an victuals en route. A scan of Happy Cow and Google combined allied to our southbound travel threw up Wild and Wild as a convenient stop off before we rejoined the M6. Pleased to see that it opened at 10;00am on a Sunday whilst registering our likely arrival at 10:15 we added the required SatNav waypoint and trained our behemoth on its new path. There was convenient free parking on the Sunday and we ambled on the pedestrianised section to Wild and Wild; sitting slightly incongruously next to a Costa. The place is light and well laid out and an enticing array of cakes and pastries greets you as you enter. The usual instructive board informed us “to please wait to be seated” which we did. The young lady who appeared to be both front of house, barista and server said she would be with us after serving her present customer; which was fine but, in truth, simply having the menus on the tables and allowing you to sit yourself at empty unreserved tables would seemed to have been the least intrusive and effective means of managing the flow? Anyway we were handed drinks/food menus and then informed that we could, in effect, do exactly that and seat ourselves. The breakfast/brunch menu was concise but convincing and for speed and efficiency MrsC and I settled on two “full English”, vegan of course, and two oat milk lattes. Queued again and gave the order and paid there and then. Though we haven’t been out too much recently the coffee prices seemed about right but the breakfast seemed a tad high. Understanding how inflation is hitting that might just be an impression but if we had stayed in Manchester and returned to the Lounge a similar menu would have been 30% less. Then it started going awry. The wait for the coffee seemed long; the wait for the food almost interminable (around 40-45 mins in truth) Halfway through that wait another server had magicked into operation and it switched from queuing to order to table service. She was professional enough to highlight to new incoming customers that drinks would be about 10 mins/food 30. Something not considered worthy of note to us earlier arrivals. The breakfast was ok. The vegan sausages appeared homemade with rice wrapper “skins” but they were woefully dry and overcooked. The whole vine of oven roasted cherry tomatoes were good as was the star of the show the Smokey “baked beans”. The toast was good quality bread but cut too thin to successfully soak up both beans and the sweet tomatoes. The other components of mixed greens and mushrooms and tofu scramble were under seasoned and a little bland. The potato rosti was a little dense but ok. Sadly the food was underwhelming and more so due to the long wait; ill fitting the vibe and the surroundings especially as the place wasn’t heaving at any time. Always feel awkward knocking eateries in these uncertain times but, in this case, expectations raised by the feel of the place allied to the prices charged, we’re not met by the quality of the food. Perhaps it’s better suited to an afternoon cake and a drink session? Disappointed."

"WOW!!!! what a find!!! Went to Hunstanton for a day trip and needed food was special occasion so all had the lobster thermidor.... just WOW!!! In a coastal town of fish and chips and traditional sea side stuff this Bostro excells!! But to start .. the place is nice can take coffee outside on good weather day seating inside not cramped but well spaced. Well laid out and very friendly welcome. Menu is excellent really could have chosen any one from 5 or 6 .. even the light bites menu is really exhaustive and very good looking food. Prices starters 5 10 each... mains most are 15 25 and then full lobster is 40 (which is actually good especially for this quality) Each course well presented and every mouthful a joy. Highlights ... Pork Belly Starter absolutely superb. Lobster sauce was perfect meat was plentiful (unlike some places) and salad and fries on the side everything was just enough and I cant tell you how good... Well I can actually... we live nearly 2 hours from Hunny and would consider going there JUST FOR LUNCH! We 'll be back and Id encourage anyone to give it a try!"

"Very Good B&B and Restaurant with friendly owner and Staff. There was a group of us that stayed here from Cardiff. The rooms were modern, spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was modern and clean. The accommodation was Very good and the breakfsst was Excellent. Plenty of it and cookec just right. The service was very good also. The only small thing was could of done with tea and coffee making in the room. I also ate food in the bar. Ordered the Chicken Stack. Chargrilled Chicken Breast in Bushmills Whiskey Sauce, stacked in champ, topped with onion ring. It was delicious and cooked just right. We had a great stay here."

"first visit for us and we were both very impressed. we visited on a Saturday afternoon after the use of google to find a local restaurant and decide here based on the pictures. I have shared some pictures of our visit for them as we have ordered what we saw online typical choice with our eyes to eat! eating was really nice and the pictures really do, do the food justice. everything was fresh and everything we hoped for. service was a little quiet with regard to check-ins, but the interactions we had were polite and friendly. I would have been glad to share how happy we were with everything, especially the starters we had chosen, but this opportunity did not occur. we heard a table close in asking how everything was so that I wouldn't take too much away from it. a really nice visit. we couldn't manage this dessert, but we'll definitely be back. some other information. we have previously called to make sure that they can take us what they could, but they can also book 30 minutes before the indication from inside or outside via the website, availability permit. there was only one other family to eat when we arrived, so it was nice and quiet and that was around 12 on a Saturday. we decided, because it is still enclosed and heated, which was beautiful. it has pick up while we were there, but it was okay for walk-ins."

A nice breakfast hamper provided too in the room next morning as they don’t provide cooked breakfast. Even though it’s on the Main Street it was really quiet at night. Would have been perfect if we could have had a cooked breakfast but would still strongly recommend The Angel. Thank you!"

"I had the pleasure of dining at Lochleven Seafood Café during my visit to Glencoe, and it was an absolute delight! The location of the café, tucked away in a scenic area, added to the charm of the experience. The seafood was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the variety of options on the menu was impressive. What really stood out, however, was the helpfulness of the staff. They were not only knowledgeable about the menu, but also had great tips for local tourist attractions and activities. It really added to the overall experience and made me feel welcomed as a tourist in the area. To top it off, the Arran Ice Cream was the best I've ever had, and the tablet flavor was a real treat. I would highly recommend a visit to Lochleven Seafood Café to anyone visiting Glencoe. It's a true gem in the area, with delicious food, helpful staff, and an unforgettable ice cream experience!"

"We went for Sunday family lunch to celebrate what would have been our mum’s birthday as this was her favourite restaurant. Food was first class as was the service. One gripe. Extremely disappointed as we booked and paid a deposit for 10 people and only 8 of us could make it due to last minute sickness and we were deducted the 2 poorly peoples deposit as no show so £20. We were told it’s the restaurant policy. Surely this could have been discretionary. Sgt Peppers was our lovely mum and dad’s place they would go for special occasions and take friends and family (and were known to the staff) and I know they would have been as surprised and disappointed as we were. Would have given 5 stars if we hadn’t had this experience."

"Ordered breakfast to take away here as my son was playing rugby. 2 very straightforward, no fuss breakfast items. Took 25minutes with no update from the staff until I had to ask, then handed the wrong order and when I said it’s not good enough was told I was rude. Never their fault as they stand around! I’ve tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt each time we have tried it but had enough making excuses for bad service, mediocre food and over charging we are members of the sports club so should get a discount but somehow they overcharged a tea, roll and omelette at almost £13 Time to get off your west end high horse and get the finger out at better service from the staff who today were more interested in making their own coffee than helping the paying customers"

We both indulged in the same main dish because we're both fans of belly pork, and we were absolutely not disappointed. It was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Honestly, given the quality of the food we had the pleasure of enjoying, that price is hardly extravagant these days. "My family of five dined at Kouzu while on vacation. Each of us felt a very strange vibe at Kouzu. We were seated in a corner of the first level by a woman who then took our drink orders. There was only one or two other tables filled. My son ordered a sodaâa coke. She said they didnât serve any soda in the restaurant. Really? So he instead ordered a water. She proceeded to bring a large bottle of water that she opened in front of us. I asked what it wasâthat he wanted just a tap water in place of the soda they didnât carry. The server then left the table. Another gentlemen came around and sort of took over. I asked him why they didnât carry any other drinks except waterâhe said oh we have lemonade coke, Diet Coke etc. The next strange thing was the menu. They gave us ample time with the menu and when they came to take our order I asked what a certain thing wasâhe said oh thatâs a priz five menu thatâs different! This menu has never been passed out to us. This was a sushi restaurant and what is niceâand needed quite honestlyâis a rundown of each item as itâs placed on the table, as the majority of us ordered a la carte. This didnât happen. I will say the food itself was delicious, however, the strange vibe we got coupled with the sizable price tag would deter me from patronizing this restaurant again if given the chance."
